PS5: The DualSense will be "exponentially better" than the DualShock, according to Tequila Works

At a glance, I like DualSense's proportions better, and the two-tone colors make it stand out more among older DS models. I hope the price does stay $60, because I was worried that the haptics and stuff would turn it into an $80+ investment if you wanted a second one. However, it also makes me worried about the build quality. I'm on my third DualShock 4 (current purchased January of this year).

Battery life remains to be seen, but if it's even slightly worse than the DS4's, people will be rightfully furious.

I wouldn't mind a portable device like this for remote play & PS Now and maybe could be used as a pad as a bonus. Thing would cost like 200, though.

It would be far more practical to sell the phone holder they have for remote play that attaches to the pad and have whatever integration you need for the companion device as an app.

You talking about the price? Because the video is definitely "fake". First comment in that thread is by the guy who posted the Tweet saying it's a fan-made mockup.
I saw the price I thought that maybe these was one of those secret "real" prototypes like the ps3 boomerang controller "wish it was real" i wish sony companies got more creative with there controllers. The fact that that controller in the video can transformer and have a screen is insane I would be 100% on board paying a premium for something like that.

Obviously that controller is a fake but I still wonder why the dev kit seems to have a screen on it and whether there could be more to it and be related in some way to the controller?

Most likely not, but it seems like a screen in the dev kit doesn't seem necessary to me.

There are screens on the 1X devkit as well. They are quick access features for debug info, etc..

I just hope the battery life is exponentially better.

DS4 is fine otherwise, and this look's like it will be fine for me in terms of ergonomics etc. I slighlty prefer asymmetrical sticks, but it's very slight after maining PS4 this time. No issues go back and forth between that and Switch/PC with Xbox One Elite pad. Just annoying to have to own two DS4s, despite not playing a second of local MP this gen, to avoid playing with a wire when I binge games on the weekends.

I really want to try this as soon as it is available, I do not imagine playing my games without the rumble feature enabled, I have seen games that implement it horribly where the DS4 only rumbles for the sake of it, but it is not well implemented and it feels like an after thought. Hope PS5 includes a few demos to feel the controller haptic features fully.

That wouldn't be hard to accomplish. I take care of my shit and I'm on my 3rd PS4 controller and it's not even my main gaming machine. They're such junk and the battery life is a joke.

The most interesting thing about this interview is him being secretive about what the "Create" button does. It's not the first time i've read someone talk about it in that enigmatic manner.

I've heard rumors that one of the things the "Create" button does is allowing you to send a slice of gameplay to a friend so he or she can play it even if he/she doesn't have the game. That would be pretty cool and is a smart way of promoting your games for free in the style of what photo mode has done for many PS4 exclusives.

It's some of the dumbest shit I've read in a while here.

Next up: the cables won't he bundled either because everyone already has those and any cable within spec will work.

Great cost savings!

Next up: The Xbox Series X won't be included because everyone already has an Xbox One and can play every game with it.

Great cost savings!

i dare them to try and sell a box without controller.
Would be funny to watch people and media reaction to it.

Yeah it's why TVs still come with an HDMI cable included despite every man and his dog currently owning 6 million HDMI cables each.

Sony has certainly created something more ambitious than Microsoft. I'm not referring to the layout here, but the haptics, if that work as people think it will. I couldn't care less about integrated speakers and integrated mic, though.

The Mic is good for those of us that appreciate a bit of teamwork with randoms in MP. The Mic breaks down the barrier for comms.

The tech needs to be robust however, to cancel out unwanted noise or it could be trouble.

Edit : didn't realist this is a thread bump and replied to a 50yo post, lol
