I actually kinda liked T3... It was nowhere near T1 or T2 obviously but it was enjoyable.

Salvation was a real piece of crap though.

So it's not exactly a remake but kind of an alternate timeline that's established from all the timetraveling nonsense?

-Young and old Arnold? I guess the rumors of his skin aging were true.
-For the love of god, do they have to use that song on the trailer? It just ruins the mood.
-Sarah actor seems to be baaaaad. I'm actually surprised by how bad she comes across in the trailer.

While the trailer looks silly in execution ... it appears the time reset essentially combines the elements of T1 and T2 into a single scenario.

I think I'm okay with that.

This is a movie that erases Terminator 1 and 2 from the canon timeline.

What can possible be GOOD about that?
Erasing T3 and Salvation with them, ideally. Those two merely existing already trivializes the legacy of the first two films. Short of Cameron declaring everything that came after T2 null and void when he gets the rights back, there's really not much else that can be done to fix the franchise at this point.

the terminator using its body to take on a helicopter was pretty sweet.

that's about all I'll give it though.

Also, when I was a kid it was my fantasy to get sequels to Terminator, Aliens and Jurassic Park. Now that it has happened (decades late), I regret ever wanting that. It's always best just to leave the original films alone. They've gone beyond tarnishing the legacy and mucking up the brand.

I didn't dislike T3 at all and at least that movie finally said fuck it Judgment Day is happenin' no matter what. It felt like a decent jumping point into new territory, but they still can't seem to get past the idea of stopping Judgment Day.

If this was the first anyone had ever seen of a terminator movie, people would be more impressed. As it is, it's just an average looking action movie. MEH.

Interesting idea for the plot but the cast looks horrible.

Yeah, I'm really not feeling their casting choice for Sarah. She just seemed silly delivering those lines.

And I just realized that I get Jai Courtney and Sam Worthington mixed up. My first thought when the trailer started was "They're bringing back the guy from Salvation?!"

Arnold looked good though. I don't know, this was a pretty bland trailer overall. I would have preferred a Sarah Connor Chronicles-esque Netflix series over a shitty looking blockbuster. But hey, maybe this will turn out okay.

Fuck I wish this would be good.

Looks like a made for TV movie with this casting, besides Arnie.

Naked guy is wearing shorts before he steps into the time travel device, how can they not notice that when cutting this trailer?

wait a minute

Is that Old Terminator Arnold shooting at 1984 T-800 as he arrives in 1984 after that "I've been waiting for you" line?

Thats kinda neat. I like the spear attack too.

Hype rising

Damn, GAF hates everything.

As a T1 and T2 fan, I'm actually excited for this one! Just kinda worried Arnie won't get that much screen time...:(

This'll be the movie that finally buries that franchise, I'd like to think.

We'll always have the first two movies.

On the verge of winning the war against Skynet, Connor sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese back through time to save his mother's life and ensure his own existence. But what he finds on the other side is like nothing he ever expected. After being orphaned at age 9 by a Terminator, Sarah Connor has since been brought up by another Terminator, played by Schwarzenegger, programmed to protect her. This Terminator has then trained her to face her destiny, which she adamantly tries to reject

With this as a premise another outcome than crap couldn't be expected

Is it a rape? I mean... Arnold is in this, he let it happen.

I'm confused.

This looks bad. The trailer itself is a bad trailer.

Does that even make any sense in the context of the first two movies? I feel like these keep on stumbling over the timeline and changing shit. I don't even know what this is about anymore.

Oh right preventing Judgment Day.
