PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4/PSP) | February 2014

What is up with Tomba! 2:
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetw...ita)/cid=JP0747-NPUF30057_00-0000000000000001

That's the English box art, and the description makes no mention of it being the JP version but Monkey Paw said it would be in Japanese ...

Still no monpiece for purchase, looking like rip stealth release

I meant to comment on that earlier, but forget to: sometimes the PlayStation Store adds pages for games so they can link trailers, and other media to, but has made up release dates.

For pinball people, Super League Football for Zen Pinball 2 is up on all platforms via search.

Reminder: if you want cross-buy on PS4, remember to buy it for PS3 or Vita, then download the PS4 edition. ZP2 cross buy only works in one direction: from PS3/Vita -> PS4.

FFXIV is 11GB btw.
Yes it is. It'll take me about 3 hours to DL all that. Y'know, when my internet decides to stop acting like a freaking punk and starts downloading faster than it is right now. 3 Gigs of Strider Demo is 4 hours.

Did you mean days?
That stinks. Strider is installed now and FF needs less than an hour. :)

So much better than ps3.
No. Hours. I just found out the Beata only starts on Sunday. Look, I'm trying to go all digital, this ain't gon' work if it takes 3 hours plus for 10+ gigs. My internet is back to normal. Strider in 100 minutes.

Can I download while watching DVDs or watching a streaming service? I need to keep trucking on with my Teen Titans run.

Pretty sure you can still stream.

EDIT: OMG I do not know what is wrong. Wrong Post, wrong thread, wrong wrong wrong.

I will be checking out that Strider demo, and the FF beta no doubt. FFIV seemed bleh to me, until I saw some HD in game visuals, and it kinda reallllly made me want to play it. Though any MMO time I may devote will have to be DCUO, due to my obscene love for the universe.

one of my frequented game shops got Thief for PS4 early.
Too bad I already pre-ordered it for Steam months ago, but hey it would've been a 30 FPS framerate on PS3 nayways.

quick question guys, is this playable on a Vita?

https://store.sonyentertainmentnetw...ndle/cid=EP0102-NPEJ00136_00-B000000000000377

It says PS3, but I thought all PSOne games were playable on Vita, plus the store page for each individual game from the collection here does indicate that they are playable on Vita.

Any help?

If all individual games are marked as Vita supported then I don't think you should be worried, you just won't be able to buy the bundle from the Vita store.

Page not found?

I'm from the UK is that makes any difference. It's a bundle pack of Resi 1,2 and 3.

Each of the individual games store pages says they are playable on PS3/PSP/Vita but this page only has a tag for PS3 but the description mentions PS3/PSP, no mention of vita anywhere. Can I play it or not?

Thanks, I just ordered a Vita today so I've got no idea what I'm doing yet.

Quick PS+ question for Vita:

Is there a way of telling which games that I have installed were free 'instant game collection' downloads, and thus will disappear if my subscription lapses?

Obviously I could keep them all in a folder, but I just wondered if they were tagged as such somewhere.

If you hold the bubble and go to information it should have an expiration date if it's a Plus game.

Not working with my mastercard ;(

I need websites accept saudi master card if possible.
If you enter a US shipping address on Amazon (anywhere will do, once it's a valid address) you should be able to purchase PSN cards without ny hassle.

Had $2.08 left in my wallet, so I picked up Gunslugs. Thought it wasn't due till tomorrow for some reason. Looking forward to trying it out in a bit, I didn't realize it was roguelike.

GUNSLUGS:

It does look pretty nice on the Vita screen. A lot of the look that seems more shoddy in watching in video disappears when playing at speed on the Vita screen.

There's no feedback when you get hit. I'd appreciate one, because getting hurt just kinda... happens. I'd like to either see the character get knocked back, or maybe a small spray of blood.

You can press up or a button to jump.

The Weapon system is very Super Crate Box-ish: BLAST BLAST BLAST... wait... Ok! Out of Ammo? BLAST SOME MORE with the default gun. Buy there were probably 2 weapon powerups on each screen anyway, so you're cycling through weps very fast, ADHD style.

However, the weapons do have different launch archs and uses, so you probably want to play with a bit more finess if you're into that.

Little thing I like: Cover fire from behind boxes. Nice little oddity that works out well.

Little thing I dislike: I want to be able to duck, in order to change grenade throw trajectory, or to squat under bullet fire.

The music is fun and catchy.

I don't know what the point of characters are yet. I'd love to see a few different lines from them.

Ducking into buildings reminds me of Bionic Commando. Great times for non sequitur / silly VIDEO GAMES stuff, like jumping into a painting in order to find a secret world!

All in all, the fact I had this much to say for such a cheap game with trophies and leaderboards makes me happy with the purchase. It's far and away from a fancy, pretty arcade game of the 90s, but for a bitsized vita download of the 2014s, it's a nice little experience, so far.

Need to pick up Strider and download SFxT when I get home. Anyone know if you can play the FFXIV beta with an account you already have? Might be tempting if it works.

Any sales on the PS4 / PSVita this week? If not, I'd like some suggestions for a game purchase or purchases. Got $15 in my wallet and looking for a quality game to spend it on.

I went ahead and blind purchased Rayman Legends PS4. I'm anticipating it to be basically the same thing as the PS3, but that's okay. It's got a ton of content, especially with a good portion of Origins included as bonus levels. Should be enough platforming goodness to hold me over until the next worthwhile PS4 release.

On a side note, I used the remote download feature today, and it's great, even if Xbox.com could do it years ago.

Any of the PSP games that can be played on Vita worth it that are on sale right now from Atlus?

They pretty much all are, depending on your taste. Kenka Bancho and Growlanser are my fav of the bunch, And most of the other ones I've gotten on sale but haven't gotten to, because they generally get pretty glowing reviews / favorable impressions from those who appreciate them.

I think class of heroes is well liked but I came to ask if I was mistaken

is class of heroes good?

Class of Heroes 1 is pretty crappy compared to Class of Heroes 2, however, so would be better to get 2 rather than it.

Gunslugs on Vita, AC 4 Freedom Cry (cheaper if you buy it as an add-on) and Strider are all worth checking out.

So, I've been having a Vita issue lately. Whenever I purchase something from the Web Store, I click on the option to download it to my Vita. At the same time, I have my Vita turned on and sitting beside me (it's not in standby mode), yet the game doesn't auto download.

I just tried with Street Fighter X Tekken and nothing happened. I had to go to the PS Store and manually download. I don't mind doing so, I'm just wondering if auto download is broken for anyone else.

Remind me, Class of Heroes is totomono, right?

Edit:
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The serial of my Vita is slowly coming offfffffffffffffffffff

GUYS, GUYS, WHAT DO YOU PUT OVER IT?

is there a good very thin "non-sticky" tape you can put over it?

Edit Edit:
Actually, it's not the serial no, but the other side. Problem still remains!

DDDDDDDDDDDDDD8

Now that you mention that... It happened the same to me a few days ago, but I don't remember if the console was in standby mode or completely turned on.
