Some information in the ign video.
-Perks choose an god: Apollo(Health), mars(damage), jupiter(stun?)
-Gear:Armor,sword and shields so far.
-Editor for arena tiles.
-Roll move in the at 9:45 ish.

Clunky game play that almost reminds me of some kind of Battle Arena Toshinden style movement. Graphics looking good.

CryEngine 3.5, and utilizing an impressive number of higher-end features from what is being showed.

Personally hoping there's an SMAA implementation in the final game, AA looks promising as is.
 
Graphically it looks very potent, although the arena's during battle are a bit claustrophobic. Gameplay wise it still looks poor imo, sort of like a graphically improved version of the F2P Saprtacus game, if anything, less diverse based on what we've seen thus far.

This is like a Horde mode? Looks fun, but a little shallow. Should steal some gameplay ideas from Horde 2.0 where you build up your base before each wave of attack and level up your abilities.The lightning attack is interesting. I hope the characters/story/voice acting/music in the campaign live up to a Halo/Gears level production. If they can give me something that feels like cross of Gladiator and Clash of the Titans I will be so happy. I really hope Crytek doesn't screw this up.

Any word on chariot gameplay? Maybe with some Kinect control? They could totally do co-op where the chariot is like the Warthog from Halo (one person steers while the other person attacks).
 
It reminds me of that Conan game that was out a few years ago. Looks pretty but animates poorly. Conan was fun though.

Crytek has not made a good game since 2007 so there's that on my mind.
 
while the combat isnt A+, imo it definitely isnt as bad as everybody makes it out to be. I just got done playing the Witcher 2, and this seems just as clunky as that and I had fun

The multiplayer took a hit compared to what was shown for single player at E3 though. But I guess that is standard.

Gameplay looks boring as shit though.

I would say "hasn't made a great game"

Crysis 3 is good. But pales in comparison to C1 in level design and enemy encounters.

Witcher 2 had terrible combat, but it had a great everything else. This just looks pretty.
 
Looks like a fighting game with that life/blood bar in a stage... looks midly fun though.

Needs more moves + special moves or w/e. The game def has a thing of it's own.

Ryse could have a fantastic story, cinematic set pieces, etc. So imo, I would still enjoy he game even though the combat isnt perfect. I mean, I loved playing Skyrim. So clearly it isnt the deciding factor for me

Its certainly interesting but coop alone will not keep me playing it longer then 3~4 hours need some pvp in it. Need to know more is sword and shield only combo or can we dual wield, trident and net and other variants.

Also in the ign link at around 9:45 timestamp and evade roll.
