Intel Core i9-10900K to boost up to 5.3 GHz. Hyper Threading across the board.

Intel $500 (+ cooler) 8/16 CPU is just roughly 5-10% better than AMD $320 ar 1080p depending on the game, and at 1440p the difference is negligible.

So while i agree that Intel is the best in perfomance, the advantage is very small, and not worth it imo. I would rather buy a 3900x for more future proof or a better GPU.

So you'd spend $500 on a CPU that is a few percent faster than the $200 3600 just for future proofing? But won't spend $500 on a CPU that is already proven to be faster?

And what about Zen3, don't you know that AMD releases faster CPUs every 15 months? A $200 Zen3 will probably be faster than the 3900x, but still slower than Intel.

I see the same usual shills shilling for their favorite company. It's like Fox and CNN news with the level of spin to suit their agenda.

Some good info from both sides, but make sure you balance it out and do further research.
It is more interesting than Playstation vs xbox

Jesus Christ, what do those numbers actually mean to us?

More fps?
More people, and action on screen?

Open worlds billion times larger than the current ones?

What?

Personally i would never spend $500 on any CPU, at most i would get a 3700x and the rest toward a better GPU.

And its is impossible to know how Zen3 will compare to current CPUs, or the new Intel 10900k.

The good thing about this push lately is how it is finally causing prices for older stuff to drop.
I picked up an entire Lenovo Thinkstation S30 (Win10pro, 16GB ram, Xeon 1660v1) for $200 as an upgrade to my aging, but still running strong, w3690 pc. Just gonna swap out the 1070 GPU and maybe upgrade the PSU

Why waste an extra $130 for less than 2% increase over 3600 knowing faster CPUs release every 15 months from AMD.

Safe to say it'll be faster than Zen2.

Better to spend an extra $130 on a 3700x than $340 more for a 9900k.

Though i actually agree with you on this as well many tech youtubers, which is why i went with a 3600 for my PC.

When it becomes old because of its 6 cores i just get a very cheap 3700x or Zen3. Without needing to upgrade my entire system for that.
