Probably because there is a massive weight of truth behind it. Although OT, I have seen more honeybees this year than the previous few years, so that's a good sign.

The whole year? I'll post some stuff up later, but for now here's a recent pick up, arrived yesterday.
A modded Japanese Dreamcast. Can play games from any region without the need of boot discs, hooray! I also swapped out the power board for a British one so I don't need to use a step down converter. All it needs now is a VGA input built in and it'd be perfect.
It came with these games, two light guns, a controller and VMU (un-pictured). I have most of these games already but it was worth it for Gigawing 2, Radilgy and Trizeal alone.
Here's some other Dreamcast games I've bought in the last couple months:
This last game is an indie release that came out last month. Yes, a Dreamcast game in 2008. It's is madly addictive.
Non-Dreamcast stuff later.

Found this brilliant Japanese Sonic soft toy at a car boot sale:
Also got a Amiga CD32 this year, and started to collect some games for it. Mainly for nostalgia purposes as i had an Amiga 500 as a kid.
Some good ol' Saturn games:
Just a few more bits to add later and that should be the whole years worth (a whole bunch of Mega Drive and master system games, mainly).

Banjo was got at $25 with the Amazon deal, and I lost my copies of the Song of Ice and Fire series a while ago so I'm just doing some repurchasing.
Persona 4 is self-explanatory. Kinda disappointed I didn't get my copy of Dark Knight or my ace fucking headphones I purchased today, but there's always tomorrow
