Seems a very strange financial decision (both from steam and any ip owner) not to announce that a game is about to be pulled from steam.

Even the crappiest of games would generate sales.

Heck if it was my game i would announce it's removal well before the pull date and make sure there was no sale and if the sales were rubbish i'd maybe have a last minute flash sale for a final few bucks.

Is there much chance of us getting a heads up?

Obv having that info would make a thread worthwhile.

Some steam collectors seem very knowledgeable about that kind of stuff, at least enough to make decent educated guesses about licences and whatnot.

I am not a collector, so I am not one of those people.

At least that group looks like a good place to keep an eye on - alays worth posting here for any notable games mentioned in that group.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter®
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® 2
Can be bought in Russia for 10$ in pack. VPN for activation required. Just for collection.

Anyone know if this is the case?

it's not ... there was a Ghost Recon Collection, but the link looped back to the main store page after the removal of GRAWs ... now the collection is gone from the store entirely

exactly, I never understood why would people just yank their games out of the blue. One would think that announcing at least a month in advance and offering nice discount for maximum profit is a smart thing to do.

I noticed it was there yesterday but 'hoped' russia still had it :(

Here's hoping somehow it comes back

Nothing will surprise me with gaming companies anymore.

Just can't believe how dumb they can be when it comes to ignoring sure-fire ways to make money.

Far Cry 3 and Assassins Creed 3 also got support for new downloads on UPlay as far as i saw. But there is big issue for AC3 because i think that there is no way to download SP DLCs and they are not downloaded with game.

So apparently From Software's next game just got announced.

Who's excited for Monster Hunter x Animal Crossing thingy?

It's not for PC

edited: what annoys me most about izombie talk, that there is a game on steam - I zombie and I always think that people talk about the game... I have no clue about the show, or hadn't until now.

Haha, I thought the same thing at first. I don't really keep up with TV shows at all.

Dang, forgot the month was right around the corner. Sale is in less than two weeks.

Publishers of F2P games are the worst offenders. The removals are always voluntarily and there are never last-chance sales.

it is probably more than that but anyways.

I am dying from cuteness overdose.

One of my mates was married to a kiwi for about 18 months. They really do have the strangest names for things. ;)

Just a wild guest, I think it has something to do with Power Ranger/Saban stuff. License etc.

It seems NepRB2 is doing great. I wouldn't be surprised if it end up sell better than RB1.

I'd guess it has something to do with Saban and our region get clumped together with Japan since it has Asia in it. e.g. Konami games :/

thanks for the reply guys. should have bought it then.... would have been cheaper than USD prices :/

Are you saying things can get worse than this?

Let me know if you want me to buy it for you.

how much is it spin?

Hmm, might bite on other Clancy games in summer sale then. Just in case.

better safe than sorry .... especially since ubi naturally doesn't give enough of a fuck to either warn people or at least put the games on sale before they axe them

I almost went on such a spree too

It's safe, but if you'd rather err on the side of caution, remember to exit it before running a VAC-protected game.

After finishing Ninja Blade, I'm comfortable with skipping some From Software titles when they don't sound all that interesting to me.

After seeing just a glimpse of Dragon Quest 8 again, I will spend plenty of hours on that on the go. Good times. 3DS and Steam, it's a good combination.

Aye, very safe. Jshackles has talked about it before you can search for, and with the code being open source, it's easy to check out and verify it won't do anything other than what it says on the tin.

the thing with Uplay is I can't tell if I own the game or not.
I never bought Uplay Valiant Hearts... (only on Steam) it seems like I have it on Uplay

They bunch together the steam and uplay purchases on the client. But unlike Origin you can't download the uplay version of the games you own on steam.

i'm not sure if i'd want to play it again, but it was a pretty cool game in my memory

except that one like "solo mission" or whatever

i hated that shit as much as i hated the solo mission in brothers in arms 1
