Even better, what game from Sony broke let's say a quarter of the best selling game ever so 50,000,000 copies and multiplats are without saying allowed?
Multiplats dont mean shit name an actual MS exclusive that broke 10 million this gen, ill wait. No duh multiplats will sell more in general.

That's the definition of 'moving goalposts' isn't it?

You answer me first and I will answer your previous question.
Talk about goal post moving when i told you to name me a MS exlusive game that broke 10 million, and homie brings up minecraft lol carry on

As you can't answer a simple question I will anwer it for you. Sony did never sell a game that sold even a quarter of what Minecraft sold.

Kinect Adventures sold 24,000,000
Halo 3 sold 14,500,000
Minecraft Xbox360 Edition sold 13,000,000
Halo Reach and Halo 4 were in the 9,000,000 – 10,000,000 zone.

Looks like a lot of "Xbox" games are selling really well on steam right now.

But what do have sales have to do with the value of gamepass?

I didn't answer you because there was no point, after you understood (I hope) that not every game released on playstation is a multi-million seller, let alone a 10 million seller.
xbone had sales close to 10 mil, like pubg and gta (both went to game pass)
and in fact if one sees the games that sold above 5 million units, xbox has more.
and this is very impressive given the less than half user base.

also, recently the playstation software earnings were disclosed, and the largest portion of earnings for sony comes from extra stuff, not game sales, but from stuff like dlc and coins etc.
you may want to think about that for a minute while you incense sony's model, and ponder at how this potentially could play out.

ps. halo 4 sold at least 9.4mill

thats makes no sense at all, gamepass embassators repeat this mantra on every thread and thats not true, gamepass makes people spend much less on games outside the service, its not only money, its time and people have certain expectations,im tired of people telling other "im waiting for this game to be on gamepass "

Not to be argumentative, everybody is entitled to their opinion, but if you think GP is crippling gaming at $10/mo, what do you think of Epic game store? Or those big holiday Steam sales? I can totally hear people saying "I'm just waiting for Epic to give it away" or "I'm waiting for the next 95% off sale on Steam". When you think about it, look at what GwG is doing, and the PS+ games. This is a nightmare, the end is near.

the thing its, epic is doing a lot of money right now with fornite, and i think the same about these "free games" but having sales,or some free games with a service its not the same as basing all your serice on that,im a dev,i have worked with EA,ubi,,rebellion, etc and i assure you a lot of industry people think the same,a future with a system like gamepass in a long rung will make a lot of damage on this industry, same happened with the mobile phone market

Gamepass is a great choice to have. I 100% support it being an option and have been able to try some truly great games I was on the fence about.

If publishers feel that way, it's a self healing "problem". No games of note will ever be on there, old or new, "problem" solved. Outside of MS first-party that is.

You know what else holds the service back is that 3rd party games aren't just secured forever. They have windows of time that they're on the service (like Netflix deals).

So if you just got into Devil May Cry 5 a few days before they took it off the service, being halfway through means your only option is now to buy it.

Unsurprisingly, back to moving goalposts again. I answered your original question – which MS game broke 10,000,000? – a couple of times yet you started moving goalposts once you got an answer. Minecraft is a MS owned game and sold over 200,000,000 probably more then the 20 best selling PS exclusives combined, First it was multiplats hur-dur...when your original question never mentions multiplats are not allowed. Then I give you a list of three Microsoft games that also sold over 10,000,000 copies but you again moved goalposts; 'hur-dur they're too old' whem your original question never mentioned the games couldn't be old. Halo 4 sold over 9,400,000 copies, but that's also what I claimed between 9-10 million copies... Halo Reach did over 9,800,000 copies.

You are fully aware that Microsoft since the Xbox One doesn't provide sales figures anymore and most of those games are available on PC now. So you want me to pull recent numbers out of thin air? Yet when I ask you which PS game old or new, multiplat or not broke let's say 30,000,000 you won't provide me with an answer. Why is that?

You're blatantly trolling by this point and move goalpost every time you don't like the answers!

The world as an I is what have you done for me lately, i dont care what they did last gen because i no longer games on a 360. Game wise this generation was a complete wash and the golden age of Xbox is done. They had no top sellers this gen hell none of their franchises especially ones that are supposed to be critical acclaim hit the mark. And next gen isn't looking to stay too hot either. Problem is ms forgot who they are and who they should cater to. This is why their games don't sell, they don't share numbers and are doing more service based.

Games leaving the service are declared a good amount of time before it happens.
The is always plenty of time to play it, and of course if you like it that much you can buy it on gamepass discount before it leaves.

or, you can always go heartbroken

Man, have you all seen the games on Game Pass? Just last night I was playing Carrion... It's freaking fantastic! The wife and I have been co-op playing WAY more ever since getting the service. Playing the different Lego games, Gears, Halo, and Minecraft dungeons. A friend and I were playing Mortal Kombat X the other day. Another friend and I have been having a blast in Forza Horizon. My niece really likes playing Minecraft on there and I just introduced my nephew to Banjo-Kazooie.

Some other highlights are Red Dead 2, Oxenfree, and Inside. A few of us have taken up Fuzion Frenzy and Rocket league. I didn't think I would like Quantum Break but it's actually really good. I liked experiencing a game that was clearly trying some new ideas.

There were a few I didn't like as well. But I am glad I was able to try them. Like No Man's Sky and Fallout 76. They just aren't my thing.

That's just scratching the surface. I play far more games now than ever before. My PS4 doesn't get much play time anymore. I am hopeful that GoT will get a PS5 upgrade because I do want to play it but with the PS5 so close I would rather wait and play it on that.

I am about to take a trip to Colorado. I am going to see just how well xCloud does while I am there. I probably won't have much time to play. But having the option in the evenings will be nice. I even bought a little adapter thing to connect my Phone to my controller.

I guess that's my long way of saying that, Yes, OP, I don't get that Game Pass isn't for everyone.

But you are exactly what he is describing. You listed older AAA, older and more current indies and Coop games. Thats exactly what game pass is for.
For AAA and high budget indy its just another phase in their shelf life. From full price (sometimes maybe Sony timed exclusive), to sales and then gamepass.
Multiplayer coop is the ideal scenario for gamepass since not everyone of you friends needs to buy the game if everyone has gamepass. So its really good for a group of friends who like to play a lot of different coop games.

But gamepass is not worth it for people who want to play AAA games at launch, play the big multiplayer shooter and sports games or e sport games (at launch) and in general dont want to wait for games to come to gamepass. Also people who play on multiple systems and have a fixed gaming budget, which is most non rich people (even if the value is good, 120 bucks a year is a 120 bucks of your fixed budget that does not account for Nintendo, Sony and other non gamepass games. Its safe to say the average gamer spends about 200-300 bucks a year on games)
So yeah, there are people who clearly would not profit from it and thats fine, it doesnt have to be for everyone, it only has to offer enough stuff to enough people so that makes the business model works.

Value is not objective, its only perceived and if you dont like MS' games, multiplayer coop games or older games than GP is not for you. For everyone else it might be great value.

Nobody is trying to champion that Game Pass replaces the day 1 AAA release and saying it's not for people with that style of consumption is false.

Games don't last forever and the AAA market usually has large windows of nothing, especially during the summer, and there are many times that the AAA windows are packed with too many games. Game Pass has proven to be a great way to bolster ones library for very little in between major releases that interest them as well as a way for some games they didn't have the time for to be included in their library for a low fee.
