Gunman Clive returns in an all new adventure. Now in Color!

After rescuing Ms Johnson, Gunman Clive returns to again find the town under attack by bandits. To stop them once and for all he must chase after their leader; an adventure that takes him all the way around the world, facing bigger and deadlier enemies than ever before. Gunman Clive 2 retains the same classic gameplay formula, but dials the action up a notch further, with improved and more colorful graphics, more dynamic levels and richer, more diverse environments, bigger bosses and tons of new enemies.

Oh, and there's a brand new playable character, too! (see banner)

Awww, you didn't use my title idea : (

Oh well! The game looks great and I cannot wait to play it later today. Also didn't realize some reviews were out...nice!

Playing it right now! I'm about 40 mins in and am absolutely loving it. The stages are so inventive and have new wrinkles every time.

Music is just fabulous and I love that it continues playing even when you die, adds to the non stop nature of the game.

Currently fighting the
Samurai boss and maaaaan is he tough. I'm not sure there is even a way to dodge out of his forward sword strike, but I'm getting there.

EDIT: OP Should add the UK price which is £2.50

oh nice thread
that gif is kindof outdated though, I switched palette and some other stuff in that level;
it's the ugliest level in the game, which I solved by making it so dark you can barely see it...

also, Arne just released the soundtrack online

Awesome, I'll check it out. The music has been superb thus far.
And I just played the horse back level.
Some of the best 3D I've seen on 3DS to date in that stage, absolutely beautiful

Holy crap this
minecart level is amazing. Mixing in riding on Dinosaurs and the previous gravity mechanics is so smart.
Easily one of my favourite levels so far!

I haven't been able to play much but so far I see a lot more color, amazing soundtrack and really good platforming, the shooter stages play really well too, also watch a video, screenshots don't do justice to the artstyle, definetly a step up from the first one, and seriously for that price is a steal. I'll post some more when I finish it.

CAN'T WAIT!

The first one is was so great. They need to bring this to Vita and every platform!! EVERYONE NEEDS TO PLAY THIS!

just downloaded the game alongside the Codename Steam demo.

Looking forward to playing both tonight.

Pandamonium is awesome, but Mega Man with no name was good, too.

Is the Codename Steam demo on the e-shop? Or did you just get a Gamestop card?

Doesn't the creator of this game post on NeoGAF? I swear I saw him posting in the thread for the OT of the first game.

He's already posted in this thread :P

LOLz, right.

Thank you for sharing your creation and passion with the gaming world! I personally enjoyed the first game immensely and can't wait to play this one.

bah. glad this is out. but I really do hate how so many great 2d platformers are on 3ds which arguably has one of the worst dpad in handheld history due to how it feels and its location.

I'm gonna buy this as soon as I get home from work tonight, what a bargain price!
I played and loved the first one, I usually don't use the 3D on any 3DS games but the artstyle of these games lends itself so well to it. I plan on using the 3D effect for games much more frequently when I get my N3DS on 2/13, I hope it's as good as I've heard it is.

I hate the dpad on the 3DS (XL) as well, but I thought Gunman Clive 2 played really well with the circle pad.

been doing that with shantae too because games that require dpad and L button makes my hand cramp so bad.

Don't believe this game requires that though, so thats good news!

3DS or 3DS XL? the XL dpad is a lot better. New 3DS / XL too, probably

Yeah I agree. I've been playing on the XL and the D-pad is perfectly fine. Original 3DS was a troublesome affair, but the XL has no problems for me

Almost forgot it was coming out today heh. Can't wait. This is looking to be a nice step up from the already good game that was the first one.

I can't stand the dpad on the XL. I avoid using it as much as possible.

That's a shame, I think most people agree that the 3DS XL's dpad is perfectly fine.

Problem on the OG 3DS is the dpad is too stiff, and it's too close to the bottom edge of the system so it's difficult to use with a comfortable grip. On the XL, it's more relaxed, and the extra space on the bottom lets you lower your grip a bit to use the dpad more comfortably. That's my experience anyway.

These are exactly the problems I have with the XL :(. It's not too bad since I'm used to doing everything with the circle pad now. Strange that it seems universally liked.

And... Bought! :D

beril: Does it still have the 3DS freezing bug you mentioned in the other thread or did you get it worked out/fixed?

it will take some time to get that fixed. I've struggled with that bug the entire development period and thought I had finally eliminated it, but apparently not. So it won't be an easy fix and will require tons of testing before I'm sure it's really gone and releasing a new version on eShop takes some time as well.

It should be fairly rare though, I hope (I've never gotten it in months of testing)

Definitely checking this out as soon as I get some leftover eShop credit.

Cheap, good games <3

XL. It's better than the original, but still way inferior to vita/ds/gba etc.

I just hate the position. It's really irritating that they didn't use like the classic controller layout for 3ds. I'm pretty sure I use the dpad way more over the life span of 3ds than the circle pad.

3DS is mostly an rpg /VC/platformer machine.

Kindof funny you'd say that since I'm doing some pretty weird semi-fake 3D on that level. Trying to simulate Out Run-style graphics with actual polygons was pretty fun.
