looks like Marvel is getting some heat for the nazi stuff atm.wouldn't have been bad if Hilary had one.

While it's understandable to find a dark story like this uncomfortable given the current happens there are a lot of things in this article that I don't agree with. Marvel isn't going to scrap the Hydra Cap story which this person seemingly never liked anyways.

The only HB book I haven't tried yet is Scooby Apocalypse, the first tpb of which comes out this week. The rest I can say are all very good.

I'm glad to hear that. The PTSD stuff from the Flintstone that was posted here in the past was what sold me, I just never think to look for them when I hit up The Beguiling.

So is Invincible actually ending? I think I read through about 100 or so and need to catch up. I loved it, however, and look forward to getting caught up.
Yep it is. 132 comes out tomorrow which is wrapping up the current arc. 133 is the start of the last arc which is in 12 parts.

Such a great comic. Sad to see it go, but it does feel like a good time to wrap things up. We've seen a teen superhero grow into an adult and start a family. That's not something a lot of Cape books are willing to do. Marvel and DC like for their characters to be frozen in time.

It's hard to imagine just one person making these OT threads, bravo Messi, another job well done.

I have decided to keep print comics alive and made a new dcbs order. Six comics...i have room for more, just release something i can get behind and stop doing dumb things like taking digital codes away. You made me drop Black Panther! Well, that, and i assume it's going to have some tie-in arc eventually now that it has a second spin-off. But you're double shipping the new Guardians! And no digital code! And the one new book i was pre-ordering, Frontier, has been pre-canceled and will come out eventually.

I had a chance to get out...but then i'd be reading double page spreads on a tablet.

Black Panther probably isn't ever going to have any crossovers.

they're trying to advertise the TPBs on the back of that by making it seem like that's what you get a code for, holy fuck

feeling better and better about that Marvel boycott I'm trying to talk myself into

the thing is who wants civil war 0 and captain america.

throw in some fresher stuff. like one of the new #1.

Yeah, the thing with the Steve Rogers book is that we're getting more elaboration on Steve's plan for Secret Empire rather than what you would normally expect, though we do get that occasionally.

The latest issue of Gwenpool was so good...

well yea. spencer was holding off some on the plot till civil war ended.

The best books I read this week.

Saga 42: A gripping and emotional end to one of the best arcs yet. Saga is as good as it has ever been right now

Infamous Iron DOOM 4: This is a rad book and this issue in particular really had it all. Doom is such a badass, I love Doom books

Doctor Strange 16: This arc has been so much fun. I am sad to see it end (though I am excited about what is coming as well). The Orb was the MVP of this arc

Klaus and the Witch of Winter: This was such a fun surprise. The Klaus mini was pretty light on standard Morrison fare. Well he is making up for lost time here with an insane villain and all kinds of fun Morrisonian details. If you liked Klaus don't skip this

Southern Bastards 16: What an incredible issue. Best use of on-panel football of the series.

What were the best things you guys read this week?

Deadpool and Daredevil stood out the most to me, though there were quite a few other books that I liked almost as much.

Daredevil was great, that almost made my list

This book has really surprised me. The reveal that
Matt was intentionally trying to draw Bullseye out this entire time for the serum surprised me.
I can't wait for the next issue to finally tell us what we all want to know.

If you're in the DFW area, tomorrow at Zeus Comics, Michael Lark is going to be doing free 9x12 sketches for anyone who will call Senators Cruz and Cornyn to complain about the Immigration ban. He'll also be donating everything he makes on other sales and sketches to the ACLU. He also donated all his sketch cash from this last weekend to the ACLU.

Michael's a great fucking guy. I've known him for more than twenty years and never seen him this fired up. If you're in the area, drop in at Zeus, who are also great guys.

Apparently the "Burger" scene in the new Batman issue is really good.

That whole issue is Extremely Good. You wanted your down-tempo character piece à la Sheriff, well, here you are. Also the setup for that arc is good as hell, and that cliffhanger is top-tier. Like, holy hell, I don't remember a cliffhanger that good in a long-ass while.

Also, I'm pretty sure Batman beefs it this arc, thus paying off on that Gotham Girl thing that's hanging above us since, what, Batman #5?

Thanks! Sounds good. I may wait until it's complete to catch up as it's a comic that I binge on when I read.

Yes, that was one of the great things about it. Choices had consequences and the character aged and developed over time.

Darth Maul #1 was DOPE. Cullen Bunn gets it. Luke Ross does a really great job, and Bellaire brings the world to life.

Good month for Dark Horse. The beginning of the end for Baltimore and The Visitor. Should be pretty awesome. Also kind of cool to see Batwoman on the front of Mother Panic on the dc side. I knew it was set in Gotham, but I didn't really engage that actual big characters might show up.
