Geez. Last Resi game I played was 4, so weird seeing Leon prance around and do ballet all over the video. All I remember in RE4 was pointing my gun around and having Leon stiffly move across a hallway in anticipation and fear
 
While I still think I will enjoy the game, I have to be honest and admit that the quick time events are probably some of the worst I have seen in how they are implemented. The game simply does not need them.
 
The biggest offender is that stupid "key hunting segment". What a load of crap with the camera shifting all over the place and you frantically trying to figure out what you're suppose to focus on.
 
I literally just played that segment five minutes ago. I was confused. I was just wiggling the stick all over.
I didn't think it was that bad if it's just a one-time thing.
 
The best thing is, if you're playing with Helena (his partner) in online co-op... you just have to stand there, doing nothing, just staring at Leon and moving the camera, while he does his long QTE dance.

Oh god, when he pulled down the sun-shade-thing (what are those called?) to look for the keys I lost it. I just lost it.

Is it wrong that this makes me want this game even more?

You are in for a treat.

I've been replaying it this past week and there are certain QTEs in RE4 that seem extraneous but the QTEs in boss fights are still great. Cut-scene QTEs are cool the first time around but merely tolerable once you know they are coming.
 
I wonder if that infected cop is just gonna patiently wait for you to finish that QTE sequence before smashing the car's window.
