All The Last of Us 2 leaks/spoilers in here and nowhere else.

Ok so I think I found the perfect comparison to this game.

Imagine watching John Wick, he goes on a massive killing spree to get revenge on the one guy that killed the dog that was gifted to him by his dead wife. Then at the end, SECONDS before John Wick pulls the trigger he stops and lets the bad guy go because he has a one second flash back of a positive memory of his dog. Then, after sparing the guy's life he goes back to his big empty home and pours a glass of whiskey and sits in his house alone and depressed. THE END.

I. Shit. You. Not......

Lol, what the fuck.

LOL.

I've seen enough streams over the last few days to conclude the game goes like this:

- Good graphics and sound

Actual gaming is broken up into something like this:

- 2 minutes of action scenes (thugs, zombies, chase scenes)
- 5 minutes of slow wandering around with no threats or enemies (searching homes, riding a horse, trying to get from point A to B by finding the right path)
- 5 minutes of cut scenes

Repeat this loop from beginning to end.

I hope this whole debacle is a lesson. Make games fun again.
I genuinely think you can make games that are "miserable" but they need to understand the medium and the fact that it's still a game. They also need to be well written which is clearly not the case with TLOU2. Ironically the first thing that comes to mind when I though of a "Miserable" game is something like Pathologic. A game that has been chastised by the critics for the way it presents it's gameplay and story(Which is by the way 3000 times better than TLOU2) . The second game has a 69 Critic Review score while the user score is 8.6 and 9/10 on steam.
So why does TLoU2 get a pass from journalists?

Exactly. There are many games with dark, brutal and hopeless settings that are far more successful at presenting a convincing narrative than TLOU2.

I really can't believe how poor the dialogue is. It's so fucking awful lol.

Pretty much what happens with the original. The first had world building, strong story, and memoriable characters going for it. It was fresh so we tolerate with it. The sequel didn't have that advantage so all it had was minor gameplay improvements and better graphics. Worst of all it destroyed the characters that many come to love.

I was never a fan of TLOU , but when i read the leaks i felt sorry for the fans. I was just thinking how i would feel if SEGA did something similar to Kiryu and Haruka.

Watching a friend play through the first few hours, I thought exactly the same. The first game was like this from what I remember but more interesting enough tie the experience together. This one doesn't feel like it does anything new.

I can take this post as the proof of you finally admitting the game has woke propaganda on it?

I’m curious because I remember the 200 pages of me against so many of you claiming that there wasn’t any agenda at all.
Like over a hundred pages ago I made a pretty long post about this saying there was no denying the presence of an agenda. You can go look, it's kind of annoying to look through on my phone but when I get home I might look for it myself.

I've now seen some actual LGBT people mocking this game.

If Drunkmann wanted to impress the community.... well, he failed. Badly.

I was wondering when they would turn on him. The woke crowd always tends to eat their own eventually.

OH GOD NO

Obviously this gets my vote for winner.

You only need to know that he is a Jew. Then all the other things make sense.

THE GOYIM KNOW SHUT IT DOWN

Druckmann thinks he's kojima lol

Reading about this game makes me want to give Phantom Pain another chance and any of y’all familiar with my posts knows I fucking hate Phantom Pain.

Yup, Silent Hill 2 did it 20 years ago.

Also what the fuck is this I’m reading about Abby getting crucified? That’s pretty fucking heavy handed but I guess we established over a hundred pages ago that Druckmann is possibly an actual retard so.

Darkness no more
I knew Joel was going to die but I didn't read the details into how it happens. Damn, that was such a dumb scene. And then seeing Ellie's girlfriend of one day be willing to travel across the country and help her get revenge against a large group of armed people is even dumber. The only thing I've really liked so far is the crazy graphics and tech behind everything. It really is impressive how detailed they made everything.

So this is the doctor scene, about the cure. That sappy Zebra scene is little laughable and corny - but oh well.
Marlene at least objected it - and for that I respect that decision, and perhaps sympathize as the leader of a "group". (But more I think about, it was Hail Mary attempt on her account to hire Tess and Joel to deliver Ellie. Some leader, and friend of Ellie's mother, and literally closest person besides Joel to Ellie.)

At the same time, I am actually convinced that the doctor here is the absolute quack, who doesn't even understand what being a doctor under the Hyppocratic oath is nor has morality of one. Similar to organ donation situation - when the donor is alive and well. It's illegal and unethical, like those underground organ theft rings in China or whatnot. It is really disgusting to see, that the decision was more of less his insistence.

If Ellie was brain dead or can't live without being on a life support - it would haven't been any issue but we are talking about alive girl., a minor one in fact
He can't even answer to the question if it was Abby. If there's a selfish bastard in the game, that's that quack.

It is intertwined with the membrane? Why not get the sample from the cell and examine how it reacts to the virus first? Realistically, Ellie is much more valuable to the science "alive" than dead, figuring out how the virus works and what substance exactly stops it, etc... and I'm sure Joel and Ellie would have glad agree with it. But rushing in to kill her first and figure out what next? Oh yeah, the only person who actually was able to successfully host that "tumor", is now dead and gone? Maybe it's because it's something about Ellie's genes, not the virus itself is special?

And Abby saying - if it was me, do it on me. Riiiight. Big words from an angsty teen-ager. (Same goes to Ellie, that your life would have fucking MATTERED BS to Joel. Grow up.)

That's what bothers me. Sure, it's a post-apocalyptic situation of fantasy virus, and maybe they didn't have equipment or facility or whatnot - but the writers conveniently just overlooked, or ignored the very basic and logical science and medical ethics to begin with. Naughty Dog never really gave us that choice. It's like asking someone "Yes" or "No" question - which is almost always a convenient, divisive trap.

Sure that doctor didn't deserve to die, but Naughty Dog never gave the players the choice. (heck, you couldn't proceed unless you killed the doctor.) And killing off Joel for that reason in highly anticipated sequel in such a way - it's really does feel like betrayal, and retcon to certain degree.

You have to click on the twitch icon or the ghost, i don't know how to post twitch clips without this bug, if someone can explain i'll be grateful.
Just FYI that was not the end

Edit: my bad you didn't claim that it was

Angry Joe's reaction was fucking gold.
LOL. The owner of that cord will come after you in part 3.

Was LoU 1 this boring? I never saw gameplay of that except the gratuitous kill clips.

LoU 2 is boring as hell..... walking around and cut scenes. The gruesome kills you do every 20 minutes slashing thugs or blowing them away with a gun are great though.

Every level is like a black and white grid. 5% of grid squares are red. Enemy trigger. 95% of grid squares are green. Safe zone to walk and explore with 0% chance of threats.

i've paused the game. just finished Abbey's frist section, and transitioned back to Ellie and Dina as they head-out on a patrol with Jesse. I want to play it from a purely gameplay perspective. it's just...

i'm not indifferent/bored, and annoyed isn't the prevailing emotion either. playing the game is making me literally sad, both for what's to come for Joel/Ellie/Jessie, and even now the character actions and motivations for Joel, Ellie and Tommy are completely out of whack with TLOU1.

This feels like it's retroactively ruining the first game's story/my memories of it.

They're just gaslighting you.

Do you guys remember when Mass Effect 3 came out and people starting losing their minds and coming up with crazy theories like everything was a dream and Shepard was indoctrinated? I think the same thing is happening now.

I've already read a couple of insane theories, one is that Ellie is just dreaming everything when she's at the operating table at the end of the first game lol. I mean, whatever helps people cope with losing Joel. Isn't denial the first stage of grief.

I wonder which blue checkmark journalist is gonna be retarded enough to write an article relating the violence and death from the protest to Ellie's "J0urN3y 0f DEsStruCt1on" of killing thousands to get back at one bad she hulk.

You know it sounds retarded and therefore in this reality we live in will just come into existence. And if a journo writes this shit I'm posting this in your comments because I fucking called it.

Yea that was the most pathetic shit lol. I was still devastated by that terrible ending but the "dream" ending theory never mane sense anyway.

Mass Effect was my jam back in day and the ending of 3 pissed me off so much. The threads on the old Bioware forums were a sight to behold. Thank God for the Citadel DLC as that became my head canon ending. As far as I'm concerned my Shepard retired with Liara to a tropical beach afterwards and that was the end lol.
