Hmm well if you have the base game and all dlc playstation often classifies you as having the deluxe edition, when you try to buy it in the store. I'd say theres still hope. It's a super shitty situation though considering the performance issues on the base game.

What a company 505 is. I guess I'm glad I waited for the steam version. This a big fuck you to people who bought it on consoles. I also heard that a bunch of people had problems running Death Stranding as well despite having capable hardware. Seems like 505 games is one of those publishers where you should either wait a little bit when they release a game.

I think that the idea of free console upgrades is a great consumer friendly position and advocate for it. With that said, when has this ever been the practice for consoles prior to this upcoming gen? I’m sure that they’ve done the financial analysis and see that the potential loss in revenue for pissing people off with this decision is less than the revenue from people double dipping. Look at Nintendo and their Wii U ports at full price on the Switch.

This gen is totally different tho, consoles behaves and are expect to behave far more like a PCs. Both Sony and MS is on board with this, BC, Digital Sales, enhance patches, etc. And biggest games are using corss-buy like Cyberpunk and Vallhala (biggest in a sense how much money you pour into that bad boy)...
