Rockstar website's code sort of reveals 2 upcoming RDR games

i would like to chime in and say i have absolutely no fuckign idea what that reddit post is saying.

Go to console view. Here there will be errors, if any.
The person saw the following two errors:

Code:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) - http://www.rockstargames.com/games/details/11
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) - http://www.rockstargames.com/games/details/112

The game's list numbering that Rockstar use on their website suggests these two games (11 and 112) could both be Red Dead games, guessing that they refer to a remaster and a sequel.

Just bought Red Dead Redemption a few months ago on sale. Now I wonder if I wasted my money and should have just waited for the Remaster. I doubt in playing the 360 version anytime soon anyway.

This is the kind of game that could can easily replay because it is so damn good. Plus it aged really well — but could also benefit for the new technologies added with GTA V on next-gen.

I replayed it for the third time last year, I could do it one more time on PC this time.

but like, if you put the number 2348290342 in you get the same error.

His explanation for RDR:Remaster being 11 sounds fine, but to assume 112 is the next RDR game is more than reaching.

It's still probably Red Dead R, though.
60 bucks for a RDR GOTY remaster + RDR sequal. Move the fuck over Orange Box, you will be dethroned.
Any box that has Portal in it as a "fun little project that might fail" means Orange Box isn't going to get dethroned anytime soon.

I really need to know how that reddit post proved anything?

error 404, isn't that an error that says the page does not exist..like it never even had to exist? or what?

They don't exist, yet, but something on the page was linking to those two game pages and the fact that they were removed shortly after suggests that they weren't just some ancient links, but something that was just added by mistake.

Please for the love of god let this all be real. RDR is one of my favorite games of all time. The story, the characters, and the soundtrack all resonated with me so incredibly hard.

Remaster + Sequel

Please, please, PLEASE! I would lose it so bad, and I would throw my money so incredibly fast at it.

Are you hinting at an announce at E3?

I cannot and would not hint at it; I'm just following along with the flow of rumors out there....... ya know.

I will say, this is the first "remaster" rumor that has really come up though... Maybe, it's a different crew working on it?

Or something that was added as a placeholder or a test for the upcoming announcement at Sony or Microsoft E3 conference, two weeks from now. You have to get those preorders ready.

Not going to throw money away on a remaster of a game I've already experienced but would be in for a Red Dead Redemption sequel. Make it happen, Rockstar.

A remaster + sequel would be GREAT. My original RDR disc got cracked in the center so I had to buy the Undead Nightmare disc which doesn't include the original campaign; I've been wanting to replay the original story and this would be a good way to do so if it actually happens.

I also hope they would go the extra mile and include the multiplayer + all DLC but I'm kind of uncertain on that because they'd obviously want everyone to play the sequel's online MP. That and, well, doing a remaster of just the single player and the Undead Nightmare story would be easier in comparison; they wouldn't need a team to monitor the online servers and etc etc.

Still, like I said, being able to play the single player again with newer models, lighting, etc. would be welcome. RDR deserves to be on PC, too.

Did you read the whole Reddit post?

Because I did, and I still have no fucking idea how this proves anything beyond a very hopeful stab in the dark.

Guesswork, or are you in the know? If the latter....PC plans? ;)

Just guessing based on what they did with the GTA V and GTA V Remaster announcement calendar + how they liked the short-release window of Fallout 4 + recent quotes of I don't remember who who said they had something big being announced soon. That's the safe bet though, and it's Rockstar.

That page doesn't load the games/details for anything though unless you click on it. The games list is populated by a different xhr (http://www.rockstargames.com/games/get?&sort=Game.priority&all=true) the games/details are only loaded when you click on a game, so the claim that those 404 errors popped onload makes no sense. The other 'smoking gun' he posts is that he sees a reddeadredemption folder in Chrome's sources tab, but you will get that if you just click on red dead redemption (the folder holds the rating logo)

I can finally play RDR for the first time on my xbox one. Have a fresh copy of the game for the 360 ill be fine with a remaster or it being backwards compatible.

I thought the code for RDR was such a mess that doing anything more with it would be problematic?

They must have searched in it anyway for the sequel

Plus, GTA V is still selling millions thanks to the remaster, they know it works and it is worth the time and money

I've heard a lot of good things about this game and after watching the hateful eight and django unchained ive been itching for a cowboy game so I'd be there for a remaster day 1.

If only the guy checked which code referenced to those two page ID's but nah, it was "something"... blah.

The link http://www.rockstargames.com/games/details/2348290342 is not a link that exists in the source code of the Rockstar website, the other two links did ;)

actually, you can tell from the screenshot that they were not in the source or you would have a line number on the right hand side like this:

1R4cm1o.png

instead you see the source is the same as the url which suggests the poster just went to those URLs and got a 404

Please noooo

I waited 5 years for a remaster and people said it was never happening

Are you telling me i played that awful ps3 version for nothing
