Man my relationship with this game is really weird. Was up to 4AM playing 1v1 For Glory, toally obssessed. Got my ass handed to me most of the time, but it was still really fun because I was learning and no game felt uniwinnable it was just me screwing up mostly. Then along came a Mario and I just couldn't beat him. He blocked/dodge my every move and it seemed like all his moves took priority over mine. Those matches weren't any fun at all. After that the skill level seemed to change a bit and the combat turned into a rolling, dodge and throw contest. Didn't have as much fun as my first hour of matches, though some of that could be because I was really tired and it was really late.

I'm having alot of problem with the control unfortunetly, always messing up the volume slider, loosng my grip on the stick and having trouble doing the right attacks (especially up B with Greninja). It's a fun game though and I had a blast yesterday, but for some reason I don't feel like playing more today. Gonan try though!
So far I'm loving Greninja, Zero Suit Samus, Lucario and a bit of Bowser. Having really BIG problems with smashing people with Greninja and especially ZSS. I'm also pretty bad at chasing off stage :/, any tips on those two things would be really welcome.

Fighting against Little Mac in For Glory mode seems impossible. His attacks seem to hit twice as hard compared to anyone else... I don't know, I'm probably doing something wrong in the match up (I'm playing as Pit).

He's pretty prone to throws and gimping. You have to be really careful and defensive against him until you find an opportunity to get him off stage.

I don't really play Pit so not sure on his options (thinking of trying Dark Pit out who is mostly the same though), but as Wario I pretty much try to space a bit with the Bike and just constantly stay in the air until I manage to grab/Bite. Though Wario and other aerial characters like Jigglypuff are probably one of Mac's worst match ups imo.

1-Up Mushroom trophy description:
Eating one of these gives you an extra life. That's right! A whole extra version of you! But it does make you wonder, is getting 1-Up Mushrooms and making more copies of yourself the real goal of any adventure? You can just imagine a bunch of Marios getting together to discuss it...
The deepest lore...

Betting in Spectator mode is so addicting.

edit: is everyone always watching the same match?

Finally got my copy today, games great. Bit of lag online at the moment but I'm hoping that will smooth out after its been out for a while. I'd be up for some games later with anyone.

I don't know what Dark Pit has that regular Pit doesn't but I find myself gravitating to this clone more and more, not as a main or anything but as a reliable member of my rotation.
I just don't know what it is that's clicking with me here since standard good guy Pit is still a bit of a dud for me, I need the details on what makes him different outside of Electroshock arm and alternative arrows.

Anyway the bulk of my for glory experience thus far has been against just two different people with many a rematch, guess I'm fortunate to have been matched up with people similar in skill and a decent connection on these two occasions, this good run surely can't last (of course my actual first online match was laggy as hell as DK got spindashed into oblivion, it was not good).

Something about Donkey Kong just doesn't mesh with me as well this time around, usually he's my go to character but now something is missing, it kind of feels like all the other heavyweights got buffed somewhat (hey Bowser!) but DK just feels exactly the same only with a roll, he's still solid, just kinda stagnant. After four games I guess he just can't expand dong like he used to, plus I can't nail his meteor moves for shit all of a sudden.
Granted Ike and Ganondorf feel similar as well but the change in game physics alone seems to benefit them a lot more.

That's what I feel about DK too. Something about him just feels uninspired, if that's the right word. I think it's because I haven't really put much time to him here but I'm really gravitating towards Charizard as my go-to heavy this time around. (Unless Wario and Jr count lol)

He's just not as fun as in Brawl for some reason.

As for Dark Pit seems like he's the exact same except for Side B and Down B. :V

I haven't played DK against any humans yet but he's pretty much the same as Brawl except dash attack, his Dthrow, and the aerial Down B. And he was a pretty good character in Brawl already -- what made him bad was his MUs (DDD's infinite standing chaingrab, MK's tornado, Snake all around having better hitboxes than DK and survivability, Falco laser pressure, etc etc). I mean, he still has SH double Bair which was pretty godlike in Brawl and many characters from Brawl have seemingly lost those kinds of things (like TL's full hop double Bair or Marth's SH double Fair).

It's hard to say he's better, for sure. Especially compared to the other heavyweights. But I don't think he's necessarily bad, especially when all of his bad MUs from Brawl got nerfed.

In other news, I unlocked everybody last night and almost got all of Samus' custom moves in one Classic mode run -- pretty crazy! Hoping to continue to do more Classic mode runs today and maybe mix it in with some other stuff. My hands are still kinda sore. :/

I played yesterday and had no problems at all. Used Ganondorf, Yoshi and Mario.

I was trying to unlock the "use 15 people in Home Run Contest" achievement. Maybe my skill was just too much. I haven't had any problems so far on my JPN and US copies. I am using a small 3DS for my US version.

Thanks for the advice. It's not like there's going to be a shortage of Little Macs online right now so I'll be sure to try it later.

This sucker drains battery like nothing else. Original 3DS and I'm charging so often. Ughhhh.

People in the event yesterday were getting out of battery fast as hell too. I lasted because I didn't use 3D, sound off, brightness 1 and power save mode on. Even with that I ended up with a red light when I arrived home.

I'm really enjoy playing as Pac Man. I love how his side B can climb up the sides of walls and in conjunction with his up B gives him really versatile recovery!

The Pokemon Trainer trophy mentions Ash.

We're crossing the streams here people.

No 3D, sound off, brightness 1... final destination.

But seriously, damn. New 3DS XL's can't get here soon enough.
