Does anybody know if you can transfer downloaded games from one 3DS to another? I'm strongly considering buying this on the eShop so that I'll always have it on hand to play other people, but I want to be able to move it to a new 3DS if I get one of the new models.
I have done this before.
1: Create a NNID
2: On the new 3DS, log in with Nintendo ID.
I think you can backup save data and restore it on a new system. Either way, the games attach to your ID rather than the system.
Edit: Yeah, by system transfer. You can only do it once though. You can only link one NNID to one 3DS and one Wii U.

Yeah, you can do a system transfer. It'll move over any downloaded games, saves, and system data. Just be aware that it's an all or nothing deal so you can't move some games to one 3DS and other games to a second 3DS.

I declare war! I want to fight all of you Texans that are found here on SmashGAF!!

BOW DOWN BEFORE THE MIGHTY BATTY

why would anyone ever bow down to you

I'm more disturbed that his forward aerial can spike so easily. Probably won't be as effective on human players.

Tyrant did it like once or twice in that TourneyLocator tournament last week. Got a few early gimps that way.

Other characters can do it too, like Yoshi with his b-air.

Thanks guys. How do you actually do a system transfer? Do you need a cable or something?

Luckily I think all you need is to use the same SD card on both systems to transfer saves. Both systems turned on to transfer NNID, which does it via Local Wifi. They fixed the whole "digital ownership" thing with NNID. So much easier.

Paper Mario would be very cool. He has incredible potential. I'd like Isaac as well.

Dixie, on the other hand, is one of the most boring choices IMO. As much as I love DKC, I don't really think they have many good characters to be playable. I don't like K Rool or Dixie that much. If they had to add another DKC representative, I'd rather it be Cranky.

Given the Mario representation already in the game, Paper Mario would be overkill.

If Paper Mario was added as a newcomer they'd probably count it as a separate franchise and dump any Mario RPG-related content into its domain.

He certainly has potential if badges are thrown into the mix as attacks. Final smash could be super nova from TTYD.

Paper Mario has crazy moveset potential. They could make his specials use his partners, or even use his folding abilties. Maybe B+side could turn him into a plane for recovery, or B+down could have vivian pull him down to the stage and into the darkness to dodge attacks. His smashes could be a mix of his jumping and hammer abilities, using various badges with his attacks. Power Smash for side smash, Quake Hammer for Down Smash, and Ultra Jump for an up smash would be so cool. Plus he has Thoreau for grabs and his rolls could have him literally roll up into his cylinder form.

It's kind of crazy to me that he hasn't been added yet, unless if his games have started selling poorly or something.

Even when he was good in Brawl there weren't many Olimar mains, so I don't think that logic works.
Tier lists are made by looking at how often certain characters get good results in tournaments; he has to be popular in order to achieve that rank. And if you are talking about non-competitive popularity then there is no way to gauge that.

The way I see it is his specials could use the helpers.

B lets him use Koops/Koopers shell attack
Side B for Bombette/Bobbery delayed explosion
Up B for Parakarry lift
Down B for Bow/Vivian hide

Smash attacks would use the in-battle items, his Side Smash could be the hammer and it has to be properly timed just like in Paper Mario for Max damage.

Final smash can be the variety of Crystal star powers/Star spirits.

For some reason I imagine him taking Ice Climbers side-b, jab, tilts, and smash attacks. The other 3 specials would be unique though.

Oh yoshi can do it too? I can deal with that.

Someone will find a way...also the lack of transparency is bugging me lol.

Yeah, both Yoshi's fair and bair can either hit horizontally, strongly enough to KO, or spike depending on the hitbox used.

And you are, like, so oplaqueist. :P I only have MS Paint and had to resize the image so yeah. Thanks!

Pretty sweet.

I've been demo-less for a few days now, awaiting the final form.
Giiiive innnnn. One more demo. Then one more.

I actually haven't been playing much demo now either. I've kinda had my fill of it, and I'll just play a couple rounds before bed each night. Hyrule Warriors is taking up most of my game time.

Dunno if this was documented, but Villager can pocket Mega Man's Hard Knuckle. :o

And his tornado up air. If a attack is not attached to a character, villager can likely pocket it lol.

Paint.net is a great easy to use free image editor.

Wow, those specials are actually exactly how I imagined them, though of course there's a lot of different possibilities considering Paper Mario has such a huge arsenal. And I didn't even think of using items in battle, that would be great too.

Maybe one of his taunts could have Goombella/Goombario come out and give some info on the opponent, like Snake in Brawl.

Going back to the question of who makes sense to cut and rebooting the roster, I think at the lowest level the remaining Melee veterans sans Game & Watch, Young/Toon Link and maybe (big emphasis on maybe) Jigglypuff and Ness are probably all too "important" or ingrained into the Smash series to be cut without significant complaints.

Characters like Falco, Sheik, and Captain Falcon are arguably easy cuts since they are a clonish character from a very minor franchise, appeared in one game, and are from a dead series respectively. But all of them are really, really popular in Smash, and not just at a competitive level. I mean, imagine Smash without Falcon Punch?

Most of the Brawl and Smash 4 additions are largely fluff though. As far as exceptions go, I can't see the Kirby guys getting cut. Charizard is probably the second most popular and recognized Pokemon after Pikachu. Animal Crossing is a pretty major Nintendo franchise so Villager sticking around makes sense. And I guess Olimar since Pikmin is still alive-ish.

Also, re: demo, I put 5 hours into it and had my fill. After the first three days I had the special demo, I think I've played one match just to try something.

I'm constantly worried Hyrule Warriors is gonna get neglected in favor of Smash lol

Villager was the first guy I thought I'd play as, but after 7 hours of the demo... don't think I'm feeling him that much. Need to perfect the axe and tree/gyroid rocket/pocket moves I think.

Can't wait to get my hands on Pit/Samus/Paleutena/Robin!

Let me put this on record, I wouldn't mind Paper Mario given that he's unique. My problem is with the representation the Mario franchise already has in the game. Bowser Jr. is already pushing it (granted, he's unique, so I'm not that mad, but still).
