Ninja Theory announced Bleeding Edge for Xbox One and PC at the Microsoft E3 2019 press conference. A technical alpha will begin on June 27.

Here is an overview of the game, via its official website:
  • 4v4 Team Fighter – Experience one of a kind multiplayer that fuses combo mechanics with dynamic 3rd person action. Team up and execute powerful synergised attacks to become an unstoppable force in the face of your enemies – freeze foes in time, control minds, ride missiles and unleash electrifying guitar solos in a fast-paced yet strategic combat system that rewards technique, timing, and teamwork.
  • Mod Your Combat, Show Your Style – Give yourself an edge by creating unique load-outs for every fighter. Choose from hundreds of cybernetic mods to fully tailor your build to suit your personal play style, all earnable through gameplay. Customise each fighter’s hoverboard with blazing trails, unique stickers and slick paint jobs to ride with style across the arena.
  • Treacherous Terrain – Use your environment to your advantage with deadly arena hazards and gain the upper hand in moments of chaos. Yank opponents into a high voltage electric fence with Buttercup’s buzzsaw whilst Daemon lies stealthily in wait. Charge enemy aggressors into the path of an oncoming train with Makutu’s shoulder barge. Trap careless enemies within Maeve’s magical cage and light a raging fire beneath their very feet.

Melee Overwatch?
I think this was arguably the most interesting exclusive game that MS showed. I like the Sunset Overdrive art style as well.

These lower profile Mp only games are always a bit risky, as they can potentially die very quickly unless they hit a critical mass of players. I’ll def give it a shot though.

Wow this looks cool but this damn trailer gave me a headache.
Okay, glad I wasn't the only one. The static at the beginning was especially messing with my head.

The game itself definitely looks fun. 4v4 seems like the wave of the future, and it's a heck of a lot better than fields upon rolling fields of CoD clones.

Think il pass on this never been a fan of the smaller player numbers, one of the reasons I could never enjoy Overwatch after coming from TF2. Itl live or die very quickly based on its playerbase so there going to have to tread carefully.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Song was Creature by Bones UK, awesome song

It's gonna need more than 12 characters to choose from, else it won't last all that long. Hopefully, they'll add more as development progresses.

I see Ninja Theory made a point of saying on stage that they were working on this prior to the MS acquisition. They know full well this looks like a MS enforced GaaS hat seller to fill the game pass lineup.

Of course MS could well have made their decision based on seeing this title.

Either way, as a Sony gamer I need not shed a tear for losing Ninja Theory. At least not on this one.

I was just going to say that. I thought it was a bit cringe that they felt that had to mention the game had been in development years befoe Microsoft bought them, just to appease the concern trolls.

When I saw the trailer I was thinking it looks bad. For some reason, I think on Futurama when I see the guy in the chair "Hedonism bot".

This game looks so bad, especially coming from Ninja Theory who I expect a good single-player experience.

Gameplay off screen

This.... does not look good. For a moba the character movement speed is wayyyyyyy to slow from what i've seen...........

When the genre has headed the opposite direction with super mobile characters in titles like Overwatch this is not the way you want to design your game.

It just looks sluggish and boring in overly drawn out fights.

Are you seriously going to troll every MS thread, I doubt you even own one, so just stop.

You mean like the thread where I praised Flight Simulator?? How bout stop being a weirdo online stalker because I have a dissenting opinion on subscriptions and criticize one game showed at the press conference.

I voiced specific concerns about the game from the gameplay shown.

Sometimes people won't like stuff that you do, deal with it. I've played Microsoft games since before the original Xbox on PC as well as owned and Xbox OG, 360 (two different models) and play windows store games on PC.

GTFO with your "yUo DoN't OwN tHat dOnT lIKe wHaT lIKe" hurr durr bs. I'm one of the few actually looking forward to Gears 5 asshat.

No it doesn't, it refers to the Publisher.
-"In the video game industry, a first-party developer is part of a company which manufactures a video game console and develops exclusively for it."
-"Second-party developer is a colloquial term often used by gaming enthusiasts and media to describe game studios who take development contracts from platform holders and produce games exclusive to that platform. "
-"A third-party developer may also publish games, or work for a video game publisher to develop a title. Both publisher and developer have considerable input in the game's design and content. However, the publisher's wishes generally override those of the developer. "

colloquial term = made up

There is 1st party and there is 3rd party. This is how the platform holders see it and use it, and this is how I see it and use it.

lol In that case third party would be more accurate if you don't want to use "second" because Insomniac is still not owned by MS and far as I can see "X party game" isn't a thing. It only refers to the the studio making the game.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better, but it's 1st party. It's a Microsoft Studios game. All Microsoft Studio games are 1st party games.

I actually have a written down definition I can point to to backup what I'm saying. Makes you wonder who is actually telling themself something to make themself "feel better" here...

Your definition is wrong. Colloquial means its just something gamers use to differentiate 1st party games developed in house and 1st party games developed out of house. They are still all 1st party.
