Comparing TLOU1 to 2 the sequel has a massive advantage early on in terms of revenue. I'm not sure what the first sold at launch but the sequel has sold millions more at full price and millions more digitally. I'd imagine the collectors and deluxe editions sold far more too.
Obviously the budget will be bigger but even if the sequel sells less in the end the profit made should be far higher. Hopefully the multiplayer is good.
Minecraft is the best game this gen?The best game this gen gets the best sales this gen..............
LOL Sony still got your money, fucking idiots
Special edition is everywhere probaby because COVID19 is accelerating digital adoption at incredibly fast rate. But weirdly enough, I can still get the Special Edition everywhere which is usually not the case for a game like this. FF7R's Special Edition for example is still hard to come by unless you want to pay scalper prices.
Anyway, it was to be expected that it'll sell well. The question is if it can sell as many copies as TLOU and/or if this game will end up hurting ND in the long run with their next game because people might not like what they bought into. Like the same thing that happened with Star Wars. Force Awakens $2b, The Last Jedi $1.4b, Return of Skywalker $1b with the train wreck that is Solo that came out after TLJ and only made $400m.

OK sorry my badNot going to fly here.
Mod of War
As a reminder to everyone this isn't a spoiler thread so there shouldn't be any here.
OK sorry my bad
okDelete it.
ok but how long does a game have to be out before you can post about it story real questionFor future reference if you post spoilers outside of the spoiler thread you will get banned here.
4 million copies ain't that good when you consider the game's budget. Especially since I doubt this game is going to sustain sales past the first week.

Fallout 4 sold 14 million. Who gives a toss.
Your macho ma'am tranny savage game is still shit.

And I can see the original selling a few more million to also pass the 20M mark. Not to mention the eventual PS5 version. TLOU/TLOu Remaster are at 18m+ copies. Considering TLOU2 launched with an install base of 110m+ consoles vs 87m on PS3 for the first game, I can see TLOU2 selling over 20m including the PS5 version.
Someone's microdick is crying.
Hmm, expected, now give us statistic, how many copies were destroyed...
It's possible, but console wars in here....MEHProbably 21, the same amount of people playing Bleeding Edge.

Don't be so hard on yourself, bro.Someone's microdick is crying.
Not sure what you trying to say honestly : D
I'm just here to watch you pussies whine and try to justify the game sucking by making up fake scenarios about how its not actually good they sold 4 million copies in 3 days lul
How many of those 4 million people ended up not liking it and either trading it to gamestop (gross), selling it on ebay, or just plain trashing it?
Sales alone should never be a measure of somethings success. Michael Bay movies sell a lot also, but there is no accounting for taste.
Sony still has their money.
ill take one! Can you post a link to your listing?I actually have 2 ellie edition for sell on eBay nobody wants them. Good thing i still got my best buy receipt good thing i will just return them, thanks naughty dawg
So are you saying that to Sony, only the money matters? I mean, as much as I don't like TLOU2, I'm pretty sure Neil and everyone on the dev team worked their asses off on the game, and care more than just the amount of money they bring in for it.
For whatever it's worth, though it seems people would rather name call "haters" who don't like TLOU2, The last of us part one is still one of my fave games, and my reaction to TLOU2 won't change that.
There's a difference between not liking a game after playing it. And it's another thing to constantly trash the game because it's an exclusive. I've seen both happen here.
Here come more excuses to the book. How many of those 4 million people ended up not liking it and either trading it to gamestop (gross), selling it on ebay, or just plain trashing it?

BUT WE DONT KNOW HOW MANY WERE TRADED BACK IN!!!!I'm having trouble comprehending people trying to minimize the fact that this is the biggest exclusive launch on the PS4
Even if every single copy was traded back in they don't lose any money. the only way you could theoretically say they lose money is from people buying the used copy instead of a new copyBUT WE DONT KNOW HOW MANY WERE TRADED BACK IN!!!!
Keep shifting those goalpostsBut weirdly enough, I can still get the Special Edition everywhere which is usually not the case for a game like this. FF7R's Special Edition for example is still hard to come by unless you want to pay scalper prices.
