Seems to me the best strategy is to stick with my ps4, scoop up all of these cross gen titles, and save up for a beast gaming rig. Then near the end of the gen if there are exclusives on ps5 i want to play pick up the cheaper vanilla ps5 because a pro should be out to lower the price, and play all the top titles discounted on playstation hits. Repeat cycle next next gen.

i guess they change their stance but this one is okay if they want to show power of their new controller and new 3d audio(i wish someone would buy the two game do a comparisiion on them on future) adding the visual upgrade

i am in the same kinda boat as you, I am beyond delighted with the console, what a great bit of kit and the price is unbelievable.
I will say i am a bit disappointed in the games price increases but tbh it was not surprising. i think i am slightly lucky that i have a massive back log of games, i don't have to buy any new generation games if i have to and still play something fresh every month for the next year, even two years lol, spiderman, days gone, ass creed origins/odsy etc etc
As for the ps4 games specifically horizon zero dawn 2, i am not sure i like it but i guess the engine is super scalable.
the truth is the main reason i want a ps5 was for the load times and extra performance for my favorite games, just being able to get the console is a win win in my book.
As for games going to pc, it never has bothered me, i can understand why people don't like it, but in all honesty, it has never really bothered me.

I'm very happy with the offering, but PS4 is 100% holding back PS5, but not in a "Craig" fashion which you have a PS3 game upscaled to 4K. Sony is doing crossgen the right way, I was just hoping to jump to 100% next gen experience day one. What we've seen from PS5 is still the pinnacle of gaming graphics so far. Let's hope GOW Ragnarok is a PS5-only title.

Yep, the PC thing has never really bothered me. The thing that disappoints me is the cross gen stuff. Man, I really wanted the flying mounts in Horizon.

I would rather play Demon's Souls with the Dual Sense on a console than waste money on a fucking driver downloader box. Miss me with that shit.
My parents had a PC when I was a kid, I hated it. I saw a Mac in school and never looked back. But Macs are not for gaming. And so I'm forever a console guy.

So i wonder if all those devs crying about the series s holding back the gaming industry are going to have anything to say about all of Sony's new games being cross gen for another year or two? By the time games stop being cross-gen devs will have had enough time with the series s tools and probably do some amazing things with it, even if it has lesser amount of ram etc.

I agree about PC. Its a fun joke to use, but it doesn't really matter too much usually.
The issue is if a PS5 game can actually be made to use the SSD without limits if its also going to PC and or PS4. I still say no. Thats fine for some games, but its a core pillar of the PS5. Sony need to use it.

Yeah, me too! Love console experience, PS5 will be my main gaming platform! The convenience and easiness of use are what matter for me the most. I'm not a graphics guy much, games are already looking incredibly good.
