Travis Walton, eh? I'll take it!

Whoa! No open lines tonight?

Speaking of guests. I REALLY hope Art gets David Paulides on. Always love hearing him.

Me too! I love listening to David Paulides shows when I'm hiking in the forest. I guess I'm asking for it...

And actually Art mentioned this week that he is going to have Paulides on! I'm hoping that it happens next week.

Paulides and his team are doing a documentary about the missing people and their Kickstarter campaign ends on August 16th.

The cover for the VHS scared me, but I still haven't seen the movie. Now Communion? The first time I saw the cover of the book, it freaked me out. I really don't like that cover.

The cover of that book gave me nightmares about half way through reading it.

Art just posted an email on his website from a person named David who claims to be a time traveler...

Message from Time Traveler David

EDIT: So I read it... I thought it was a nice short sci-fi story but David is definitely not a new John Titor.

Does Art really think this is a real time travel story? I doubt it. He just knows that he won't get a better time travel story any time soon.

Art's Facebook yesterday said time travelers would be getting a proper podcast feed—with one file instead of three hours cut up—this week.

Not sure if it's up already, but he did say "starting Monday".

Tonight's show is Joe McMoneagle with remote viewing, I believe? That should be a fun topic. I seem to recall hearing some military groups actually tried experimenting with it to see if it worked decades ago, but I don't have a source.

Given strange historical military experiments with LSD or whatever, I wouldn't be surprised.

That is correct the military and FBI/CIA were said to use it

You want "The Men Who Stare At Goats", by Jon Ronson. There's also a 3-part British documentary called "Crazy Rulers of the World", which the book accompanies. Art's guest tonight, Joe McMoneagle, is one of the military men interviewed by Ronson in the book.

There's a movie version of "Men..." with George Clooney and Ewan McGregor, which is a fictionalized take on the book.

This right here is prime Art Bell material, he used to have remote viewing folks on all the time during the orignal Coast to Coast run.

I saw that movie actually. It was funny in a couple of parts, but mostly very weird and I wasn't a fan. I liked this joke:

Lyn Cassady: There's a story that Wong Wifu, the great Chinese martial artist... had a fight with a guy and beat him. Then the guy gave him this light tap. Wong looked at him and the guy just nodded. That was it. He had given him the death touch. Wong died.

Bob Wilton: Then and there?

Lyn Cassady: No. About eighteen years later. That's the thing about Dim Mak... you never know when it's gonna take effect.

And I agree that this is good Art Bell material.

Is the server down? My podcast player can see the episodes so I'm assuming a logged in correctly but it says the episodes aren't available.

The show has been awesome, but after tonight I REALLY hope Art starts branching out into more stranger topics. Remember when he did shows on other things besides Ghosts, Cryptozoology and UFOs? Yea, I want more of that.

But really, I couldn't be happier with the show, and how happy Art sounds to be back in the chair.

Anyone interested in remote viewing (SRV) should pick up Courtney Brown's Cosmic Voyage. It's a fun, fast read, and you'll either think it's utter bullshit or intriguing.

So I loved old school Coast to Coast, but stopped subscribing to Noory's site.

This worth the $5?

This captures the old school Coast feel. It's great and I have been staying up too late most nights listening. If you are going to subscribe or are thinking about it keep in mind that after August 20 the subscription goes up to $7.99. So getting in before that locks you in at $5 for as long as you remain subbed.

If you've been waiting for something totally crazy, tonight should be a good time to tune in!

Art's guest is Andrew D. Basiago and the topic is time travel.

There's actually a lot more to it than just time travel but I don't want to spoil too much...

Art will probably mention this tonight... Whitley Strieber's wife Anne has passed away.

Sam "sbaustin" Basel is working on it. He posts updates here. I hope they are paying him...

I have it in my browser bookmarks but I haven't listened to any episodes yet...

Very sad to hear.

And thanks for the update. I thought I was messing up on my end but now I know I'm not.

I'm close to buying that Kevin Sorbo movie just because I can't imagine it being anything other than a total libertarian trainwreck.
