Even ERA thought he was too douchey. That says a lot.

You know he's watching us now.

I can see why he'd get wound up though...
It's times like these you gotta lawyer up, delete Facebook and hit the gym.

Oh wait, that's divorce.

What is it that's so hard to ignore obvious trolls? Y'all got the other thread temp closed by playing right into their game like sheep. They got the W, not you. Stop bringing that shit here and invite the suspects. Cause we know y'all can't help but quote and go on an ego trip to "prove them wrong"... all it takes is careful bait crafting - and they know how to bait very well. Jesus!

I've been thinking/speculating a lot recently about an ML or AI upsampling feature on the PS5 similar to what we see on DLSS with Nvdia or the checkerboard rendering with the PS4 Pro.

It's crazy how this technology has advanced, especially with DLSS 2.0, elements of it even look better than native 4K. We see what Cerny did with the PS4 Pro and it makes me think we may see a more robust version on the PS5, I think this would be great because it will allow for devs to push more visuals and other features and the console will be able to push significantly more frames, a consistent 4K 60FPS across major first party titles would be insane! again this is just speculation but patents seem to have hinted at this, I hope we learn more soony!

If only there was a forum where people don't question anything or doubt anything and never use those hurtful things like truth and facts... Hey I've got someone I'd like to introduce to you. I think you'd get on!"

This Timdog guy, I know he is a diehard Xbox guy, but does he play all games? Does he own a Playstation or a Switch, or is it give me Xbox or give me death?

C'mon Sony, just let me get that preorder in. How much longer do we have to wait to know price, release date, and when preorders go up?

If HeisenbergFX4 HeisenbergFX4 and the birdies are to be believed, it won't be until near the end of the month at the second event. I think this one is just more games.

They could throw a curveball and go this week, but I don't think so.

Regardless, I think whatever it ends up being, you'll have a *very* short window wherever you go, considering people lined up/were calling when the last rumor said they would unlock. They'll be gone within a couple of hours everywhere.

I know that everyone that pixel counted the PS5 games shown at the conference said they were all native 4k, but this screen is showing some artifacts when zoomed in. I wouldnt be surprised if we are seeing some kind of DLSS/checkerboarding that is so good that even pixel counters cant tell the difference.

This will also all but negate Microsoft's tflops advantage because if both versions are native 4k and even DF cant tell the difference then whats the difference?

The most interesting part about next gen Face/offs is going to be the new features PS5 might have. 3D audio will make a huge difference, as will faster loading, new UI features and the new fancy controller features. Dictator was talking about how they would have to reevaluate how they do face/offs, and I think John will definitely take these features into account when recommending games.

I am fine with this console being $499. The new features sound extremely exciting and they make the PS5 a true next gen leap over the XSX which is using the same controller, and same UI. If they can incorporate this haptic feedback and 3d audio into cod games and other shooters, I am pretty sure most casual warzone players will pick the PS5 over the XSX even if it comes in a few pixels under the XSX version.

And that's if it's $499, I think pound for pound, PS5 simply has more next gen features than the xsx. If it's $399, it will be game over the moment people get their hands on that controller and try out the 3d audio.

Not dolphin level. But Cup head dev was saying it would never come to playstation. And now here we are.Now you want support from PS base.Im going to pass. I don't understand why devs do this. No reason to get involved in console war shit. If you put your flag down for whatever side ,stay there. Should of just said it was timed exclusive. TO ME the dev just looks goofy. I don't like people ,who don't stand on anything.
We don't know the extent of their marketing deal with MS, chances are they couldn't talk about a PS version till recently. We've just seen something like this with Farcry 6 marketing, that '4K UHD' ad lacking any mention to PS5 till Ubisoft disclosed the info later.

There's currently nothing to suggest Sony or Microsoft have anything like DLSS. This is mostly because AMD has nothing like DLSS. The real question is, has Sony improved on their checkerboard rendering technique to the point where it's almost indistinguishable from DLSS. We'll see if they're willing to talk about it. I would hope so since it was so important on PS4 Pro. I would love to have the option on every PS5 game to play in a performance mode.

Wouldn't Sony need to have CB hardware to ensure BC with some Pro titles?

I think this is due to AMD not having anything like tensor cores. So basically they would have to use a software based solution if they want to achieve anything like DLSS.

I know the PS4 Pro has dedicated hardware for checkerboard rendering. Maybe the PS5 has something like that?

What could Sony first party studios be developing right now?

Bend Studio: their last game was released last year (Days Gone) and it sold very well, so they are probably working on a sequel . As much as I want a new Syphon Filter I don't think that's a possibility.

Guerrilla Games: Working on Horizon II: Forbidden West, but they hired some Rainbow Six Siege developers last year, including someone who worked on Killzone 2 so that leads me to believe they might have a second team working on a shooter game, I'd say it could probably be a tactical shooter like R6S.

Naughty Dog: They just released The Last of Us Part 2, they probably have a second team that was already working on another game. What could that game be? there are rumors that it could be a sci fi game. I doubt they are working on a sequel to Uncharted or TLOU so we might get a new IP from them.

Japan Studio: They are working alongside Bluepoint in Demon's Souls Remake, but the latest rumors suggest they're working on the new Silent Hill and if Moore's Law Is Dead's info is accurate and Mark Cerny is indeed working on a Sony game, I'd say Japan Studio is involved.

Sucker Punch: They just released Ghost of Tsushima and it seems it was a success, and I don't think they have a second team so whatever they're working on must be in early developement (New IP? GoT sequel?).

Pixelopus: They work on smaller scale games, their last project was Concrete Genie so I expext them to be working on something of the same scale, maybe a VR game.

Polyphony: They're working on Gran Turismo 7, and that's it, I doubt they have a secret project in the works.

Santa Monica: Everyone expect them to be working on a sequel to God of War, and that's almost a given. But I believe they have a second team working on another project (a sci fi game if the rumors are to be believed), and again, if Moore's Law Is Dead's info is accurate Cory Barlog could be directing this project and supervising GoW.

Media Molecule: They're busy with Dreams, and if they work on something else it would probably a new IP.

London Studio: They must be working on a VR game, maybe a Blood and Truth sequel or a brand new IP.

Insomniac Games: Their current projects are Spider-Man Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, but I believe they could have another team working slowly on another project (probably Spider-Man 2 built to take full advantage of the PS5).

San Diego Studios: They must be working on the new MLB: The Show that is supposed to be multiplatform.

New studio working on a secret project: They are supposedly working on a "AAA third person action adventure game", that has led everyone to believe that it could be a new Uncharted game.

And this are just the first party studios, we know they have second party studios working with them, like Housemarque, Sumo Digital, Lucid Games and Bluepoint Games (which some say are working on another remake). Plus, It's pretty safe to say whatever Kojima Productions is working on it will be with Sony. Also, this might mean nothing but Shuhei Yoshida visited Remedy last year so... who knows, they might have something in the works.

All this makes me realize how much effort Sony has put on consistently delivering lots of games for their platform. Looks like games won't be an issue this gen.

Annnnnd someone stole my credit info and spent hundreds on onlyfans. Happy birthday me?
Ugh, at least tell me it was spent on a model and not a 'domme' ...

My sympathies.

After years of research...

That's me, but with shit all over himself.

You got it all messed up, girl. When Sony said 'You need to have a thick one in order to game on the PS5', they meant our wallets, not our cocks ... I mean, I get it, you only think about cocks, but ...

IMO a good move for Naughty Dog would be to finally get back around to Jak & Daxter and give it solid stab in the style it's supposed to be instead of trying to make some hyper-real version of what it was (like they tried to do previously). Whether that's a reboot or a Jak 4 I dont even care at this point just give me a new one. The change of tone would also be good, them coming from something so controversial and dark (TLOU2)

Santa Monica has clearly been working on God of War 2: Ragnarok for a number of years now - what in the possible fuck else could they be doing. If the announcement doesnt come soon, when it does people will shit bricks.

Besides Guerilla, Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Japan Studio, that unnaounced new studio/game, and Santa Monica, the rest of these devs and their games are meh interesting.

IIRC, one of the guys behind this second game said they are years off showing the game.

The most we’ll see from ND through 2020 and 2021 probably is TLOU: Factions.
New studio working on a secret project: They are supposedly working on a "AAA third person action adventure game", that has led everyone to believe that it could be a new Uncharted game.
This one I bet we’ll see, I doubt it’s Uncharted though.

Just an addendum, you forgot Arrowhead. They have worked with Sony in the past and some years ago they went AAA. Nobody knows which game is it, but I believe they are in the same place as Housemarque. They come for a genre that now it’s niche/not so popular.

Did you just say it would be a good move... I repeat, a good move, for ND to go back to Jack & Daxter?

These guys make games of the generation every time they want (LoU and LoU2) and you want them back making cartoony kiddy games? They are the best studio in the world making 3rd person, story focus adult themed games. How about they keep doing what they do best, maybe this time in a new IP, and let someone else work on cartoon games?

Moore's Law Is Dead is an idiot and doesn't know a shit about Japan Studio. They have three unannounced projects in the works headed by different creative directors: a new IP (Tsutomu Kouno), a Silent Hill soft-reboot (Keiichiro Toyama) and most probably an Ape Escape game (Iljima).

I’d just add that ND still have TLOU 2 factions to deliver. That could be a PS5 killer app as it happens but it’s awfully quiet right now.

And hopefully SP are working on some GOT DLC and other post game goodies before they move on...

I have a strong feeling that Sony will bundle Spider-Man Miles Morales with Ps5 for pre-order bonus. Xbox boys will loses their mind.
They're already damage-controlled it by calling it a 5-6 hour DLC game which PS5 owners will pay 60 bucks for, while the X fans will game 100 titles for 1 buck. Doesn't matter what exclusive Sony will bring - their first and last line of defense is now 'I game 100 titles for 1 buck'.

Spider-Man is a open world game, whoever says it’s a 5-6 hour game is kidding themselves. lol

Do people really think Insomniac updated NYC just for people to spend 5-6 hours?

I never really visited this topic, because I'm only planning on buying the PS5 in 3 years, but wanted to check there was new information about the next state of play. You guys talk more about Xbox than the OT topic? "pie_tears_joy:
But on topic, the general consensus seems to be that tomorrow we get the info about state of play show being next week.

Maybe a few pending discussions from the previous thread being locked temporarily.

Did you come and join the hype train?

I think it was confirmed that it's around 20 hours and $40. Sounds fine to me. I prefer some quality over semi-free shovelware. My time is worth more than that.
