Nvidia 359.06 Drivers

AMD Crimson Drivers

Comparison with Xbox 360 version courtesy of Tain. 360 top PC bottom

Will add benchmarks if and when they show up, but I wanted to get a discussion started in the mean time. A lot of GAF has this already, because it's free so it should be easy to get impressions.

Stupid, weird question and possibly not the right place to ask this, but has anyone had any success running this in Wine on OS X/Linux?

This thing runs like a dog on my 460, which can handle plenty of last gen AAA games at close to 60fps. What's the deal here? I turned off AA and switched to DX9 and I'm still at 30fps or below.

My drivers are very out of date because every time I update I have stability issues. Could that account for such poor performance? Seems like it shouldn't be a big deal.

It runs at a locked 60 FPS for me on a 970 at 2560x1440 FWIW. (No dowsampling, since the HuD size is resolution-bound. Too bad really, the in-game AA isn't all that)

Runs really bad on my Surface Pro 2. I know it's a laptop, but I thought it would have run better considering it was a low budget 360 game from 2009. my SP2 can run other games that you think would demand more power.

I turned everything to low and turned off vsync and it still doesn't look like a smooth 60fps. Is there something in a .ini I should be messing with?

Didn't run great on my Quadro K5200 at work.. But I was trying for 1440p with max settings. Wish those Quadros ran games better lol

Which dx version did you test with?

Runs 1080p/60fps on my setup (i7-6700k/gtx 980 ti) with everything at max. Only place it's a little weird is the minecart which is very choppy.

All in all it's a massive improvement on the 360 version, but I still feel it's overrated and both controls and animations could stand to be improved.

Thus far, runs at a near-constant 60fps at 1080p/max on my GTX 860M laptop.

Which it damn well should, given that it's still a 2009 game, but I've heard some complaints about poor optimization from people with other setups.

Even though i've got a gamimg desktop with 4770k and gtx980, i'd like to play it in mobility on my Surface 3, is it playable there? i've got the 2GB ram version, and is it easy to control with touchpad and keyboard or a gamepad is really recommanded?

So far an easy 120fps. But it is locked @ 60hz unless you change the windowed mode btw.

The one dx11 requiring effect is the bokeh DoF that you see in cutscenes or in menu pauses. Perhaps not worth it for those who want to try out Driver AA on NV IMO.

Also, interestingly, this game uses the pre-Gears of War 3 object motion blur that Unreal Engine had.

In DX9 mode and AA turned off I'm getting 60 fps pretty much locked with a 460 at 1680x1050. My drivers are a few releases behind but not that out of date so it could be that.

a core2duo OC to 3.2, 7 year old ram sticks at 800mhz and a gtx 950 and I can get 60fps with stutter now and again from loading and scene changes, fully playable in DX11 at 1080p

I need to try DX9 with some tweaks to see if I can remove the loading stutter.

My laptop with an 860m does the same until I go under water, then it drops.

Pretty solid 120fps on my i5 2500k/GTX 970 on an SSD, aside from a small hitch everytime it streams in data.

Thanks for the tip! After restarting the game with DX9 it got closer to 60 so I'm just going to play it like that. Don't want to mess with my drivers until I get a new card next year.

This remaster is still technically ass, though.

I'm playing on my 720p 120Hz projector now -- usually I never use native res on that but I kind of have to here due to the UI. At least this means that it runs at a locked 120 FPS (outside of small loading hiccups on zone switches).

The game does have the usual UE3 .ini settings regarding framerate by the way.

Hmm. I didn't notice that problem, but maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention? I have a Lenovo Y50-70 with 2GB of VRAM, if that helps.

So which pic in the op is the PC. I assume the top one?

PC is bottom.

I'm getting really bad performance on my i5/7870XT combo. GPU usage is constantly spiking.

I also ran into an issue last night where the mine cart kept dropping me out before the jump.

Getting random frame drops here. Also, switching DX11 doesn't seem to do anything for me.

60 fps mainly, but hiccups between 30-40 and then back to 60. Odd. Maybe AMD?

R9 270x, Core i3 4130, 8 GB RAM.

For a last gen, low fidelity, Xbox live title this game runs like shit. I got it for free so I can't bitch too much, but it's terrible.

So, why won't the game go full-screen for me? Using latest drivers but, every time I start it, it just takes up the middle of my screen. Changing the resolution/window options in game doesn't do anything.
