So we should just kill every asshole who has shitty beliefs? It's weird coming in these threads and nazi assault threads and then going into a death penalty thread because peoples tones change completely.
I mean, he believes I'm nothing but a nigger who is not equal to him, that's a bit past shitty beliefs

Hey everybody check me out I've got such deep and nuanced philosophies listen to this I think murder is bad no matter what!

Yeah no shit. This is like a middle schooler's moral stand. Guess what, the murderer is a bad person (and should be punished) and so was this guy. Doesn't mean anyone should waste an ounce of sympathy for a dead leader of the actual KKK.

Lol this. I love how people just love to view everything in black and white, instead of just taking a few seconds to consider why people wouldn't exactly be distraught over a fucking KKK member dying.

"What a shame" posts aside, it is quite interesting to think who killed him considering the mysterious circumstances surrounding him the few days before.

No one deserves to be killed for their belief that others should be killed for their skin color (aka no reason)

This is basically what you're saying
I'm not advocating murder, but people need to stop trying to downplay certain people's beliefs as harmless differences of opinions or perspective

So we should just kill every asshole who has shitty beliefs?

He is a racist that contributed to the hatred, suppression, and deaths of countless people of color. Directly or indirectly. Don't sugar coat this with some moral high ground bullshit.

Holy fuck, you really serious right now?
Never said that but I would be damned if I shed tears for someone who believes in shit the kkk preaches.
I never said you should shed tears i just find this weird obsession with people being ok with people assaulting and killing other people on this forum but completely back pedal when it comes to the death penalty.

Of course not, but we can't exactly be expected to cry over such a "tragedy"
Again did i ever state people must cry over his death?

GAF is a monolith..oh, wait. You're part of GAF, just like plenty of other pro death penalty fools who post here, so I guess that's just a bunch of bullshit..😃

We do it to terrorists in the Middle East why we giving American terrorists a pass

So how did you feel when they killed osama bin laden?

And death penalty is a different beast than people who have clearly documented acts against other people whereas a person on death row may or may not have had a fair trial.

Fail out bailed
Not gonna celebrate any person's death, but yeah, not losing any sleep either.

That said, I sure hope the killer turns out to be another dickhead white guy.

No, we shouldn't. But if the "shitty belief" is that blacks aren't people and should be hanged and he propagates this stuff, then he should be prosecuted for it.

Nobody (I haven't seen it at least) here is saying we should start killing people like him. But being sad about it? Yeah, no.

I don't think anyone here would have advocated to murder the dude, but that doesn't mean they are going to be all torn up about it happening. Fuck this guy, imo.

"I am not going to miss that shitbag racist leader of a terrorist organization" is not really the same as justifying murder. "RIP to a piece of human garbage" is not condoning murder over political affiliation. Not sure why people feel like they gotta heroically jump in front of a phantom train of impure gaffer behavior that isn't happening.

Well thanks for hopping up on that cross for a clansman of all people.

I don't believe in the death penalty and I don't believe in vigilante justice. Bottom line, regardless of the criminal in question or the nature of their crimes...whether they happen to be mass-murders or deranged racist clansman. I believe people who harbour insidious (and evil) beliefs that involve harming or killing other human beings and who plan to act on those beliefs should be put behind bars for a very, very long time. But I don't believe they should be killed by citizens who decide to take the law into their own hands.

From the sounds of it, this was a supremely fucked up and evil human being and I don't doubt that few people will miss him on this planet. But I feel that as a result of his actions, he deserved to be put away and made an example of via the law. If we take that process away, justice can't be counted on and the system breaks down as people begin to feel this kind of vigilantism is acceptable. I know this is just one isolated example, but I don't believe in making exceptions in regards to the way we deal with toxic and hateful individuals such as this man in the story.

I'm not saying he deserved to die, or that his murder was justifiable, I'm just saying I don't feel an ounce of sympathy and that nothing of value was lost. Fuck him.

No one deserves to be killed for their beliefs. Assuming that that is what occurred here.
When they are for a terrorist group that goes out of its way to harm/kill minorities in this country for nearly a 100 years then hell yeah it does. I needed to hear good news today

The lack of awareness is astounding in all these random defense forces I've seen over the past months. Like you'd think they just think to themselves real quick "Why the fuck am I telling people that it's wrong to get upset over a KKK member dying? Why am I choosing now of all times to say that it's wrong for someone to be killed "for their beliefs"? Why?"

Like you wanna have that black and white viewpoint, sure, go ahead. But don't expect to not be clowned if you actually go ahead and post it in the context of this thread.

There's a difference between killing someone and not feeling particularly upset when someone terrible drops dead.

Why do people keep asking if they should be or shouldn't be sad? I never brought up that.

I am just asking people do they think it's ok to assault people they don't agree with it and to kill assholes? Will i have trouble sleeping at night because he's dead? No, but i just find it weird comparing the reactions to threads like this to other threads dealing with people dying. Like when someone wants to put down someone who murdered multiple people vs a guy who never actually murdered anyone. It's more devils advocate if anything i never said be sad over it i have absolutely no love for nazi's and racist people it's just weird that people change their tone so fast.

So you're comparing people who can't accept state sanction killing because there is the potential for a wrongful death of an innocent, something that is unacceptable...

to the death of a known leader of a terrorist organization, one founded on the mass killing of minorities...

GAF help me, I can't....I fucking can't.

He wouldn't be saying that if this guy was a terrorist from the Middle East. Terrorism from the US though? Let's feel bad about it and mourn for their families and become apologists and say that they had mental illnesses to absolve the KKK from any blame.

Are people actually advocating for street justice? I just think there's no reason to give a fuck about this mans death. And if this man was killed for his beliefs I'm still not going to care considering he was in the KKK. The hang a black man from a tree and mutilate his body club.

Nobody has argued otherwise. Keep shadow boxing, tho

I know they aren't, I'm just trying to elaborate on my initial stance, because the person I was replying to seemed to interpret my original response as me standing up for a clansman, which really wasn't what I was doing.

Yes, I would.

I don't believe in murdering criminals, either within the law or outside it. Full stop. No matter what those criminals have done.

Okay, I'm out.
