The Last of Us Part II - Inside the World | PS4

I have watched enough to make up my mind that this game deserves a must buy. Although I have also read the spoilers and know what's coming but it hasn't changed my opinion about it. Hard work and passion should be supported. I have faith in Naughty Gods. They have never let me down and I am sure that they will not disappoint me this time too.

Don't know who this Ashley Johnson person is, but she doesn't look anything like Ellie.
The history of TLOU is that when they made the first game, whilst they used motion capture & live voice recordings they didn't have the tech to capture faces so they designed faces from the ground up and hand animated facial features. For the TLOU2 they now have the tech to scan faces but for Joel & Ellie they're still sticking to what they looked like in first game so there isn't a massive disconnect (though they've sort of made some features look similar to the actors, Ashley Johnson & Troy Baker).

Every new character, however, has a face model like Dina's face being modeled after Cascina Caradonna but her motion & voice actress is Shannon Woodward.

This is nothing compared to what I did in Hitman with my sweet coins.

Yes, agreed. But coins is all you need.

Look, I am not arguing complexity and options, but your 'vastly superior' and 'wipe the floor' wording is what makes me wonder.
you still have to launch the coin and follow the guy.

in tlou you can stay at the edge of a cover and accumulate cadavers with the press of a button without the enemy being capable of doing nothing, and this work an all difficulty level because it's more of a mechanic than an ia exploit (i mean the ia is pretty stupid because he see a lot fo bodies and still come in the same way), the only thing that you have to do is being fast with the fingers because the prompt for takedown from cover endure for just a second or less.

and to be honest, i was not the one asking for a better stealth than tlou2 (that is not even out yet), and if we take tlou1 as an example many many games are superior or at least more varied than that game, and the only real new mechanics in tlou2 are dogs, going prone is not a new thing for stealth games, i recently played sniper elite 4 where you can go prone.

maybe mediocre is a bit harsh, but compared to the best in the genre, tlou1 doesn't come out very good to me (again if we talk about stealth, i love the combat)

And here I am just now playing through the first game and have this one pre-ordered for 40 bucks.

I've never preordered from PSN before. How does it work? Does it take your money before the day of release or take your money on the day of release? Will it automatically download?

I ordered mine through Amazon, and myself have never preordered on PSN either, sorry.

Do they send a copy that fits through a letterbox? I know that sounds like a silly question but I don't trust may neighbours to take the package in if I'm not in.

Amazon are the only people i trust with an important order. They’re the only people with a big enough workforce to cope under the pressure of boxing up hundreds of thousands/millions of orders. Use anyone else there’s a chance it’s 1 Romanian on minimum wage tasked with boxing up thousands of orders.

I'm kinda embarrassed by how few trophies I have in the first game... basically just the hard mode and lower trophies, not even new game plus. I need to replay and get as many as I can before this launches.

Wait, wait, wait....

The Washington Liberation Front DEFEATED the USA Army?! This is some epic stuff. If they could defeated the army without their weapons and equipment, now, with the army stuff, they are a nearly unstoppable force, specially in a post apocalyptic world.

Ellie should not have a chance. Not even Joel. If your name isn't Solid Snake you are fucked.

I’ve got the Platinum on PS3 and PS4. Going back and getting the multiplayer trophies on PS3 5 years after the game came out was a real ballache. Level 999s waltzing around the map, barking orders down the mic and shooting you dead with arrows from halfway across the map from impossible angles with absolute pinpoint accuracy.

But that’s where we have to leave it, because discussing things further would be a breach of our embargo. All you need to know is that in the chapter we can talk about, The Last of Us 2 feels big. And this has a profound impact on not just the design of the game, but also the stories that are woven into the fabric of its world. Few games provide the sense of place that’s present here, and even less tell stories without saying a single world. The Last of Us: Part II does both brilliantly.
