Knack [PS4] Gamescom trailer

I want this game to be good. I liked the trailer. I just need to see more platforming, and a better animation that doesn't look like Knack is sliding on the ground.

I'll be getting this AC4 and Watchdogs at launch. I really can't wait for this game though, I need my 3D action platformer fix and this seems to fit that perfectly. Plus I trust Cerny thanks to pedigree.

Can't wait!

Much better trailer. I don't get the hate for this game. I don't think sales will light the world on fire, but it looks like a fun linear brawler.

I need to see gameplay. Played pretty bland, was choppy and the hit detection was off at e3. Hoping for a miracle they can turn it around for november because i really want to have a game to pick up at ps4 launch. If this doesnt turn out good I will wait till next year.

I'm looking at those screens at gamersyde and I'm now wishing this was open world with rpg elements. Graphics look really good now...love the soft look of the lighting

Game almost seems like it's not rendering in 1080p native, which seems astonishing considering the graphical fidelity, but it doesn't look too bad. Definitely looks better in motion, though.

If true, this would be the second time SCE Japan made a game that doesn't run at native res (Gravity Rush being the first). Coincidentally, both are on new hardware. I wonder what the hell is going on?

This trailer is giving a better sense of some gameplay variety, and more dynamic environments. Interest reviving.

The gameplay aspects are becoming clearer:

You build up in size as you go, at various story points (looks like 3 at least in the trailer) you bust back down to the base Knack

Multiple materials: Glass, Fire, Ice, Relic (?) for certain purposes

Enemy damage actually makes you shrink, which could be interesting as a mechanic. If they thought this through it means fights could get harder as you do worse, etc.

Visually I think it looks pretty good. Wish the game didn't look like such a bore, maybe the final release will surprise...

The cinematics look really good to me. I like the cartoonish style.

but whenever I’ve seen gameplay, the environments and camera angles make it look desolate and plain. :\

It’s not something I’ll be getting at launch but I can see it being one of the first “instant game library” titles for PS+ and I’ll probably play it then

Trailer was actually pretty good, first time I've seen the game were I've actually been interested. looks way better then the reveal. This is catching my interest

It definitely looks more fleshed out now. It's obviously designed to be appealing to the widest possible audience. Going to need to play it a bit in demo before I consider dropping money on it.

I think that this game is made by really small team. Hopefully maniacs who made one million Puppeteer levels will soon start working on PS4.

I pre-ordered a PS4 with this game on Amazon, but I'm still considering cancelling my order. I should be excited for this game, but I just can't get into it for some reason. I have been there for all of these Sony-mascot games since the beginning (and I love Japan Studio too), but there's just something not quite clicking with me when I see this game. With all else that's releasing this year, I think I may just pass on the system and this game and wait until next year. I think a part of me just wishes we would have gotten Ape Escape 4 again. Game just doesn't look all that exciting even though it's trying to be...I don't know, so conflicted about this game.

I was initially intrigued by the debut trailer, but the E3 demo looked very bland and boring. This trailer did nothing to restore my hopes. This will probably be a skip for me unless they show some interesting gameplay.

Screens from the video. This looks markedly better than we saw before. Evidently most of the launch PS4 first party games have had a nice boost in visuals. I mean, this looks...actually...dare I say it...graphically pretty solid. Clean, nice lighting, decent textures, pixar like art direction. Still not sold on the gameplay though, but certainly looks a lot more impressive than before. Be interesting to see how it fares critically.
