You can divvy it up if needed. Like A has the best fries and B has the best burgers, but C has amazing chicken sammiches.

For the Fairest

Best is going to be relative to price tier; it really isn't fair to compare a $1.29 Carls Jr. Spicy Chicken Sandwich to a $8 Five Guys double cheeseburger or whatever.

Like, I don't think In n Out burgers are amazing, but I do think they're among the best for their price tier, which is ~$2.30-2.50 for a double cheeseburger.

Wing Stop's wings are aite, but DEAR GOD do I constantly crave those fries. My wife is a punk and won't let us go more than twice a month...

Chipotle (overall cleanest/freshest feeling)
In N Out (straightforward and delicious)
Wing Stop (wings are pretty good... fries are fiyah)

Burgers: Five Guys
Fries: McD's
Shakes: Wendy's
Pizza: Domino's
Fried Chicken: Popeye's
Chicken Sandwiches: Chik Fil-A
Mexican: Chipotle/Taco Bell

Found myself grabbing a lot of El Pollo Loco lately. A lot of flavor in that chicken and doesn't make me feel like a disgusting loser like most other choices.

In n Out are incredible and are probably the best value for what you get. Good point about the price ratio though. I think, it's very important for what fast food is supposed to be. So you are probably looking at the best value money wise + flavor.

I'm going to go with the deeply unpopular answer and say Arby's.

White Castle would probably be my second choice. Their food tastes good but it's pretty apparent that it's very low quality.

Five Guys is the only one of the allegedly good chains that exists in Minnesota, but it's a little too greasy for me.

If Noodles and Company counts, that would be my number 1 choice, actually.

Chipotle would definitely rank too.

I love Five Guys fries, but their burgers are a greasy mess. Good point about the price ratio though. I think, it's very important for what fast food is supposed to be. I have never had this greasy mess you speak of. Just a perfect burger every time.

Then again I realize a burger should have fat or "grease" involved, as that's where the flavor is.

If we don't consider cost, I'd go with Five Guys every time, but if price is considered, McDonald's tends to win based on the McDouble being delicious and cheap, and the sausage biscuit at breakfast doing the same.

I can see how people could be preferential to five guys if they grew up in the east coast and didn't have access to the glory that is in and out. Five Guys is pretty overrated but their fries are delicious and its pretty much company policy to hook it up

Hahah

I've gotten their 2-piece breast and wing meal ... with broccoli and mac & cheese... and you get tortillas as well… and all of the free salsa you want. I swear I felt like a boat after I was done eating everything. Pretty sure I waddled to the trashcan to throw away all that plastic they put the food in.

If you want to take out a small loan for the price of the food and the heart attack afterwards, Five Guys is the best burger around.

Chick Fil A makes some good Spicy Chicken as well, and their breakfast is surprisingly amazing.

For the super cheap meals, I love McD's Buffalo Ranch McChicken. It stands out as my favorite thing on their menu, and typically the only thing I get besides their parfait.

Culver's is pretty spectacular. Dem butterburgers. Dem curds.

Classifying it "fast food" is probably a bit of a misnomer. Slowest drive-thru ever.

Taco Bell is unstoppable on every level. If you don't like Taco Bell, it's because YOU cannot handle it. Bow down.

This is very true. I always have to wait 9 years it feel like.

The thing I like about Culver's is that they're reliably good. Everything is "above average" though I wouldn't say any of it is the best.

Five Guys for their cheeseburgers.

Smashburger for their rosemary fries.

It's been a long time since I've had In-N-Out so I don't remember how good they are.

Popeye is the best for chicken and biscuits.
Five Guys is the best for burgers and fries.
Chipotle is the best for for mexican.
Wawa is the best for sandwiches

Maybe Five Guys on the West Coast just sucks? Or the particular chains near me aren't very good. But whenever I get their burgers they are a glob of cheese and grease. It's kind of disgusting. Even that aside, I don't think the buns/meat is anywhere as good as In N Outs. Neither are the onions/toppings.

EDIT: my post was kind of condescending, as if it was factual. My apologies. If people love Five Guys, that's cool. I'll edit my post. Wasn't very nice. Sorry.

I've also seen pictures of their burgers online, and it doesn't look like the ones I've had. So I'm just going to assume the chains near me just don't make them right. Sucks.

I didn't find it to be condescending, and I think there may be something to the locations differing. We also have no In-N-Out, so I have no idea what I'm missing. One day though...

NOTE TO SELF: Take Germany off the visit list.

Oh I'm sure you wouldn't starve, don't be afraid. But yeah there are not that much fast food chains.

We got a lot of McDonalds, many Burger Kings, a few Subways and Pizza Hut and very few KFCs. That's it. But we got a lot of Döner Kebab but that's not a fast food chain

I love Döner

I did a double edit. But I've noticed that picture of Five Guys online doesn't look like what I had. I think the chains near me are just making the burgers wrong. Which is a shame. The burgers in the pictures online look much better then what I had.

I genuinely like In-N-Out's burgers, but I think their fries are pretty mediocre. You pretty much have to get them animal style to make them good. They're fresh cut, but they're cut so thin that they don't have a very good potato taste.

I wish I could get Five Guys fries animal style. That would be ideal.
