I don't know if this has been answered before but is the digital version going to be released at midnight or do I have to wait until morning?

Less than 12 hours!! My internet is slow most of the time and DCs. It only works fast like 4 days out've the month so hopefully I cn download this. If not, I'll have to go around town tomorrow to try nd get wifi at a mcdonald's or something. >_<
 
Got notified that Walmart will actually have smash at Midnight.
Hmm think i'll just take the risk and go for that. Just go 10 minutes early so I can make sure they have it. So much closer to me than the gamestop.
 
Just paid the remainder of my pre-order off :-O

Now I just need to walk in and pick it up tomorrow (not hardcore enough for midnight).
 
Well I got my hands on the game this morning and have been playing non stop all day, absolutely LOVE it.

I spent most of the day messing around with the vets then slowly onto the newcomers. And then the unlocking began.

This is definitely gonna keep me busy until the Wii U release.

And for anyone else with a OG 3DS I'd think about upgrading to an XL when the New model comes out next year, I know I will be.

EDIT: Almost forgot, fuck Falco's voice change ;_;

Also, don't know if this has been mentioned before because there's been a lot of pages since I was last here, but the eShop is letting you download the day 1 online patch ahead of the actual game release. Pretty nice so you can get right into the game once it's downloaded.
 
I got the game in the mail around lunchtime and have been loving it. The last smash game I played was melee and that was around 10 years ago and damn I have gotten rusty, got my ass kicked badly by
Master and Crazy Hand team
on 3.5 difficulty. But still having a blast playing it.

Btw does anybody know any guides which can help explain in more depth the mechanics and changes?
 
So I may not be downloading it after all. I have no easy way of transferring stuff from one SD card to another because neither of my home computers have an SD card reader, nor does my work computer. The SD card in my 3DS is the one that came with the system, which I think is 2 GB. Oh well.
 
Downloading the update ahead of time. I dunno if I'm gonna head to work tomorrow or go first to my local store to get my copy in the morning lol. Need to maximize break times from now on.
 
What are the odds of a stealth 8PM digital release to coincide with the Nintendo World Store launch? Or would that be too big an FU to other retailers?
 
played 7 1/2 hours of "For Glory" so far, mostly against the same two players

Bowser Jr. is kind of ... I can't get used to him. I mostly just play Greninja
 
Do you guys think this game will be hard to find without a pre-order? I told my brother I won't bother pre-ordering it because most large profile, highly anticipated games that have come out in the last few years ship so many copies that it's easy to find without a pre-order, but he seems to think it'll be near impossible to find so we have a wagerless bet going on about this. I've been pretty confident I'll find a copy and I'm still pretty confident I will find a copy, but FS, BB, and wal-mart's websites say soldout and my local game shop had to stop taking pre-orders because their expected shipment was totally pre-ordered (I live in Canada, fyi).

My concern isn't that there won't be any non pre-order copies available, but that there will still be copies available when I pick it up in the middle of the day. I pretty much 100% of the time pre-order games I intend to buy day 1, so this is sort of foreign to me.

You'll be able to pick it up anywhere. This is a high stock game.
 
Amazon says my copy is 'preparing for shipment' and still expected delivery by tomorrow. I currently have the Wii U controller bundle in my Amazon shopping cart, whether I pre-order it from them or a store depends on whether I get my 3DS copy tomorrow.

Your move, Amazon.
 
So I just got the game from amazon, and tomorrow morning was a better time for me.
Just when you want the game on the day and thats the once in a lifetime where you get it before the day with amazon lol

Hey gang, just got an email from Nintendo UK and saw this about midway through it. It could be nothing, but I just find that wording... interesting. "For the full experience"? Implies that we're going to get something more than just shared character data, doesn't it? Fingers crossed.

probably some customization options exclusive to 3DS users.

Just kidding :p It's probably the ability to customize characters and easily transfer them to either consoles.
