How do you guys stay interested in comics knowing that the wwe is recycling a HHH feud even though reigns already took Rollins spot in that storyline earlier when Rollins was injured?

Just move Nakamura and Joe up already.

Hmmmm we are going to need new people to crap on after we get done with destroying Sami Zayn's career. I bet Nakamura ends up in Smackdown so he can feud with The Miz and Dean Ambrose. Watch out for that wacky line, Ambrose is so wild!

Urgh at that new Infinity War logo. Does it really need the Avengers A in it when it's the subtitle and will have the Avengers title right on top of it? I'd hoped it would have the infinity symbol in it like all the Infinity titles in the comics.

The trick about WWE is to watch as little of it as possible, because while they have the talent and know-how to do great moments, their storytelling in the long run is, as a rule, terrible, because no one can make a weekly three hour show great. It's simply too much for anyone, much less someone with as tiny an attention span as Vince McMahon, to do.

But also watch Smackdown because everyone there is on goddamn fire and it's the best show the WWE is currently running, because NXT is in this weird rebuilding phase where they have to establish basically everyone while still providing quality cards, which means just putting established talent who you know will have great matches no matter what. (This is the part where you remind people that the Full Sail era of NXT had two years of shows before the first Takeover, which, maybe that's why those first shows were hot goddamn fire, think about that, huh)

How has blue beetle rebirth been? Need a poodle and non poodle opinion.

It's a busy book, with a ton of moving parts, and sometimes that means Jaime is lost in the shuffle. It's clever, it's got characters you'll like, it's well done, but, there's too much of it, and maybe you want that, because really "there's too much in this 22 page thing" is a rare thing in comics.

It's alright. I think I'm switching to sale/trade waiting it.

From Ellis' newsletter:
Here's a thing that hasn't been announced and which you don't know about and which you never saw and I was never here and the spice must flow but:
I'm not sharing the piece of art. Looks good.

It was the book I looked forward to the most prior to Rebirth. I've been a Giffen fan since Justice League International and Ted Kord and Jaime are some of my favorite characters. For me, it's just a passable book. A few good moments here and there, but overall one of the weaker Rebirth titles, which is a shame. I haven't really been blown away by Giffen's work in the last decade or so, and worry that he's lost his touch a bit.

Doctor Strange Question:
Mordo helped send Dormammu away to Shumas realm in the latest strange comic. In terms of power, does Dormammu have any chance in Shumas realm?

Lol in order for us to help you we have to read the spoiler tag. But since we have no idea what your question is about everyone has to click the tag and get spoiled regardless.

Just say doctor strange question

I still love NXT but damn did they almost get bled talent-dry from that draft.

On Shuma's home turf, Dormy is his bitch

No chance. Dormammu would never willingly go there.

Does that go likewise with
Shuma going to Dormammu's domain and being the lesser?
I have always wanted to see these two go at it and see who comes out the victor.

As I understand it,
the power levels of all the Many-Angled Ones (Shuma) and the Faltine (Dormammu) are highly dependent on the dimension they are occupying. Shuma probably could not win in a fight in the Dark Dimension, though Dormammu would probably just say "nope" and banish it since there is no point in engaging Shuma Gorath in combat. It is totally indestructible.

Fighting a Shuma Gorath incursion isn't about destroying it (you can't), it's about showing it the door as quickly as possible

Hell,
Shuma survived Death killing the Cancerverse despite being one of the four main Many-Angled Ones who drew power from it using their connection to it and Lord Mar-Vell. The others had to withdraw and replenish their power. Shuma was back back just months later. Having dozens of dimensions under your rule probably helps. Sort of hoping Shuma and Richard Rider will meet again in the Nova book since he seems to still have a trace of the Cancerverse in him.

I would even be skeptical of the assertion that
the omega-level reality shapers could eliminate Shuma Gorath completely, it just grows back no matter what you throw at it

Yeah, impossible to kill.
I kinda want someone like Phyla to become Shuma's champion in the 616 realm but use his powers for good. Have him give her the mission to find and break a seal holding him back from invading another realm or something in exchange for bringing her back. Could have her send him to a universe like the Zombieverse. With Warlock missing/his Tribunal self killed we're missing a champion of Life while Thanos looks to have given up on being the champion of Death. I want those concepts to come back into play again.

Yeah, and on top of that (this one is an Ultimates 2 spoiler),
you have Order and Chaos merging into Logos which is clearly a malevolent entity

Some real interesting stuff going on at the top of the power ladder

I think it's going to turn out that many of these events are happening because the One Above All is dead

I see. I've noticed that tactic for the incursions in recent comics, so that makes sense. All right, last question related to both
did they ever explain what either of these two did while the Beyonders were destroying universe in Time Runs Out? I know that the Beyonders were going around laying waste to all of the cosmic entities, but I was always curious what happened to the other dimensions such as the Dark Dimension.

I'm fully expecting a
"The One Above All is dead/missing! I'll show you a vision of our new top creator and his entourage!" -Shows a vision of Sue, Valeria, Franklin and Molecule Man standing in front of Reed-

Discovering that instocktrades has such cheap trades is making this whole getting into comics thing good but hard on my wallet...

I think I'm going with this list of stuff to follow for now:

Saga
Paper Girls
East of West
Deadly Class

and then consider what to add later, or just follow some series when the trades come out.

I am not sure about the Dark Dimension but Shuma Gorath is an extradimensional entity/dimension that exists as part of the Omniverse, not the Multiverse. I doubt the Beyonders had any effect on it.

Heres Marvels real problem. They can't help themselves announcing books. In April they have these books starting.

Black Panther: The Crew
X-Men Blue (Double ship)
X-Men Gold (Double Ship)
Weapon X (Double Ship)
Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider
Royals (Double Ship)
Nick Fury
Monsters Unleashed
Punisher vs Deadpool

All of the X-Men and Inhuman books are double shipped at $3.99 (First issue of these books is also $4.99) this is right after shipping X-Men Prime and Inhumans Prime one shots in the last week of March for $4.99. This is a month after they launched all those street level books about netflix people (Iron Fist, Bullseye, Kingpin, Elektra)

The line is bloated and full of crap no one asked for.

Ahh! I've never made the connection that Omniverse & Multiverse were different. Guess I should do more reading. Thanks for the insight!

All of the DD books start at five bucks too. It's really fucking stupid. Not a lot of people are going to jump into a Bullseye mini at five bucks

To start reading one of the x-men books you would need to spend nearly $15 on the first 3 issues including what are essentially 2 #1's with prime and #1. now multiply that by 4 titles including inhumans. Fuck off.

Yeah, whatever did happened to Gail's Image book?

All we have gotten is that it is still coming. Radio silence outside of that. I'd say its not happening.

Since we talked about Ultimates, here's the sales info on the latest issues of Ultimates and Ultimates 2:
  • U #12: 23,871
  • U2 #2: 23,844(with free bonus copies IIRC)

It got a boost of 10K for the relaunch that left right away.

Yeah, the omniverse is when shit starts getting insanely abstract since you have things like other publishers' universes and our universe in there

There is a Walking Dead dimension in the Marvel omniverse

Edit: I guess there are actually multiple Walking Dead dimensions since you'd have a separate dimension for every version

Including fan fic dimensions

Ultimates a recommended read? Been thinking about adding it my pull list or US Avengers.
