If you go to Games & More -> Cusom you can set custom moves for the fighters if you unlocked like. Everyone has 3 variants of each B move, but it's a pain to unlock them.

Can I use these moves in Glory or nah? If nah, I won't bother tryna get them but if I can and they're better than the given moves...
 
Look like left over code? I wonder if they were planning to included stage hazard toggle but they didn't have enough time to finish it. I'm very curious if it exist in Wii u version as complete version or not.
If this is the case than it can join Special Matches and Item (In)frequency as features where the functionality is already there but it inexplicably isn't made available to the player.
 
Holy shit I think I was just able to trigger it in a 1v1.

Let me reconfirm.

edit: Nope :( Seems to have drastically reduced the hazard rate though.
 
I'm a bit sad about the Luigi nerfs :( You don't just nerf Luigi! He's still currently my main, though. But I can already see some incredibly annoying match ups, like Rosalina. Good thing I'll have like 6 sencondaries :P
 
Yellow Devil and Flying Man still show up in the stage, and minigames still happen in WarioWare. Meaning that this is a neat trick, but not all that useful now.
 
Wait a minute...

I didn't press anything on Rainbow Road and there are no karts. Reset Bomb just has less debris. Is this just a 4 player thing and not some button press?
 
The mind games that Bowser Jr. can do is so fun, place the mecha, bounce around, up B into hammers, so fun.
You can also hit people hanging from the edge of the stage by dropping the Clown Car on them, and you can hit people off-stage trying to jump up to the edge by firing off a half-charged cannonball -- the ball will drop and hit them below the stage!

Pretty much every matchup is bad for Luigi in For Glory. He does not do well at all on flat stages.
 
Tried the no hazard thing on Rainbow Road with myself and 3 CPUs.

Didn't hold any buttons. No racers showed up. It probably is the 3DS not being able to handle 4 players and certain hazards.
 
I did some For Glory matches against a fairly good Greninja and I'm surprised how well I did against him as Jigglypuff, I won some and lost some but we were both on our toes the whole time.
 
Wow, I'm really enjoying Mario's custom Fire Orb and Scalding FLUDD in 4-player matches. Gust Cape is AH-MAZING in general.

FLUDD's are really underrated btw.
 
Last three people quit on me. Currently 70 out of 115 total matches, with a win rate of 60.86%. I blame alot of those on incorrect inputs ala circle pad. :/

I just did a Smash Run with Sonic and boosted his speed to +177 with equipment.

Bad idea. Way too fast.

Though I did manage to win, so I guess it wasn't that bad of an idea.
 
Tried getting the game today with no luck :/
Apparently it's sold out in San Fran ...

Anyone know where I can see all the custom moves for all the characters??
 
Mmm kickin some Greninja butt with Charizard in For Glory. I've been having the most success with Charizard overall really. I knew I was gonna love him this time around, thank God he shed that Squirtle and Ivysaur weight.
 
Just won a Team Battle in For Glory Sudden Death.

My teammate died, but I just kept charging up Aura Spheres while the opponents shielded. Broke each one's shield, then took the time to go for the kill. Incredible.

Gawd, I cannot *wait* for the Wii U version!
 
How on earth am I supposed to beat Master hand with Little Mac at higher difficulties?
Yeah, Master Core's pretty easy as Mac since it tends to keep to the ground, but Master/Crazy Hand duo beforehand are a pain in the ass since they're mostly hovering and you don't have enough time to wittle down their health with Mac's awful aerial moves.
 
How did you guys beat master core at 9.0 intensity? I always die at the swords.

You learn the pattern eventually. The second form of Master Core goes by pretty quickly if you do that.

For the swords... they also have a relatively easy pattern to get. Try not to be in the air when they go for a big slash, for one thing. But to be fair, I had the power of Aura with me.

Megaman's metal blades are really effective against Master Core.

Charizard's rock smash too.

Effective counter with Marth, Lucina, Ike and Shulk also do wonders as it is easy to time Master Core's slash attacks when in sword form.

Fox's uair spam can also rack up damage in an instant.

I've done it with half the characters now. If you don't have any objections with using Custom characters, stack all Attack Power badges with anything that improves Smash Attacks.

If not, you're going to have to learn the timing to spot dodge Master Core's huge humanoid/scorpion form attacks and learning to use under the ledge to dodge Master/Crazy hand.

As for the sword, it's by far the most difficult. Don't get greedy and holding down the shield button instead of doing rolls is more safe.

Up Smash. All day. Every character can reach all forms of the Master Hand using Up Smash.

Incidentally even with next to no Speed boosts I almost never lose a 'Race to the Finish' event if I'm Sonic.

Helps the CPU keeps running headlong into those insta-kill barriers though.
 
OK, sleeper pick for character that I'm most enamored with when customed up? Luigi. Bouncing Fireball + Quick Missile + Fiery Jump Punch + Clothesline Cyclone = it's like simultaneously playing a SSB64 Luigi with his godly up B and down B KO moves & Melee Luigi with how Quick Missile ledge cancels. He even comes with a godlike projectile. On top of all this, he has a combo game that could exceed Mario's.

I might be promoting him from "fun to mess around with" to one of my three dedicated mains at this rate. I haven't mained Luigi since Smash 64. What is going on with all these vets man? :lol
 
I had no idea you can actually join games from the 3DS friend list menu. It has a caption that reads "Ok to join".

How long has this been possible?
 
God, my Marthcina play is really rusty. I need to get cracking and figure out my approaches again, because I just got trounced by a friend who plays Pac-Man.
 
Really disappointed in the final smashes. They kept all the clone ones the same and they changed a few of my favorite. Kirby's new one is a lot more powerful but I miss spawning a ton of items with the old one. I also noticed that every crate/barrel/party ball never has more than 2 items in it. I loved King DeDeDe's old final smash as well but that obviously got changed because of the 3DS hardware.
 
Been playing it more and more while I'll never be as comfortable as playing with a gamecube/wii u pro controller it isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. Right now with what I've unlocked villager and little mac are my go-to guys to play as. Little Mac I know is fairly popular and maybe once I get the Wii U I'll learn to use him to a very decent level but right now fucking up a move and flying off the level has been most of my deaths.
