I don't have a problem with this. Sony wants money just like all companies. I'm just glad the big Sony fans here will apologize for all the next gen talk and we can all just get back to playing the games we like. No need for war comments.

I'm not going to Rub it in. The game honestly looks amazing and I will absolutely play it somehow. It does bef the question though, if this was built from the ground up around PS5, ...does that mean....you can scale down development for weaker consoles? Or was this a PS4 game added to the launch roster

That's the point. People called this at the time. It's no problem. First game was awesome and I'll get this one at launch too. But it doesn't change the fact people got BLASTED from Bo, ethomaz and others for calling the obvious.

It is a shitty choice not to dedicate this to PS5 only as an exclusive, not happy with this decision.

Still, let’s see it running on PS4 and then compare it to the PS5 version before starting to call it clearly already running on PS4 for sure and a shitty update ;).

No, it means that this got a much smaller PS5 enhancement than it could have gotten as a PS5 only exclusive. Won’t look like shit, but unless it runs a lot lot worse on PS4 then yes it is being held back.

surprised Sony went back on their clear generations

"Bragging on it"? Could you explain what you mean? I've hardly talked about this game :messenger_tears_of_joy: I don't even really like the PS4 Spider-Man much, but visually it's great. I'm not going to get this game but again, visually, it looks really impressive at times.

If you're gonna talk nonsense I'm going to respond. That was a good overall showing by Sony and they are crushing it in compared to what Microsoft is doing. Microsoft needs to literally up their game. People who want to see more out of Microsoft (like myself) should be criticizing MS, not trying to nitpick a company that is actually doing really well with their product. As soon as MS starts crushing it with Xbox SX I'm completely on board and will defend or criticize their offerings as I personally see it.

Don't you all play games for fun and not brand loyalty? Today was a good day if you do.

But credit where credit is due. It took them a while to admit to it, but Sony has done the right thing.

Edit: I didn't expect "cross gen bad" to stay a thing now. Should've known better.

We saw a few exclusives(that won't be at launch) and a shit ton of multi-plat games. Most of those multi-platform games will look/run better on SX hardware. Msft isn't screwed in the slightest. You fanboys need to come down a peg or two.

Cross gen game, but at least it's coming on time, and it doesn't look anywhere near rubbish like Halo.

The big story is 2021 - Horizon, Ratchet and God of War. Incredible. Those are the real next-gen games.

Who cares? The footage looks better than anything MS have shown, and it was captured on a PS5. It certainly isnt a Craig situation. Spidey is Sonys biggest selling IP, why leave that money on the table?

If that's the big story, it doesn't do much for people getting excited about a new console release.

Game still looks good, it's just not a system seller for me by any means. But I'll definitely pick it up sometime in the future after I get a PS5 and its dropped in price.

You would have to re-read what my point was before you say that I am disagreeing with a statement of fact. The game will also launch on PS4, the game will not be able to be designed only around the power of PS5 and when you see a fully PS5 only Spider-man game you will notice the difference.

With that said the game does not look bad and you have yet to see how it looks on PS4 before you say it looks like a PS4 game and it has no enhancement to loading and/or graphics, but you do you ;).

It is funny how rabidly some people are going after these isolated bits in the middle of a quite kickass reveal, salty eh ;)?

Now show me the PS4 version, please. It looks similar overall but higher polygon count, raytracing, 4K, better field of view, and more effects. It's not on Craig's level.

Concept of a launch window for a console launching mid November and 1.5 months later 2021 starting ;).

I guess if people workshop it well and dig deep enough they can stretch it into a disaster of an announcement. Curious to see it in action :).
