Thanks, I'm really impressed with it. I may have been the only one at the comic shop who got a sketch from her since I didn't see any others after me. I thought about commissioning a second sketch but had to go back to work.

This is my goal, too. I have so many singles, trades and OGNs to catch up on. I aim to read two singles a day.
Read Brisson's first issue on OML. It was alright. Certainly grittier than Lemire. I think it's cool he's dealing with the
Hulk Gang. I enjoy the alternate universe hillbilly hulks.

Well thanks to Donnie's talk, I went ahead and got Amazing Screw-On Head. Also grabbed that Hellboy OGN that came out earlier in the year. That coupon from Comixology was nice.

I have a hate on for that style of art, I'll admit. Really hate it. I don't find it immersive at all.
But even the writing. I dunno. Maybe I'm sick of so much mafia type of stuff in media, you know? Including comics. And I just find a lot of Simone's writing to be grimdark. I wanted to like her. I try to support female creators. Anyway, I just started skimming this after a few pages. Hated it.

Emiko hasn't had a prime role outside of action sequences outside of the Yakuza arc which was a while ago at this point. She's been background and support. Roy was prominent for Return of Arsenal, but was yet again, support for this arc.
The, but the books seems to be hunting at big things for Emiko becoming Red Arrow.
I will not sit idly by while comics-Gaf slips from the grasp of America...
This made me think of the America song from Team America.

Batman/Fudd lives up to the hype. I wasn't expecting the art to be as strong as it was, but Weeks really delivered and then some. Wonderful noir look and story. Strongly recommend.

Haha, I will take that blame! I don't think you'll be disappointed at all, looking forward to your thoughts on both. You can see Into The Silent Sea sliding right in comfortably as a classic HB short story alongside his "and others"-type Hellboy collections, and the Amazing Screw-On Head collection, damn, that has really stuck with me lol really knocked back by the quality of that one. Somehow he cranks the absurdity higher than usual, and still comes out with one of his most heartfelt stories.
Just read Secret Empire #5 and I'm done with this story. Still gonna read it to the end though.
I hope after it's all done everyone just shuts Cap and Tony's shit down. All they ever seem to do is fuck up monumentally. I know in this case it's not really Cap's fault, but still.

Speaking of Mignola stuff. I read by trade so I haven't read it myself yet, but apparently there was an interesting revelation in Joe Golem this week outside of the main story they're telling with this arc (which I'm oblivious to right now). It's only really mentioned in passing but cool for potential future ramifications. Minor spoiler but apparently they established Joe Golem as taking place in the same world as
. A cool little connecting of the dots.

This was great. Gave me vibes of Fables, and even though I don't think the motives and story made much sense in the end it was just fun and great. Easily the best of the Looney Tune cross-overs.

Kind of a recap on Reverse Flash, but this was still pretty great.
Detective Comics
I've been kind of down on Detective Comics as of late because it hasn't been near as good as those first two arcs. These last two issues have completely got me back on this book.
My one complaint....TOO MANY GOD DAMN DOUBLE PAGE SPREADS. Not every damn page has to be a douple page spread. As a digital reader on a tablet that isn't that big, it's absolutely annoying to keep zooming in and navigating the page. Uggggggh.

Valiant Folks: Is this supposed to take place a while back after the Harada emails first released? Harbinger Renegades made it seem like it'd been a little while since that happened.
Really liked this and liked the characters, but the timeline made me a bit confused.
