i picked Sony, but I also game on PC quite a bit... and I miss Sega so much, I'm nostalgic of my childhood with Nintendo, so much so that I owned all their systems up to the Wii (after that I got the message, they are not for me).

I had the OG xbox - NO PS2 - but never touched the 360 (I was curious about it, but I had a video card that had as much memory as the 360's total back in the days, so I wasn't so interested in consoles).

Anyway, but PlayStation is where I keep going back. So if it quacks like a pigeon let's call it a cat.

Nintendo is family. I grew up with Mario and Link and Bowser. They my boys. Nintendo has all my favorite characters. Xbox has Masterchief and he's my boy, too. pissed off they let Dom in Gears of War go sh!t had me heated. Wished I could just play as Marcus in GoW 5, too. But Nintendo is numero uno. just don't have enough time to play games if I had more time I'd probably jump into some Sony games, but with Nintendo and all the multiplatforms there is no interest/time in anything else unfortunately. Rockstar games is my favorite as well. These companies/franchises are more than enough to satisfy my gaming needs.

I'm more of a hater than a fanboy... I live by certain principles, and, when those are broken, I can drop support for a company in a heartbeat. I will probably never buy a PlayStation, or an Apple product. That doesn't make me an Xbox fanboy, a PC fanboy or any other fanboy. I'm actually on the brink of ditching PC gaming, I basically just ditched Pokemon (and thus Nintendo since that was my main go to game from them), so yeah.

It's much better to be a hater than a fanboy.

I started with NES, SNES, and N64 was the last Nintendo Console I owned, I realized that the kind of games Nintendo is capable of creating were no longer my thing, once I took a look at what Playstation was offering, I jumped to Playstation and I never looked back. But I have played many games on Xbox consoles and some Nintendo Games since Gamecube. I am a Sony fanboy.

None. I think one shouldn't be beholden to tech companies since once in awhile they'll introduce some feature that completely pisses you off. I bought the original Xbox and an Xbox 360 and enjoyed them both. But when Microsoft introduced their 'always online' policy for the XbOne I said 'fuck them' and bought a Playstation4 slim.

The PS4 slim has served me well as my gaming console this gen, but lately I've been pissed off by Sony's censorship policies and the woke attitude of some of their studios (*cough* Naughty Dog *cough*). I may switch back to the Xbox with their Series X if it introduces some features I like.

PlayStation. After SNES I kind of felt like Nintendo stopped maturing with me. Found Tekken, Ridge Racer, Tomb Raider, and MGS and since then it was all PS. Then PS2, and when XBox360 came out, I was just patiently waiting for the PS3.

I'm the PC and console fan boy, handhelds/portables and smartphones be damned. I don't care how good that portable game is, I want to play it on a big screen with controller in hand and a wealth of options/mods at my disposal should I feel inclined to go that route.

Used to be hardcore Nintendo fanboy. I realized I was wasting my time when they launched the Wii. Now I'm a loyal PlayStation fanboy. Long live Cerny!

Now seriously, I don't consider myself fanboy of any company. I just prefer the exclusive line-up of Sony over any other.

So much denial, it’s like I’m a fanboy of this (but not a fanboy.)

Time to have some self reflection.

Sony, simply because they're broadly better than Microsoft and do less to annoy me than Nintendo, although in the last couple of years the good shit to dumb shit ratio is definitely starting to lean in Nintendo's favour.

I am no fanboy for any of these companies.
It's mostly about which annoys me the least.

Last time around it was MS who really needed a slap on the wrist with the shit they tried to pulled off with the DRM on the XBone, and Sony did everything right (initially).

This time, I feel Sony needs to get reigned in.
They dropped Indie support the second they didn't need the goodwill of the community, PS+ was reduced to lame games after they introduced the need for being in there for online, and their general focus shifted a bit too much from games with a vision to 3rd person run and gun walking sims, imo.

So, I sincerely hope Microsoft has a lot of success with the XBOX Series X, because Sony need to get humbled again.
(and the Series X looks mighty fine, plus the studios MS bought give me a lot of positive vibes)
