Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite Gameplay Trailer

If the Ultron-Sigma speculation ends up true, they probably will be the playable boss team that once beaten will go to a second phase where you will have to fight their merged form

One of the early leaks indicated there would be a beta in early 2017
Maybe it will be playable for the first time at Final Round?

Awesome, thanks.

Even the SF V was a full match -_-

40 seconds in a fighting game just dont fly

I mean it could be that those are the only moves or assets complete as of now.

@enzo did you see Iron man does a [C.lp] to start his combo against X?

Wasn't his [C.a] in 3 [C.lk?]

For a game that's supposed to be out in less than a year with a large roster and complete cinematic story mode, arcade mode, etc.... that would be very troubling if that was the case.

Looks very nice, can't wait. That roster is already looking very interesting from what's shown so far. This looks like it will have some very nice characters, bring back iceman please......

Sigma would be so raw. He could have his beam saber, and various attacks from his numerous appearances over time.

Of course, they should stick to his OG design.

And give me Lynn, dammit.

All of you better dust off your copy of SFxT and get to work.

Or get that CvS2 work in, to re-familiarize yourself. Which ever your preference guys and gals.

What are the chances X-Men characters showing up and why? I'm hearing some doom and gloom about this but no reason given.

I'm seeing a whole lot of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and very little Street Fighter X Tekken.

That'd be because the trailer shows airdash and ground dash with launchers and not a lot of full screen beams. The movement in TVC is very defined because of this. However, we dont know if wavedashing or tridashing in the air is in or not so the TVC comparisons may fade over time outside of the 2v2 aspect.

The reason I say more SFxTekken than TVC is the tag combos. Looks like double tapping launcher triggers a tag combo same as double tapping HEAVY did in SFxTekken. This is likely the reason Iron man's launcher is FINALLY changed in this game...its hitbox was so small it likely would've made it hard for him to perform tag combos very well at all otherwise.

However, the biggest reason why TVC is less accurate than SFxTekken is the fact that it has no assists or cancel mechanics shown yet. Assists were very much a thing and more than that people tended to rapid fire baroque cancels for safety and strings more than long combos in many cases since Megacrash was on deck in TVC.

Its more SFxTekken with airdashes, launchers and louder moves right now than TVC. However, even without assists that alone may make it the perfect successor to that game.

One thing that concerns me about the new tag feature is it seems very reliant on close quarters combos; I hope that we'll still see long range and zoning characters.

For example, I loved Ghost Rider in UMvC3, and was dissapointed he wasn't viable. I was hoping he'd be in the next game, maybe given his time to shine. But his current moveset seems like it'd be awkward with the new tag mechanics.

Has anyone made a ridiculous breakdown of the gameplay yet? Counting all the moves of all the characters and speculating their inputs/controls etc?

Also it looks like launchers only shoot people straight up in the air. Also ground level air juggles with Captain Marvel's sweep.

Megaman X doesn't seem to be doing anything too outlandish that a Megaman or Volnutt alt skin would fit in fine.

If anything I hope they go in much like Nintendo did in Smash Bros - actually say "Megaman" & the right sound effects, like the Bowser Jr alts.

What if, like, they did that thing they previously did in TvC?

Where they included Zero and a Mega Man.

latest

I'd imagine they wouldn't of received the shitstorm they did back in the (U)MVC3 days had they done this.
That's definitely a big reason Zero got the hate he did: scapegoat for the absence of Mega Man. The X costume didn't help things.

For whatever reason Capcom was angsty at that time because of the Inafune situation and Mega Man just straight up disappeared for awhile. Who knows what really happened there. At least we had Mega Man in Smash, and now X.

Iron man has a c.lp that he didn't have in umvc3.

I haven't had a chance to analyze further than that.

Honestly, I personally don't give a damn about people saying it's not as complex as MvC3 and it's not the same. I play games for my enjoyment and my fun and I'll be honest with you: MvC3 didn't live up to what I wanted. I got bored pretty quickly with that game due to how their single-player stuff was setup and it's only Just, nah bruh it's fun to watch but play? I didn't enjoy it was much as the SF4 series at all. This however? It's a different story. I got X so I'm good. I like what I'm seeing with the tag mechanics because it reminds me a lot of TTT2 and me, I love Tekken so that resonates. The fact it doesn't have what made "MvC3 MvC3" I don't really mind because honestly we've got a port for that now and that can stay where it is. Give me something new. Give me something fun.

And finally, this is Capcom. Most of the time they pull through when it comes to gameplay. There's no doubt the gameplay will work.

So I'm good.

X has his air dash.
X also has his Shoryuken which you can see around 17 seconds in which seems to be a launcher.

So far he's been faithful.

So from the latest interview-

Some of the staff on the game go all the way back to Children of the Atom. Combofiend is also heavily involved in development.

Lots of talk about making the game accessible and "pad friendly"... looks more and more to be 4 buttons.

The ESPN rebroadcast will be showing 2 more characters in an extended gameplay trailer.

I don't think that uppercut was his DP, I think it was just the launcher.

Or at least not the mvc1 SRK. That one had a projectile ender like gene splice (cyclops)

Did they just say 2 new characters revealed tonight on psx after the gameplay trailer is replayed?
The Capcom Cup finals will be rebroadcast on ESPN 2 at 5:30 PM PT.

Somewhere in there, an extended version of the trailer will air which features 2 new characters and I imagine that it'll go live on youtube at around the same time.

Yeah if it's his Shoryuken it looks to be a completely brand new ones. It looked weird though so we'll see.

Do you mean Eighting?

No they specifically said Capcom Japan staff that date back to the original X-Men and Marvel games.... would seem they're developing the game internally. But then they tried to say the same about SFV... when Dimps was still very much involved.

I hope tonight's gameplay segment goes more in depth on the revealed characters too. X for instance has only been seen with standard buster shots and standard punches and kicks. I'm curious to see what his special variety is and if he has a unique mechanic like Volnutt.

Oh nice. Heh, probably Captain America after that one article screwed up a name. More footage is good. I'll be hard on the watch for wavedashing. That beign in is kind of a crux as to whether or not movement will feel more TVC than MVC.

Crossing my fingers for a hype newcomer tonight. I'm keeping my TV on ESPN so don't fuck me Capcom and reveal Morrigan and Hulk. Haha...

On the Sigma talk, give me X1 or X4 Sigma. Hell, make the other versions his alt costumes and we're good. I look forward to seeing how a realistic Sigma looks.
