That's what I'm betting on happening, or (MAJOR SPOILERS FROM THE TRAILER)
maybe we can unlock a Skull Face costume, and a full fledged "Demon" skin for Big Boss.

It isn't really disjointed. The first half was showing the previous games and their Metal Gears and the second half was teasing this game and revealing its own Metal Gear. So the whole thing is actually about the Metal Gears of the series.

Had a feeling they'd show the MG in standing position, the e3 trailer hinted at that feature. That whip tho! wasn't expecting that.

That really wasn't a great trailer. The scene with Metal Gear was cool, but as a trailer, that was pretty...Average.

Big Boss is actually Skull Face
Shows the progression of Big Boss, we all know how he is vanquished by Solid Snake in MG2. One of those faces looks remarkably similar to the "Big Boss camo" in MGS4, which was supposed to represent Big Boss's corpse.
Is there any explanation for why this Metal Gear is apparently so much more advanced than Rex or even Ray? It looks like the predecessor for a ZOE mech.
Great trailer though. Kojima did a great job making it feel like not just his last trailer for MGS, but the last "real" MGS trailer altogether.

Yep this isn't the case, it simply doesn't make sense. No yeah I know plenty about the series doesn't make sense to many but most of it works within its own internal logic. Big Boss is not Skullface.
Ok, first, someone need to put (POTENTIAL SPOILERS) in the title or something. For the people who can't guess.
Also, I don't see how the seemingly huge spoiler can be "real". It doesn't make any sense. Sure, it has a lot of more metaphysical interpretations that could be true, but it's not as clear-cut as people are making it.

Kojima has never let huge spoilers out in trailers before, has he? Even if it is a spoiler, then that means he must have some really big things in store for the full game.

Come on guys. The Skull Face transition isn't literal. I hope people saying "spoiler" over that scene skipped Ground Zeroes because it would be dumb to think that's a spoiler otherwise.

That was absolutely awful. It looks like it was edited and put together by a university student. The music was nice at the start but 3 minutes of old game footage then that crap at the end with the terrible text? It just looked completely amateur to me.
