Have you ever watched a bad TV series just because you found an actor attractive?

I recently had a conversation with a friend who admitted to me that the sole reason he watched the entire run of the show "Alias" because he had a huge crush on Jennifer Garner at the time, not because he liked the show much. It got me thinking, how many people watch shows just because the actors are attractive?

I always got the feeling that a lot of terrible sci-fi and fantasy tv shows banked on an attractive actor or actress to keep viewers. I've always assumed the GAF members that watch all those Disney Channel shows intended for tween girls do so because they think the actresses are cute.

The best I've come up with for myself was MTV's "Undressed", but that show didn't really have reoccurring characters and was nothing but titillating scenarios. I also watched "Mortal Kombat Conquest" longer than I should have because it had some attractive women, because it sure as shit didn't hold a candle to the first movie.

I tried:

Couldn't get through the first episode.

Lost Girl, fyi

It's not necessarily *bad*, but I just started watching "Being Mary Jane" just to stare at Gabrielle Union.

And she has done....things on that show.

I kinda did this for Quinn in Glee.

It wasn't just physically though, I loved her psychotic bitchy attitude and more then anything I loved her hatred of Rachel.

Sadly they made her kinda nice in season 3 and ruined it. Dropped it when that happened.

Holy shit man, I immediately thought about Undressed before coming into the thread. It was soft-softcore porn basically. All the build up with cutaways right before anything good happened.

But yeah, it was the best I had at the time. What ever works, had a ton of hot actresses

I recently rewatched all the Buffy episodes with Ms. Calendar in them, and half of them were pretty bad episodes.

Is that weird? That's weird, right?

I tolerated the scenes in Mad Men that had Jon Hamm in them because he's so nice to look at. Otherwise it would be the Peggy and Joan show.

I watched a couple of episodes of Camelot for Eva Green. I couldn't watch the rest. Even she couldn't save it.

Greys Anatomy. Dr. Mcsteamy who I first noticed on a calander in the store I was working at. I'm not gay, I think, but I found him a very attractive individual. Something about the show still clicked though because he doesn't even come in until the 3rd season or something.

One of my first bing watching experiences. God I love watching something knowing I have 20 more episodes immediately ready to watch.

*raises hand* I am guilty of watching some pretty dumb korean dramas because the lead actress is <3 No regrets.

I will admit. I watched couple episodes of local polish Soap Opera called "Pensjonat pod różą" solely because I found the lead redhead absolutely adorable:

I stuck with Heroes for far too long because of Sendhil Ramamurthy. I even watched a bit of Covert Affairs for him. That man is too damn beautiful.

There was a terrible late-night gameshow called Throut and Neck. The host was a cute girl who wore (what I now realize) strip-club clothes. Tall boots, plenty of gratuitous skin, and some very shiny outfits. Pre-internet, it wasn't terrible. And it was typically sponsored by Nintendo.

Well, I've never watched tv shows just for the pretty women, but it surely helped me to pick up some tv series.
I would probably never have started watching Doctor Who if not for Karen Gillan stunning red hair and all the gifs. Now i've seen every new-who thing possible.
Continuum was a pretty interesting concept, but the tight bodysuit around Rachel Nichlos made me watch it and I really enjoyed it.

You can convince me to try watching something with a pretty lady, like for example the newly premiered Killer Woman with Tricia Helfer or House of Lies with Kristen Bell, but if I don't enjoy it I'll probably wait for clips on the internet.

But i've certainly watched movies for certain actresses, since it's a smaller time sink. Such guilty pleasures include Dracula 3D for Miriam Giovanelli or the triple-punch that was Bring it On (Dunst, Dushku), Pitch Perfect (Kendrick) and Stick It (Peregrym)

Two Broke Girls is not funny.
Good thing Kat Dennings took those nude photos of herself. The mystique of her twins was dispelled for me.

Just Googled this. I understand now.

Every so often I will check out 2 Broke Girls to see what Kat Dennings is doing. Then like a gazelle in the wild I hear a bad joke then quickly run away.

Holly Robinson Peete kept me watching Hanging with Mr. Cooper.

Kim Coles helped me stick with Living Single.

The best show I can think of to fit this question is Cleopatra 2525

You have good taste, my friend.

He's just so pretty! That's just the first to come to mind. I also watched a good bit of The Event and the new Hawaii Five-O for Ian Anthony Dale and Daniel Dae Kim, respectively.

I'm a serious sucker for a pretty face.

Bah, beat me to it!

Honest answer:

I watched as many shitty Alicia Silverstone movies as I could in my teens. Awful.
