Far Cry 6: World Premiere and Cinematic Title Sequence Trailer | Meet Antón Castillo - Giancarlo Esposito Interview

The atmosphere is always really cool in Far Cry. Giancarlo Esposito is genius casting for the new "bad guy"

I have to say though, when the trailer started playing I thought it was something completely new & I was intrigued. Was a little bit disappointed when Far Cry 6 came up on screen.

someone quick, how good is Far Cry3. Troy apparently killed it as the bad guy, but how's the gunplay gameplay? Is it sluggish or is it fun on the PS4?

a lot of people enjoyed 2 more than 3, it was the last one with a "soul" for lack of a better word.
the game was nothing special tho.

It was pretty special at the time and still hasn’t really been matched imo. Though I haven’t played Crysis - I hear that it’s similar.

So, we're not playing as the boy or the villian? We play as some sort of resistance fighter? Man, that's disappointing... I thought the concept of playing as someone who has to crush the resistance, coupled with being the first Far Cry set within a city (and its surroundings) made me a bit interested.

'Soul' is pretty vague. I'd say 3 had tonnes of soul.
Different point of views, i prefer fc3 but i understand who talk about lack of soul for this franchise.

2 had a more strong identity and it taked some risks.

Fc3 was the start ot the standardization (and i'm not even sure this word really exist :ROFLMAO: )

It has some remarkable physics features like fire propagation etc., but the structure was kinda broken with all the enemy checkpoints respawning after a couple of minutes and some other stuff.

There were small changes to FC5’s gameplay conceits that I really enjoyed;

no towers to unlock map; and instead exploration yielded discovery of those things.

I also highly enjoyed the treasure hunts/perk system.

FC6 has apparently been in development since before FC5, so it’ll be interesting to see how much they tinker with the formula

I mean, the setting is okay I guess. Just seems the “latin” culture (yes I know it’s Cuba) has been done..., even by Ubisoft.

A far cry In Eastern Europe..... more that would be interesting and a totally different vibe than the rest of them

Yeah the setting is the most boring shit ever.

Ubisoft threads are interesting. You can easily spot the people who are open and interested, as opposed to those who just want to have a bash at Ubisoft.

Like, for example, feigning anger that the reveal trailer contains no gameplay footage. LOL. It’s a Far Cry game. It’s going to play more or less like the other Far Cry games.

When you ask a question like that are you really wondering what the game will play like - or are you just pissed that Ubisoft, in not showing gameplay footage, denied you the opportunity to say something akin to: “Ugh, more fucking repetitive Ubisoft bullshit... this is just a fucking re-skin... not buying this shit... btw, did I remind you, for the one hundredth time, how great The Witcher 3 is and how it’s ruined gaming for me because no game can match that masterpiece. Fuck those Ubisoft cunts. I’m going to pirate this game and spend a hundred hours playing it so I can come back here and tell everyone what a piece of shit it is! Peace out, bros!”

I really enjoyed FC5 but if they force the rpg levels into this game like they did w/ New Dawn I'll be skipping it. And I'm assuming they probably will since ubisoft hates to have too much variation in their main titles.

Meh, unless the gunplay is exceptionally good (which hasnt changed from 3) or AI is actually good, its a pass from me. Back in the day, Ubi actually showed off Gameplay footage early, this to me was a sign they were confident in the game.

This is basically Far Cry 3.75. More than happy to be proven wrong.

Really thought Giancarlo would have been in a Batman game instead to be honest lol. Hoping it's more of a return to the story of 4 than continuing like 5

I hated 5 with its incredibly repetitive mission design and the bland open world. I hope they can turn things arround with 6. Not gonna lie the screenshots look great.

They're the same type of bullshots ubi uses for every game

I liked 4 and 5 (and 5's spin off New Dawn) a lot. They are on sale pretty often on PSN, I think FC4 is like $6 right now.

Looks like an open world TLOU 2, which is incredible in and of itself considering that it's a linear title.

It's expected.

The easiest way to handle the disparities is by making the same game but adjusting the resolution. We saw it this gen with xbox one and ps4, we'll see next gen with xbsx and ps5.
Nah bro, it's 4K on the X1X as well. This doesn't make sense.
