At the very least it better be locked at 30 fps. The original's biggest shortcoming was its performance. I remember everything to the East of Gran Soren being a slideshow.

Being a mage caused frame rate performances too. Hell wait till you get to that second to last corridor in the Dark isle(place before the final boss of that expansion).... FPS tanked hard there on the second/+ runs due to all the "NOPE" that gets added there.

Still surprised they are only doing the 2nd game and not remastering both.

uh.... you know dark arisen was an expansion which included the original right? The only other game besides Vanilla is Dragon's Dogma online, which you should never look forward to playing because capcom wont bring it over.

Hope this game lives up to the gaf hype for me. I will probably wait til the holidays to buy it, will probably be 20 bucks by Christmas.

This will be my 3rd try to get into the game. GAF loves it so much but I found it to be meh. My gamefly queue will decide this once and for all in October.

The Berserk armors will most likely be gone, right?

I was always intrigued by the game, even bought it for last gen and started it. Made Guts as the main Character and Schierke as Pawn. Only to freak out over rotting ingredients in my item bag and never touch it again...

It CAN'T be 30fps, that'd be so stupid. The PC version allows for over 144fps. It's sublime.

Either way, hope it sells well, would love a sequel.

This game better be good......

Heard so much praise from GAF about it.

It's a hidden gem to be sure, but don't go in expecting the greatest RPG ever. It definitely has its rough spots and flaws - there's a reason it didn't light the world on fire when it was released.

But it does some pretty cool, unique things with its gameplay and doesn't feel like a copy of any other RPG franchise.

I never finished the game on the PS3 but I enjoyed my time with it. Except for the fast travel system, that was a big turnoff.

I really want to play this again but man I'm most definitely tired of open world games at this point.

One of the best RPGs ever for me and one of my all time favourite games (especially BBI). Hope all the new players enjoy it!

The fast travel system was fixed in Dark Arisen.

That said, never hurts to wait a year or two for a lower price.

They couldn't charge a $10 premium over the Resident Evil remaster price and not have 60FPS, right? Don't do me like this, Capcom.

Dark Arisen is just the first game with add-ons.

Huh?
Dark Arisen is an expansion of the vanilla DD. It has all the content of the first game in addition to the new stuff.
So down for this. The lower price point is perfect; crossing fingers for 60fps!
Dark Arisen is an expansion that includes all of the first game.

I get it, I get it....

I really hope they change enemy spawn rate. Sometimes it's getting annoying when there is wolfs or bandits etc. every few steps.

I also kind of want to hold and see if a Switch version comes eventually? Portable Dragon's Dogma would be a game-changer.
Every thread...

Anyway, good price, this game deserved a remaster, hopefully more people will play it now and get more attention.

It's a shame about the timing for this release. I've been in a drought game-wise all summer long with nothing new to play. Once September/October hits I'll be busy with Destiny 2, Dishonored, Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein.

If Dragon's Dogma had released last month it would've been a Day 1 purchase. I never got far into Bitterback Isle and wanted to return to it but with so much new stuff coming out I know it would just get pushed to the back burner again. But for only $30 I may get it anyway just to support the game and hold on to it until my next game drought.

I have played DDO on Ps4, and its probably the best F2P game I have played so far.

Its the only reason I couldn't get into it. I loved the whole premise, but the IQ and performance was shit on consoles. Game was too ambitious.
