Wait, did you think the Nintendo Switch was going to have a monopoly on Firmware update from now on?

New update brings firmware version to 11.6.0-39, but not patch notes as of writing, so assuming it's just bi-monthly "stability" fixes *cough*.

Fake edit: yup, Japanese patch notes confirm that posting of horse-related GIFs and jokes in this thread is legal.

Well, yeah, that's pretty much the only thing it's been getting in the past year or so. Though I expected maybe a few Miiverse-related changes this time around, too.

Is "new Firmware" only for "New 3DS"? Or does this apply to regular 3DS and 2DS as well?

It's for all models, hasn't been a New 3DS update since launch iirc.
