Your guess is as good as mine.

BioWare said:

BioWare is hiring temporary game testers. Our ideal candidates have played both online games such as MMORPGs (Star Wars the Old Republic, DC Universe Online) and action games (Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Infamous).

Familiar with the Star Wars license. Testers experienced with action games, and multiplayer.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy 2.

Force Unleashed 3 or Jedi Knight revival?

I'm down for either, so long as it isn't unfinished like FU2 was... which is a perfectly fitting acronym for that game because it felt like what the real message was to anyone who bought it.

Edit - Oh, does that mean the same game is action and MMO?? No, thank you, I don't want to even consider anything from EA with a subscription model.

It may not be SWTOR, but maybe its a new Kotor game?

All though I don't know if the Austin studio is the one who works on RPG's...

I'm guessing it will be a Star Wars action game. If they're looking for Bayonetta and DMC (hopefully the original games) then maybe it might turn out well.

SOE is also in Austin. MMO central!

SOE actually has studios in several locations (Denver, Austin, Seattle). And their headquarters are in San Diego.

An MMO with combat similar to Bayonetta or Devil May Cry would be godlike.

God no, my heart can't take another one.

It will be Jade Empire SOCIAL. A Freemium game that lets you buy moves and specials without having to earn them. You can also pay "gold coins" to skip fights that you can buy on the micro transaction store. It will also have a very clunky UI, and the graphics will be downgraded to PS1 levels, nay.. Atari Jaguar levels. :p

sounds like Capcom

I'd honestly the series stay dead than to come back in a freemium mobile game

I'm pretty sure every time Jade EMpire is brought up, Bioware laughs about it. I dont see the setting coming back.

Very old. Ads with that wording have been around at least for 4-5 months.

According to what the ads said (combined with others) they're probably working on a single player action RPG and on a MMORPG:

I can see either DmC or Bayonetta combat working really well in either a Star Wars or Jade Empire setting. But I would rather have the same combat from KOTOR 1/2 in 3. No chance in that happening. Action RPG for sure.

I'm curious to see what this is. Surely Star Wars based. I'd kill for a new Star Wars RPG so I'm looking forward to it. The TOR story wasn't bad (depending on which class you played).

Bioware Austin should be more concerned with the snails pace they put out content for their MMO that they don't even deliver on the promises they made.

Man, I really hope this isn't leading towards another MMO. Is TOR doing well enough for them to consider another one?

Its profitable enough with the cartel market. But I doubt they could afford another MMO. Star Wars is alive because its Star Wars. They are no longer doing class specific stories etc. because it takes too much effort.

Sounds a lot like Galaxies. We need to get rid of 28 professions because it takes too much work. Don't promise shit you cant keep delivering on.
