Battlefield Hardline |OT| Battlefield FIVE-O

The single player reminds me of Lethal Enforcers.

just wait, dude. jeez.

lol, are you serious? sounds like a massive clusterfuck.

It's really...stupid. The spawns are horrible. You'll spawn and be killed instantly because you're surrounded by 15 enemies. Isn't BF4 16 max for TDM? I realize they are using the entire maps in this game but it's still ridiculous.

Yeah, It was very clear when I played during my EA access time trial. They need to add in a Teamdeathmatch Small, because getting spawn killed over and over and over and over gets old. I also really don't take pride in spawn killing enemies when I am fortunate.

I'm enjoying myself so much I just bucked my trend of never buying a Season Pass (at launch) and bought Premium.

Don't let me down Visceral! DICE did a damn fine job with their's!

so far premium had been more than worth it for bf3 and bf4-if you like what you are playing with the base game and can afford it- it's a no brainer (but please wait to see what is planned)

Okay, this game is actually a ton of fun. Yeah, feels like a mod... But in a really good way. Hotwire is such a good game mode.

Are your stats hidden behind the gunbench (premium subscription)? I remember that being the indication but never knew if it was confirmed?

So this game isn't pretty on the Xbox One. It's actually kind of hard to see people sometimes.

edit: I should note that I have the in-game brightness set very high so I can see enemies in dark areas, the lighting is more natural looking if you leave it on default

Is that before the textures have loaded? BF4 had a similar issue where some blurry pre-game floor and grounds were listed as being in-game. When in a few seconds loads more detail loaded in?

I'm about a minute and a half into the round there, that's just what that map looks like. That's a direct screenshot using the xbox firmware preview screenshot function too so it shouldn't be compressed.

I'm going to wait for Digital Foundry to do a PS4 vs PC comparison.
One of my PS friends that I played a lot with stopped playing BF,
so starting to considering the PC version too.

If the difference is huge, I'd probably go PC.
I know the resolution is 900p on PS4 but thats just fine, BF4 looked good to me,
but when playing the BF:HL beta, it looked worse than BF4.
Maybe its just because it was a beta, but I'm going to wait for a comparison just in case.
I'd prefer playing with a controller pad though...

Edited: Just after I posted, I noticed the person above me quoted a comparison posted by someone. Thx, I'll take a look at that too.

differences will be near identical to bf4. and the final game looks the same as the beta

Hmm.. same as beta isn't a good sign to me.

I've looked at the comparisons that were quoted above, and the screens were from the campaign. The only difference I noticed was the PC version was crispier.
But the campaign in BF4 had really nice visuals to me on PS4 too, but I remember the multiplayers was toned down. Still looked nice though.

So I hope Digital Foundry does a multiplayer comparison.

Hotwire, but man does it kill your K/D ratio. It's damn near impossible to not spawn into death sometimes.

All Battlefields have that potential. One of the minor skills of this game has been to know when and when not to spawn forward. If you sit there just jamming on a forward spawn point without thinking, anxious to get back in, then you've only yourself to blame.

Stayed up later than I should have because I couldn't stop playing. It looks like a BF game, but plays very different. I can't wait to dig into it more after work today.

Multiplayer Verdict:

On PC my friends and I wept real man tears, shocked in utter disbelief that every single one of the rounds that came out of our guns flew exactly to where we pointed them AND when crossing an enemies' path, actually made complete contact.

This game has the best hit detection and netcode in any fps of this scale I'VE EVER SEEN.

It's so responsive.

Visceral saved battlefield from itself. It seriously shits so hard on BF3+4 from a game feel perspective it's not even funny.

I can vouch for this post as a PS4 user that played for a little over 3 hours with friends, the hit detection is the real deal.

Still the TTK can be abit higher. Giving 1200rpm weapons 34 damage is not smart.
Those things give you the feeling you are one shotted.

Must say the SP is quite nice also. No reason to buy it alone for that. But it something different from other BF SP. And the cop show stuff is also nice.

Really?! Wow, that's nice to hear with all the graphical detest going on. As long as it plays very well I'll be grabbing it. Mainly for Heist and the two no-respawn modes.

At least in the PS4 beta case, the netcode felt way better than BF4's.
Maybe because there's less packets to send.

Dang....
Not a looker huh? Whats the best looking Frostbite Engine game out there?
I think that prev-Gen is holding them back... graphics wise it looks worse than BF4 :0
