They really should have made an equipment/special moves/outfit store for those that just wanted to spend our coins on them. Game has felt extremely tedious. Trying to find some smooth lander equipment to see how much faster the game feels with the reduced landing lag, but after tons of classic mode runs I haven't found a single pair.

Almost perfectly smooth every game for me, even playing UK-Asia-CA-DC games in four-player. Maybe it's your connection?

I will say that I play PC games online all the time with no issue, but every ssb match I've tried has had nothing but lag. Impossible to play.

What has your method been? It took me all day to unlock two characters. -_-

I'm just going through Classic mode on 7.0 and doing the Home trick. I also make a custom character with as much attack as I can get (usually +100) to make it go faster.

edit: I completed Donkey Kong in about an hour, but that was mostly luck.

Oh look at that, a DC. That was surely a sign to stop playing and get back to studying. Feel free to put the blame for that annoying stuttering on my bipolar connection.

Going to split for a bit. It was a pleasure as always guys.

PS: Siara, can you stop defeating me please lol. I kept track and most of my deaths came from you >.>

Bwahaha, sorry, I wasn't trying to! Good games as always Azuran. :)

Siara is so good! Leave it to them to make Megaman look like a threat lol

There are people way better than me in the thread but thank you for the compliment. You're pretty good yourself!

good game crimson and lady sk(cant see the rest )

BLUE FALCON!!!! B^)

Good games so far and I can't think of a better way to die than the glorious blue falcon. ;_;

Also I didn't know that tornado could kill you, I was laughing so hard.

The online in this game is unacceptably awful, Jesus.

Yea, single player is pretty lackluster as well. Classic mode is the best the franchise has seen yet, and AI battles are an alright alternative to the lagfest of online, but it is missing a comprehensive single player campaign of sorts to grind through that Smash Run isn't delivering. For online, I have an insanely great home network and its a sluggish mess for me.

I have spectated some random matches around the world that are stupidly smooth as if I were watching four strangers fight in the same room, which is crazy. It's Brawl all over again actually trying to play online for me and my interest in the game has decreased immensely over the past two days.

I would just like to nod assent toward this post.

It's been two days and I'm kind of done. Hell, I've seen lag in LOCAL multiplayer matches consistently. What the fuck?

Yeah. I feel like I'm just grinding in single player now. Wouldn't be bad if online wasn't so crappy for me.

My connection works with every other game I own, wired and wireless. It's either the game or I get paired with people who have shit Internet every time I play.

Either way it's infuriating because I really would like to play online. Sometimes (rarely) I get good matches, but most are awful.

Azuran, Lady and FriskyJC those were some fun matches! I sadly have to go. Let's do this again soon please! :D

For sure. Sometimes when I'm idle, I make a room and leave it open so you guys on my FL can join if you're looking for some quick matches. The best part about this game is that unlike the previous Smash games, I can actually take this one to school with me and still play with you guys during breaks :)

Dunno what's wrong with people that have local wireless problems, me and my brother play flawlessly.

Haven't had a local match yet, but in the demo I did have lag in the same room and even a disconnect. Any chances the Wii U version will have better online or is that just a pipe dream at this point?

I played some For Glory Matches with Jigglypuff and I loved playing against DK's Bowser's and Palutena's, did not enjoy playing against Pit's Little Mac's, Sheik's, Greninja's or Bowser Jr's. I need to get better against those.

Here is my friend code if anyone wants to add me btw

I'm probably going to lose a lot because I'm not very good yet

Jigglypuff is so fun as usual.

She just doesn't seem much better from Brawl, BAir and Rest aside. The new game mechanics are her biggest buff, though.

It doesn't make sense to me, especially given how smooth Mario Kart 8 is, even over wifi.

Mario Kart cheats a lot when it comes to lag. It's often really laggy but because of the way it shows opponent racers, it doesn't update in real time and can mask a lot of it. It's not a trick they can pull for a fighting game.

Any reason NOT to go digital? Heard load times were worse than the cart. True? Want the game but don't have time to leave and go get it today.

Sorry I haven't been playing online with anyone, but it's because my internet is the worst. Once every 5-10 seconds my packet loss jumps to about 5-10% which causes the game to freeze for a second every 5-10 seconds which makes it no fun. When it's not freezing, it's actually perfect.

I'm using a comcast issued router/modem combo, and JUST got it replaced w/ a brand new one, but the issue is still here. I turned off all firewalls everywhere to see if it would help, but it doesn't. Running a pathping now to see where it's happening. This sucks :/

This is a wired connection on my PC, this is not wireless. The packet loss happens early on in the route, but after it leaves my home, so it's not router interference.

Just spectated a team battle where both members of a team were killing themselves right from the beginning. This mf have made me lose 400g :/

The lack of modes reminds me of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which is not great. Target Blast sucks, Home-Run and Smash Run are dull. The highlights are Classic, All-Star, Multi-Man, and Trophy Rush (4/8).
