I get the hype behind a Demons Souls remaster but we have had so many Souls games this gen, I hope it is something else. I’d still buy it tho!

I wouldn't care for a remaster similar to the Dark Souls remaster. I (and i think most people) expect a remake with graphics similar to the Shadow of the Colossus remake. Otherwise they better leave it alone the game is still great as it is.

Yeah. If it's not something that justifies the hype like an overhauled/reimagined Demon Souls or Metal Gear, I'll go out of my way to pirate whatever they put out for a few years until my salt runs out.

What if Sony purchases Konami...…….and makes it happen.....personally I love Lament of Innocence, perhaps my favourite Castlevania game....


I must say though, I would love to see Bluepoint or moreso RAD work on a new Rygar, it will be ripe for a new game in the series......So a Tecmo purchase might not be bad either......

Yes but it was (obviously) unfinished and there should have been much more content if it was to match the content of the other archstones. And that is content i only want From to touch.

The archstone map is complete and the enemies files exist, all that is missing is their placement.

While there are plenty "souls gameplay" fans out there, I would be very disappointed if they wasted their talent on Demons Souls remake. Other mentioned titles would generate more sales just because more people would be playing it as the souls gameplay isnt for everyone. Also, Dark Souls "IS" Demon Souls but renamed and it was due to SONY owning the original IP. Bloodborne and Sekiro are completely different in style.

Give us something that we haven't had for awhile. Souls games are so over saturated recently. You had 3 Dark Souls and their DLC to play as a knight in a medieval setting fighting the undead and monsters. Whats Demon Souls going to do so different that you miss so much?

That's been the standard 404 page from playstation.com for years. It means nothing.

I hope it's Demon's Souls so that people without PS3s can finally play it and realise that by today's standards it's little more than an okay framework for what would come later!

(This post is semi serious, I do actually like DeS more than DS2 but the rest are all better games)

If not Demon's Souls, then Destruction Derby would be the perfect game to showcase the CPU power of next-gen with the car destruction and the raytracing/GPU power. With online matches it would be crazy fun, but I think making a showcase game is not Bluepoint area.
Alundra could work as a remake.

I see you too are a man of class aswell. DD2 was the shit. Flatout and Wreckfest havent been able to hold a candle to it.

Demon's Souls is one of my favorite games ever, but some of it needs "dumbing down", or at least being less cryptic.

It is very difficult to tell what world tendency you are in by trying to judge the shades of color in the menu. The symbols for the stats (strength, vitality, etc) do not indicate what they mean at all.

The game needs a lot of tweaks - climbing ladders faster than a sloth, limited health in pvp so battles don't drag on forever, more balance between different builds, etc.

There is a world tendency tab in the options and as soon as you move out of the nexus it shows you lol...

Given Bloodborne success and the lack of a FROM SOFTWARE exclusive (unless they are working in a secret 3rd game that will be released in the first 2 years of the new gen), it makes sense to release an updated/reimagined (visuals & gameplay upgrades) version of Demon's Souls since, when it launched, it was a niche game that many never played, and being made by Bluepoint, it means it will be a game free of the technical limitations of From Software engine (and programming knowledge?).

To satisfy the Souls crowd and the old-school PSX fanbase, why not do:

Souls Reaver. It's a remake of Soul Reaver, but plays like Demon/Dark souls?

I think Nosgoth would be a cool setting for a Souls-like game. The bosses could be your brothers and the final boss is Kain himself.

My hope is for a Metal Gear Solid 1-3 remake that maintains the faithfulness of the original voice acting and music. I totally skipped this generation so I have not developed an emotional rapport with the Souls series.

Jason Schreier said that there's a Demon's Souls Remake in the works. That's why everyone is thinking Demon's Souls when it comes to the Bluepoint remake.

Of course there's nothing official yet but there have been rumors for a while now pointing towards that direction. But that is another thing,my question was why does he/she thinks that a Demon's Souls remake doesn't make sense.

Their entire gaming catalog is collections and up-ports.

The only unique game they've made is the first one in 2006 for PS3 called Blast Factor.

Its nothing, the page always looked like that, sometimes (EU one) you see AstroBot.
It's simply there to say PS5 page doesn't exist, I know what you've trying (as have I, inc. SCEDEV).
Just a default 404 page, 403 would be nice though

They are not making the PS5 BC, they might however be making the assets or models required to make the 'remastered emulation' described in that patent work and for several games people thought were referenced in the tweets rather than just the one game.

Maybe they're making a magic button for PS5 that summons Santa Clause and he brings you all the games on all systems even Nintendo's and and and it remasters all of them for PS5 and and and it serves you cookies in milk.
