With the announcement "Custom Leagues" for MLB The Show 20, I wanted to gauge interest in a NeoGAF League for members here. It doesn't sound as if we will get a full online Franchise mode.

But we could do a competitive league using either MLB teams, Diamond Dynasty...

I can't say since I think the Custom Leagues are new for The Show 20.

We could simply do it in a way that allows people to play against each other and record keep in a dedicated thread if we had to.

Either everyone selects a specific team, or plays against each other via Diamond Dynasty. The moment I know more about the Custom Leagues I will post it and all participates can agree on rules. Perhaps you can only use the same SP once every 5 matches?

I'd like to say yes, but I wonder what type of a time commitment we're looking at. I'm interested in theory, but I'm not sure it will fit within the big picture for me. I'll keep my eyes on developments. We'll see.

My biggest concern is time commitment as well. Always difficult with a child. I wish this kind of stuff was available when I was in my early 20s.

Yep. I don't know if it's been confirmed what other platforms it will be released on, but it seems as though MLB pushed Sony to develop the game for more than just PlayStation.

I had no issues playing Online in the show 19. Hopefully that continues in 20

I'm trying to imagine the level of hardcore baseball nerdery you'd have to ascend to in order to only play Pro Yakyuu Spirits instead of The Show. I know I've seen it on import sites.
