Why would games from the Xbox One X run on the XSS? What people don't seem to understand is that the XSS is a 1080p-1440p machine. The amount of RAM is suited for 1080p-1440p gaming. The GPU is suited for 1080p-1440p gaming. The SSD and CPU are suited to do the same thing as PS5/XSX. There is literally NO REASON for the XSS to support 4K textures of the Xbox One X games, they are too large, and the device was not built for that. If you want that, buy the XSX.
You do understand that "it fails to run last gen software at 4k" and "it will not hold the other consoles back" is the definition of cognitive dissonance, right?

Man, this movie messed me up when I was a kid. My older brother made me watch it when I was like six or so. Damn. I haven't been able to play horror/survival games much if at all since. I made it through Resident Evil 4.. then.. I dunno.. my brain just nopes out.

I saw this when I were 5, with my 4 years old sister.

She claims it were wrong to watch horror as so young but I didnt get traumatized, infact almost no game or movie scares me at all.

We watched basically all 50-80s horrors as kids.

Only thing that fucked me up a bit were some old dracula radio story that i heard at middle the night when others were sleeping, as 3-4 year old. Still feel unconfortable if my neck is exposed in bed lols

Why? On a technical level, please explain what's the exact issue here.

👀👀😂

Yeah, but the XSS is targeting 1080p, not 4K. From 4K to 1080p, is 4x less pixels, while the GPU is only 3x less powerful. Even getting to 1440p is almost possible since it can basically go to 2160x1215.

Mostly looking forward to something new of ND, although we might have to wait for that.

Its not a linear relationship between power and output resolution.

So, any next gen vampire stuff should do the trick!

There is no xbox one series x only xbox series X and xbox series s
And why should there be a long description for the xbox but Just PS5 1 & 2 ... doesn't make sense at all.

Great clip from PlayStation.
Btw PS Now rolled into Plus would be insane.

Yeah, I subscribe to PS Now but not +. Last night I had a look through an old PSN ID which did have PS+ and there are some fantastic games on there. I never subbed at all on my PS4 but looking at the list of titles they have given away, I would love it if they amalgamated like Game Pass Ultimate is.

This is a good fake...

Or is it 😜

I love watching all these fan made UI videos. UI design is one thing I really enjoy especially from Apple, who were once the masters but now they ruin it a little bit each year.

Interestingly, this is the first one I've spotted (I think) that has the PS5 logo with the TM symbol by it which lends it a bit more credibility.

And then I see PlayStation Home where that credibility is squashed in one swift stroke.

I doubt they would retrospectively add many those missed games to the catalogue though. Either way I think merging them would be a good idea, the money they put into securing PS+ haha could go into getting them into the single catalogue. I expect publishers are feeding back to Sony that as a game leaves gamepass they are also seeing decent numbers of people buying with the discount, so that might influence their thinking.

Um, not quite for me. The PS5 games would need to be on there day 1 really to match Xbox.
Never would, but that's why you have a monumental quality disparity between both 1st party offerings. Having said that, ps now has a few major blockbuster / recent titles for a limited period and keeps rotating them around. GoW, Horizon, Spider Man, Uncharted 4, etc have all been there by now.

It all boils down to RAM and how it's not just used to increase resolution.
You won't have enough to show the same textures, the same particles, the same objects rendered at the same LOD.
Remember the Nintendo Switch? It will be something like that if we are lucky.
If not (WiiU case), it will be a shitshow of rushed ports or even worse, devs dropping the Xbox version altogether to not deal with the hassle.

MS had a competitive running horse and somehow attached a bandwagon to it with the "gamepass" logo in it.
It will hurt them hard in the long run.

They don't have to show the same textures... That's the whole idea about Smart Delivery, you get the textures that you need. So the XSS won't receive the same textures as the XSX, it will have lower quality textures, since they don't need to be rendered at 4K. 1440p is enough. So it takes in less "room" on the RAM.

One good thing about Sony is that it has "departments" dedicated to coming up with new techniques and technologies and then sharing them with the different internal studios. In addition to creating the tools to facilitate future work.

This means that all internal studies have a quality base plus without investing time in own research.

And if the studies themselves discover new techniques, they are also shared.

That makes your job much easier and maintain the overall quality of your titles. It works like a hive instead of competing with each other.

Do they also share production assets? Wouldn't you say that the underwater corals in HFW look eeriely the same in Uncharted 4?

Will I see a Gran Turismo modelled car in London in a new Getaway game?

Do they keep shared database for these assets though?
