Update 2:
New blog update with English screens op video

Summer 2015 release

Eiyuu Senki - The World Conquest is coming to PlayStation 3 for the first time in English. Prepare to battle cute world leaders in this massive tactical RPG from Japan! Fruitbat Factory will release the game simultaneously in Europe and North America. Featuring over 70 characters by renowned artist Oyari Ashito and other industry stars, Eiyuu Senki - The World Conquest was developed by TENCO and published on Playstation 3 in Japan by MAGES. label 5pb.Games in September 2013.

In this fantastic adventure, the player finds themselves in an alternate world populated with famous characters of history and legend - who also all happen to be beautiful maidens - and must fight their way to world domination.

“After a successful launch of operations on the PC market, we were looking for an opportunity to expand to console gaming. With Eiyuu Senki we found the chance to do it with a bang. It is a funny mix of a strategy game, RPG and visual novel that will forever change how you remember historical figures.” says Ozhan Sen, graphics and marketing lead.

Synopsis:
In a world where powerful nations run rampant and heroes battle one another for supremacy, the great nation of Britannia seeks to unite the world through peaceful means while the European Union has adopted an aggressive policy and the Seafaring Nation of Vinland thrives on pillage and plunder. Far in the east, the small nation of Zipang is stuck fast in a quagmire of civil unrest.

In the midst of all this, our memory-loss stricken main character has a fateful meeting with a Hero of Yamatai, Himiko. Together they settle Zipang's internal disputes and set off into a world covered with the burning embers of war.

“As long-time fans of tactical RPGs we’re very excited to get to work on this title, which we’ve seen many fans wishing to be localized. We are aiming to release Eiyuu Senki simultaneously in North America and Europe, and will give more updates as they happen.” adds Jakke Elonen, project lead.

Everyone is going to freak out at the character designs and basically derail any conversations about the actual game itself.

I have the PS3 one, its an ok game. Nothing to really write home about as its not like the strategy is exactly deep. Though the characters are amusing.

Am considering getting the Vita ver when it comes out, though wonder if it will include all the new content which was in the Gold version that came out on the PC.

I feel like I heard the name of this game before, but I can't really remember if this is any good. What exactly is this game?
Also, who's Fruitbat Factory, never heard of them either. I guess this is going to be a PSN-only release?

Its a toned down ero-ge made for home consoles. The gameplay part is strategy game related.

Trailer for the PC ver.

Combat basically looks like this

Not going to lie, I haven't even heard of this pub before but I welcome more niche japanese games on the ps3.

I like the art, but I'm not sure I want it, the trailer makes it look like it's 100% battles, I was expecting more eroge.

What about the Vita version?
Anyway i'm happy to see a new company that localize games, this can only mean more localized games :)

There is a lot of story pieces and the parts where there is actual combat isnt all that often really. Its more going through the story bits than anything, with the small bit of micromanagement with the world map stuff once you get it unlocked. That and its not like the game is actually difficult.

Ok, now I'm interested again, so can I expect a lot of CGs with cute girls and a shallow battle system to make things fun once in a while?

Anyway, it's a company I never heard of localizing games that would never be localized otherwise, they have my money, getting this day one.

Its kinda crazy that they are going to localize this as I cant imagine there would be a big market for it. As its not really like the strategy aspect is actually deep and the character art is an acquired taste so to speak. Lots of text to localize thats why and wonder how they are going to pan out with budget vs. sales.

Too much moesluts and loliwhores for my taste...

Pretty much expected considering the artist.

I cannot believe this is coming over. A lot of extremely niche "moe games" have been announced for localization lately.

hmm, gameplay looks kinda interesting, like megaman battle network meets dragon force

how bad is it otherwise?

WAT

I'd never thought this game would be localized. But PS3? It's gonna be dd only anyway, give the Vita some love.

Praise the Oyari.

The PC version is actually a hentai game with many scenes can make FBI crazy , the first release was meh but the second one (Eiyuu Senki Gold) do have a good combat system and somehow a balanced character lineup. I spent about 20 hours in the second one, the quality of playable part is not as good as Eushully titles but still good enough for galgame genre.

The artist is 大槍葦人(@oyari), a demi-god in lolicon community, well you know lolicon is not a bad word in Otaku culture right?

Its pretty simplistic really, its a "character game" in the sense you play it for the characters and the story. Rather than actual gameplay. Which is why folks looking for any sort of "deep" or "challenging" strategy game are going to be let down lol

Saddest thing I read all day.

That image is awesome . . . until you get to the cliché-looking, terribly designed female characters.

I predict no character development whatsoever and a terrible plot.

The endgame part of Eiyuu Senki Gold is pretty deep and challenging, there are many difficult battles and bosses can't simply be beaten by brainless group attack. You need to choose the right character with proper skills, equip the appropriate equipment, observe enemy actions, somehow like playing Hearthstone with puzzle to solve. Even grinding won't help, it need strategy.

I'm curious to find out what they have worked on in the past, but also slightly worried about what I'll find.

Oyari is famous illustrator, and as a game creator, this is his safe for work production: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kita_e
Outside of safe for work field, he is a doujin and manga artist, most of his works could make him end in jail in America but thank god Japan still exist.

Was it localized on PC?

According to VNDB, no.
There was a partial patch only translated the interface for the first title.

Well thank god the PS3 version isnt gold then eh?

The games core design still is the general rock paper scissors with unit types. So its not like seriously the game is all that hard to understand let alone stomp the shit out of the AI

YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I HAVE WANTED THIS GAME SINCE FOREVER.
Seriously, when the translation got DMCA'd I was soooooooooooo sad.
This is literally the happiest moment for me all year.
