Honey I shrunk the kids type stuff is something that I've always wanted to be explored more. So if they play their cards right with this, this could become my jam. It actually looks pretty dope right now. Just hope there is lots of content because obviously this world is ripe for it. So many possibilities. I can already tell my kids are going to love what's already here.

Games especially first party killer apps sell consoles. Sony have those and so does Nintendo. Microsoft on the other hand doesn't and all Microsoft and its fans keep talking about is 9.2tf vs 12tf.
Console power is not Microsoft biggest issue and never was.
Reason why ps4 and the pro have outsold the more powerful xbox one x.

Outside of HZD and to a lesser extent TLoU, I was really underwhelmed by the over-hyped Sony games. I much prefer what Xbox offers and with all the new studios, especially the WRPGs devs, it will be no contest for me in the upcoming gen. I'm glad for you and all the Sony fans that you love their 1st party games, but they didn't really do anything for me, which is why I traded my PS4 in on an X.

Well it was XGS that ranked #7 for top game publishers in 2019, not Sony WWS, who got #22. And I guess the consistently strong reviews for games like Forza don't mean much to you, but they clearly do to the fanbase for those games.
I don't understand this fascination that one platform holder has to be like the other. If that's the case why have more than one? Not everyone puts Sony's 1st party on a pedestal, and that doesn't mean they're wrong for doing so, just like how it isn't wrong for those who actually really like those games, either.
Also this argument's always been kind of weird for me seeing how MS and Sony have virtually 90% of the same games between them, since the vast majority of games are 3rd-party and the vast majority of those are on both platforms.
Anyway...nothing really new was mentioned in the show, but the Grounded game did look a bit more appealing to me than before. Wish the artstyle were even more stylized than it is, though.

there are people fine with xbox games and most are fine with only third party.
I doubt mid gen refresh is a good way to look at what power can get you in the beginning of a generation.
ps4 was cheaper, more powerfull and had the exclusives. it had everything ...
ps4 was a no brainer.
they will be a more competitive proposition this time.
i don't see how it could be as bad as this gen for them.
I'm not saying MS will win ...i don't care , i won't even buy the console i prefer pc and ps5 will stay an exclusive machine (none of them see most of my money)

Good for you. As I ALREADY said I'm glad for all of you, but it doesn't mean EVERYONE has to like them - I DON"T like them; I didn't like RDR2 either. We don't all have to like the same things and that's OK, it won't take away from you enjoying them. I don't expect you or anyone else to blindly love Xbox games just because I do.

It's pointless trying to rationally talk to guys like that. They're set in their ways to warrior with irrelevant information and see everything as a simple binary opinion, zero nuance to their talking points.
I'm almost surprised guys like Matthewmatosis can do vids critical of games like God of War 4 and thankfully not get extreme hate from some of the rabid fanboys out here lol.

I don't blindly love any console maker either.
Just saying for Microsoft to pull in more gamers they need more killer apps. Can't rely on Halo, Forza and gears.
They have done all the right things so far by producing an amazing piece of hardware and buying studios.
Let's see if those studios can produce results. Fan of Ninja theory so I reckon they will produce the goods with time and support from Microsoft.

That said the problem isn't so much relying on Halo/Forza/Gears (more IP is always nice tho, and technically companies like Nintendo rely on just a small handful of IP themselves like Mario/Zelda/Pokemon/Smash), but having consistent quality to them.
Only Forza has retained that consistent quality, but it's a sim racer and sim racers aren't as massive as they used to be. Gears flubbed a bit with 4 but by all accounts got back going in the right direction with Gears 5. Halo 4 and 5 had the opposite problems: 4 had a great SP but bad MP, 5 had a bad SP but great MP. Hopefully Infinite can deliver a great SP & MP and reinvigorate the formula with some new stuff too.
And yes Ninja Theory is looking very good atm, currently looking very forward to HB2 and Project Mara (which still has the best RT I've seen from any upcoming next-gen game so far, even if it's in-engine. Final game should be able to match that if not even better because apparently the scope is going to be smaller, like PT was on PS4 (but as a full game).

That was utter wank. They've really fucked up what Inside Xbox should be at this point.
A preview of the ad campaign the sustained performance wil be front and center. Be like when the action gets heated in your favorite game the series x sustains performance to ensure your best performance.
Imagine the used game debacle and Sony rightfully taking advantage and forcing Microsoft to change. This time Sony can't change the horrible variable clocks and random performance.
