Goddamn, Pikachu with the Smooth Lander Defense X equipment feels nice. Gotta find more for the other characters; I can only put that Equipment on Pokemon lol.
 
What is the best way to finish someone with little mac? I get them to a high %, but cant finish.

Also - how do you use his "KO" meter thing?

Slipping up that move is damn near the only way I've lost a stock during online matches for the last day. My favorite part is after stomping the bejeezus out of somebody and then accidentally doing that over the edge they still taunt.
 
I bought it on Friday.

I'm absolutely abysmal, though I've been going about 50-50 with Marth since I started playing him. I'm especially bad against newer characters, because I have no idea what they can do. I sort of find it frustrating when people don't stick to the same character for a bit. I like having repeated battles with the same two characters so I can get settled, and it seems like most people prefer to cycle through characters.

I'm not really a fan of the controls, mostly because I completely forget that I have the ability to grab, shield, roll, or spot dodge 90% of the time. It's something about the way I hold the 3DS, I guess.

I probably sound unenthusiastic, but I'm actually really enjoying it in spite of myself

Sorry for intruding toller & jebbychu. wouldnt have joined if know you had items on xD really dumb how they dont have any kind of info about the rules before you join a game =.=
 
Anyone have any idea how to get the 10 power ups from smash run challenge done? I've ran through multiple times to no avail.

On a side note I'm really enjoying the game so far, pretty sure I'm going to main Pac Man as I really love his playstyle.

Online is crazy fun, at 104-63 at the moment in for glory. Would love to play with some of you guys.
 
Man, fuck Charizard's up special. Worst part of his moveset.

If you kill yourself after beating the bejeezus out of them you deserve to be taunted. :p
 
Soooo... do I need to clear Classic with a bunch of characters to unlock stuff, or can I stick to the actually fun parts of the game (i.e. the rest)?

I've had dental surgery that was more pleasant than fighting Master Hand.

Is DK's default punch a tornado thing now or is that a custom move? It seems really sick.
 
Does it feel like online matches get more laggy the longer you play against somebody? The first match will start with minimal lag then by the end there's some and a 2nd game with the same person usually ends with unbearable amounts of lag for me.

You can unlock just by doing matches, in any mode. But you will eventually need to play against a CPU (you can do 1 stock against a lvl 1). When you finish the match (win or lose) a character will challenge you. You have to win against them to unlock.
 
What's the best way to get custom costumes? It's the last thing I got on the first challenge board, and I don't want to waste hammers.

I also share the sentiment that the gust bellows item is way op.

Yeah, I noticed that, I'm wondering about the special skills and whatnot.

Can I stick to Smash/Smash Run and ignore Classic?
 
I'm sure this has been asked a ton of times in this massive thread, but... anyone mind linking/posting spoiler free character unlock requirements? Would be really helpful.

Also, any purpose to messing with the credits minigame, or is that just for fun/the small amount of bonus coins? I just want to fast forward if there's no need to aim for 100% or anything.
