Forza Motorsport 6 has "wet weather, 3D puddles and night races" + more

I've heard it mentioned on a video, something about the new Leagues mode maybe?

They did just talk about how there is now an option to toggle the Drivatars to be more "professional" if you are tired of them ramming you off the road and shit. It takes the data from the Drivatars and smooths it out so it still represents their driving style, just with less insanity.

Nurburgring has 500 puddles....... O_o
Imagining something like this...

So there isn't actually an online mook filter?

Spunking over 24 cars online (or even 16) is great for an E3 trailer but the fact is it's bloody useless for public lobbies. If there is a sensible system in play here to keep the baddies separate online it would be genre defining.

He talked about the online Leagues too, where the system will match players with your skills and temperament (I think he used this term).

Microsoft announced a partnership with Emerson Fittipaldi Academy competition in Brazil to promote Forza Motorsport 6

in Portuguese:
http://br.ign.com/e3-2015/5025/news/e3-2015-competicao-em-forza-6-dara-vaga-na-academi

Details of how this will work this competition should be revealed in the coming months. The pilot said he is happy with the partnership, since Forza 6 is ' similar to simulators used by Formula 1 drivers, offering a lot of accuracy '.

Interesting... you can take it as PR speak... but comparing Forza 6 to pro F1 simulators is quite the statement.

Youtube absolutely kills the quality of the video. D:

Better yet, would it be possible to have it put on the media assets page for press?

This. Those videos are so clean

Helios-

Asking this again since it has been dodged...does Sebring also have its normal TOD version in addition to the night version?

Any of the non rain/night tracks have TOD settings? Like in some courses in Forza 4?

Yes it has a dry TOD setting.

I remember for the ToD/Weather solutions in PGR4, they said it took a considerable amount of disc space to store the pre-calc lighting and texture info for the different versions of the tracks, which (supposedly) limited the number of tracks they could ship.

Does that sort of limitation factor into the Forza 6 track selection?

I'm going to hope that tracks like Le Mans will have day, rain, sunset/sunrise and night.

That way the stints can feel more realistic with going between them.

1. day
2. rain
3. sunset/same as sunrise
4. night
5. sunrise/same as sunset
6. day

At the least.

1. day - 2 hours
2. rain - 2 hours
3. night - 2 hours
4. day - 2 hours

A resounding yes, would be my guess. This is a publisher that wouldn't pay the ~50p for an extra disc when it comes to the Master Chief - they're not about to do it for Forza.

I had nothing to do with an extra 50p, the system wasn't setup to do it at the time, no idea if thats the case now

Oh my if they did this it would be so great. Make it so Helios.

If it did make alternate TOD as free dlc and let it be incorporated in the career.

So, not sure if this was asked before, but I assume the puddle locations are dynamic, right? We are not going to see the same puddles in the same locations for a given track, correct? Holy crap my avatar's pin looks so low res in comparison to Steve's. Stevereulez, when you have some time, can you make me a pin like that but for Phil Spencer instead of Mac?

they should always form in the same location, the tracks low points...

We got something out of Helios! Attack now! :D

Rally Di Positano? Just nod if yes.

The 2013 Focus ST and 2009 Focus RS are confirmed right now and I would guess the new RS will be soon enough.

I also expect that the GT-40 MK IV will make it in too.

And yet the dogs bollocks Halo 5 offering doesn't have a disc, either. Wooly reasoning is wooly.
and something something, called download.
I have no issue with downloading a 100GB game, but plenty of people do due to ISP. I don't know why people are trying to ignore MS' flake on this front so far this gen.

Is there a way to make the prebaked lighting process with the cloud?
I don´t know how this prebaking actually works, so its just a thought =)

Is right now a good time to buy an xbone? Or are we expecting a price drop/new bundle soon?

There are always amazing holiday bundles for Xbox One. Having said that there are plenty of great deals to be found right now as well. Doubt there will be any more official price drops but expect to see lots of games bundled and retailer specific gift cards.

Holiday sure aint coming before F6. I'm definitely getting F6 on launch day, so no better time within three months?

If you can get a console now for around $350 with a game... you're getting a good deal.

Also the sooner you jump in than the sooner you can get started with games with gold.

Gears Ultimate, Rare Replay, Halo 5 and Forza 6 are all coming before the holidays.

Halo MCC + 500GB Xbox One for $350 is pretty good.
