I'm curious to know about the feedback on this, it really didn't look that exciting to me. I had a buddy that did work directly with Hi-Rez with Realm Royale and Smite. He was like, "Man, the new game they're working on, is not that great at all...." But this was awhile ago.

So is this 60 FPS on the Switch or are they gimping the other releases so that it has parity across platforms?

I'll play a bit of it when it goes F2P, hopefully it's more F2P not P2W.

The switch is really content starved for this type of game, this might even make me buy another year of that useless Nintendo Online, that I never really used last time I bought it.

Gameplay on Switch looks smooth.

I wouldn't want to go up against a mouse user in a 3rd person game with this CROSS PLATFORM thing.

Gameplay shown thus far is on PC, I'm wondering how it looks on Switch.

Well, I've played this game for a week, and I approve. Good for the $15 or good or for the eventual free.

It feels like a fast and accurate Gears of War without all the gunk that makes Gears unplayable to everyone who hasn't been on board since the beginning. I used to do a lot of Rainbow Six 3 and black arrow, and this is about as close as I want to get in my old age.

What system have you been playing on? I have been playing on switch and thumb sticks feel a little stiff to me.. More so than other third person shooters.. Maybe I need to finally get used to gyro.

Got a beta code last night and played the tutorial and one game of Strikeout. Did pretty well for my first go, so that was cool. I think it's a pretty fun game, honestly better than I thought it would be. There's more potential there than I thought.

That being said, after that one game I didn't feel that "hook" to continue, so I just uninstalled. Maybe I'll come back to it later?

If you're into third person competitive shooters, definitely give it a go whether it be now or when it fully launches and is F2P.

Xbox One for me. It did feel a bit like my hands were tied in the beginning, but I dont think I would pull off shots at the distance this game needs if the cursor or my character moved faster. I feel like all you get to aim at is a shoe or elbow sometimes.

Also Tribes was indeed radical. A competitive Third Person Shooter seems rare enough to support when they come around.

I would try this but I don't wanna pay for the beta when the game will most likely be F2P, i'd rather wait

EverydayBeast

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
For a while cross play sounded like a dream and now it's possible, Dice with Battlefield, Call of Duty etc. has to do it as developers, publishers get more comfortable with it.

Hi guys, I just got a PC key except I only have PS4.

Would anyone like to trade my PC key for your PS4 key? Really want to try this game.

Thanks!

It looked kinda fun from watching a little bit on Twitch, but I don't quite understand why anyone would hand them $15-60 today knowing it'll be free soon. Why give them money up front only to potentially find out you don't like it?

You do get two characters for free that way. The f2p version is going to have six characters to start. For $15, you get to play a bit early, and you get eight characters to start. Or you can just wait until the game releases, and then level up to unlock them in-game. Personally, I intend to wait as well.

I'm on PC myself but got two codes from from Hi-Rez (probably via Twitch) for the Switch version. Check the giveaways tab!

Bought the Xbox standard pack last night and played about 5 games with a full team of 4 buddies. My aim sucks in this game so far but it's quite well made in terms of map/sightlines, balance and sandbox. I'm still tuning with my button bindings and not peeking enough. There's plenty of teamwork required and I prefer the objective modes but it does feel a little "slayer-fest" in objective mode anyhow. I'll admit I was backpacked last night but that's not unusual as my FPS buds are better than this old man I am these days in FPS. It feels like a cross between Gears + Valorant, it's not as crisp as say Apex but enjoyable and room to improve with the characters and abilities if you want to invest time into the game. Overall it's not my personal must play game but I'm more than happy to continue playing it with friends as they like it so far.

Well this should be a good promotion for the game. This video has been available for six hours, and it's nearly at two million views.

I played on Switch, it's a very solid game and technically incredible. What I like the most are the amount of settings for the gyroscope, you can reach a very high precision in a short time, every game should copy from Rogue Company.

Yeah, the short gyro flick work wonders in this game.
