The Walking Dead Season 2 Details

A few details about the second season of TWD were revealed at Comic Con.

IGN said:
During a panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, Telltale provided the first details about The Walking Dead: The Game’s second season.

According to the panel, Clementine “will definitely be a part of” the upcoming season, and the fate of
Kenny
“will be explored.”
A teaser image revealed during the panel showed what appeared to be Clementine sitting in the rain next to a child.

Little else is known about season two, and there’s still no details on whether this means these characters will be playable or if they’ll simply be making cameo appearances. Telltale did mention that, unlike the delay with season one, the second season will launch on Vita alongside other platforms.

Not much, but at least it's something.

Expected, but YEEESSSSSSS!!!

EDIT: Wait,
Kenny's fate
will be explored?
He died, didn't he
?

Just finished season one yesterday and was on the edge of my chair the whole time. Such an amazing game. Just have to finish 400 days today and my body will be ready!!!

Honestly, I hope Clementine (and Kenny) doesn't play a big role in S2. I'm over those characters now, and after playing 400 Days, I am 100% ready to jump in the shoes of these new characters.

Regarding the spoiler:

I just knew Kenny was alive. After all, no matter how he exits in episode 5, you never hear or see him die. Classic horror story rule: if you don't see a body, assume they're alive!

Of course, I'm interpreting them bringing up the question at all as confirmation of him being alive.

After playing 400 Days, I'm really concerned about season 2.

I watched a playthrough and it seemed well put together. Expecting the same tension and character development in one episode compared to Season one's five episodes will only lead to disappointment.

That character can go fuck itself. What makes Telltale think people care about that douche?

I care about that douche, only person I didn't care for was Lily's dad.

He might have gotten out of the alleyway.

Chances are between 0% and 3%. He got bum rushed.

Kenny's fate is a bit more up-in-the-air of Ben dies in episode 4. He drops into a dark building and kind of disappears and it's implied that zombies got him but you never really see the zombies or the room or the lack of a way out.

If Ben survives until episode 5, Kenny gets swarmed by a zillion clearly visible zombies in an alley and if it's revealed that he somehow didn't get eaten, I'll be displeased.

The Walking Dead is unique in the character development department. Humans don't set ideals or their own personality in stone, people change, people lie, people are hypocrites. Anyone can play a engaging role in the story, as long as the writing and humility are there.

That being said the majority of characters are going to be new, the spotlight or main themes of the game might not revolve around Clem this time.

If the majority of the characters weren't new, it'd be a pretty small cast.

I hope what ever happens that TWD:S02 will be on current gen since I read people talking about hoping it's on next gen. As long as all bases are covered we should all be happy.

Which one was Ben, the skinny high school kid? Man, I vaguely remember what happened in the last 25% of the game.

WTF? 400 days was fantastic

No, it wasn't. The structure worked against building attachment to any character because you just kept quick-cutting to the next one. I didn't care about the characters, so the choices lacked impact. Also, they added some new gameplay elements, all of which were completely clunky and awful. In particular, the "push forward on the mouse to sneak/move quickly" didn't work at all.

He might have gotten out of the alleyway.

Bullshit. If TT uses him further it would just be stupid, considering the way the story unfolded.

unlike the delay with season one, the second season will launch on Vita alongside other platforms.

And what will this cost me? I am up for playing it again on my Vita but not at full price for the two seasons.

If this is the case then this would be more bullshit from TT :)

Don't care about spoiler character. I want to SEE
Lily die a painful bloody death, that bitch. Unless she's in 400 Days haven't played it yet.

I thought it did a serviceable job of getting you to like the characters in the time you had with them.
I actually felt bad leaving my friend behind during Wyatt's story. Dude was just likable. Same goes for Vince and both of his potential crew members.

Nah, the way Season 1 ended only made me want to continue Clementine's story and she how she develops
after losing everyone in her group including her protector Lee and her own parents
. I'm hoping she comes with the group from 400 Days and goes from there.

I wish I could have left them both behind in Wyatt's story.

This looks pretty good, and im excited to play through the first season on vita, but I have to ask....Where the hell is Fables? Was hoping for more info, and Comic Con would have been the most logical place for it.

im down

down down down down down

give it to me

That character can go fuck itself. What makes Telltale think people care about that douche?

he could be 100% different depending on your playthrough dude. Kenny was absolutely my bro, and had my back every single time.

Let me
kill Lilly/ Zombie Lilly. Thinking she would get away with killing my favorite character.
.

Amen. Props to them, they sure knew how to make a detestable character (well a lot of them were but yeah). I'm really glad the comic book tie in was retconned too.

lol, I'm dying.

I remember debating with people that there's no way Kenny lived in the spoiler thread, and now this?

Also, fuck yeah more Clem!

Man, that had my PS controller across the room. I was frantically trying to choose dialog to
cause Ben to get shot, if anything
, and instead, noooo,
Carly takes a bullet through the eye.
.

Caused me to immediately despise
Ben
even more, especially after
he confessed it was his fault.

I've been saying that Kenny lived. The way his "death" was framed made it pretty obvious. It was intentionally ambiguous.

Had a feeling
Kenny is still alive...thrilled as he was my favorite after Lee and Clem.

I wish it was a new cast of characters. I don't really want to see Clementine again.
Why? Did you dislike the character or just think the conclusion of season 1 ended things well enough?
